When a lonely bear shifter comes across a woman lost in the woods all hell breaks loose. His inner bear recognises his mate immediately, but Brenin lets his head rule his heart, and refuses to let himself fall for the curvy beauty.

Charlie is lost and scared, and the appearance of a huge bear doesn't help one bit. Neither does being taken to a deserted house where she's snowed in with a group of huge men, including the one she's trying to fight her attraction to.

Add in some matchmaking good fae, the wicked dark fae, and a lot of lust, and this is one sizzling bear shifter romance you don't want to miss.

Can the fae folk play matchmaker, or will Brenin and Charlie fight their attraction to the end?

Bear shifters, curvy human mates, and a guaranteed happy ever after!

I'm a UK based author who loves to read and write all things romance. As Skye Jones I write steamy paranormal romance that ranges from light and fun to dark and gritty.

As S.R. Jones I write darker contemporary romance and romantic suspense.

I live in Yorkshire, and get lots of inspiration from the windswept moors, the old stone buildings and the Celtic myths of this fair isle.

My dogs are my favourite people, and I'm quite fond of my husband too. I love chocolate and starbucks mochas and keep meaning to give them up for a life as a svelte fashion plate - it never happens!

This is a quick easy read. It was enjoyable and a nice twist on the usual paranormal with fae and shifters. I also liked this was set in Wales, so some Celtic imagery a plenty.

The mate bond was done well, even though this is insta-love and the page count was small, there was still a passing of time before the deed was done. Finished on a fade to black HFN - ending with some set up for future stories.

Last 20% of the book was a taster for another series by the author.

First time author for me and will now definitely look-see what else is available.

Not a bad start to this new shifter series. I liked the twist with the fae and would love to discover more about them.
The story itself was okay. It was a little hard to get into for me and I couldn't really connect with the characters.

Charlie is an insurance underwriter lost on the moors, when her team from work is out on a team0building exercise and she stops to look at a rare red squirrel. She with her gimpy steps go in search of the others when she twists her ankle on a root – on her bad leg too. When a bear approaches and sniffs her, she passes out.

Bear-shifter Brenin knows her scent says “mate” – but he does not want a mate, and certainly not a human one. His mom never accepted the change so his dad watched her grow old and die. The fae are messing with Charlie, sending her messages – the matchmaking ones want her to stay with Brenin; the mischief makers are warning her away. What is a woman to think? A tumultuous read!!

Thoroughly enjoyed this first book of the Fae Dating Agency! I actually enjoyed that there was hesitation between the fated couple. It just made me cheer for a Brenin and Charlie even more. The role the Fae played was a bit subdued, but being book one I imagine more layers will develop with each book. The storyline moved great and I was actually a bit surprised that a Brenin could resist as well as he did. Looking forward to more of this series.

Oh wow.. this is an amazing story.. Ms Jones has done a job in capturing our imagination in this story.
When Brenin runs into Charlie in his bear form, she is lost and cold. Brenin knows Charlie is his mate but fights the mating pull with everything in him.. Charlie doesn't understand her attraction to Brenin but is hurt by Brenin pulling away from her. When Charlie goes missing, Brenin finally realizes what she means to him but will he be to late to save her from the dark fairies out to make mischief.. This is a great start to what I believe will be another amazing series from Ms Skye Jones..

Oh my God, it’s going to eat me. 5 GOLD HEARTS

What did you do when faced with an angry bear? Did you run? Or did you fight it? Throw rocks, perhaps? In this topsy-turvy world of magic and mayhem, she didn’t understand the rules. They think you and I are a match made in heaven. Oh my God. Bren will do. WHOOT!! What a FAETASTIC book!! It's so GRRRREAT, I don't know where to start! It's stuffed full of humor, hotness, secrets & surprises, multifaceted characters, Cupid-playing Fae, trickster Fae & one all-around heat filled entertaining storyline! I think it was pretty instant that I fell for the characters, not just Charlie and Brenin, but the others as well! Charlotte is all kinds of awesome!! She's full of wicked sass & humor, a firecracker who could go off at any moment, but yet she also has a softer, caring side that's filled with tenderness, love, shyness & insecurity, all wrapped up in her heart of gold! As for Brenin... he is one BEARY hot, funny, foul mouthed, grumpy, caring, loving, stubborn, sexy & scared hunk of grizzly! Trust me, that all makes sense after you read the story!! wink One of my favorite parts to a shifter book is when the animal has its own personality, or in this case, the BEARALITY! I love the conversations that Bren & his Bear have with each other, how the Bear mutters away or tries to convince, influence & outright take over to get what he wants - Charlie!! To me, it adds that extra level of something-something, enhancing & enriching the whole experience, and I think that Skye did this so FURRIFICALLY! She had me in stitches, giggling away every time Brenin was arguing with his Bear half, grumbling at him or just trying to ignore him! All in all, I love, Love, LOVE Skye's Bear Shifters and I cannot wait to see what she has in store for them - and us! But having read and LOVED every single one of her paranormal books, and knowing just how FURNOMENALLY talented she is, I know it will be one helluva hot & amazing adventure! And I for one CANNOT wait for more!

I voluntarily ARC for honest review. This story is about an alpha bear shifter Brenin and his human fated mate Charlie. With the help from FAE DATING AGENCY trying to get them together and at the same time dark Fae (mischievous mischiefmakers) to keep them apart. The storyline and characters are brilliant exquisitely well written and story is drama rom-com adventure provocative animalistic hot streamy explosives sex or slow sweet gentle sex mystery and touch of light and dark Fae ( just like Fate or just life)

Brenin is a bear shifter and the leader of his clan of bears. After watching his father's heartbreak when his human mother died, Brenin is determined to never mate with a human. Unlike other shifters, bears have the ability to turn their human mates, but his mother chose not to be turned. When he comes across Charlie, he is shocked to learn that the pretty human is his mate. Even as his instincts are calling her to him, he tries to resist her pull.

For her part, Charlie can't help but be attracted to Brenin. Even as she is introduced to a world she never knew, she has to confront whether she'd be willing to make the ultimate sacrifice and trade her humanity to become a bear.

As with her other paranormal books, Ms. Jones does not forget that just because a pair is fated that they will need to immediately jump into a relationship. While aspects of their relationship happen pretty quickly, Brenin and Charlie don't jump into a happily ever after right away.

I have few complaints that would likely have been solved had this book been longer than it was. I would have liked to have seen more of their relationship develop. Charlie is thrown into a foreign world, but not much time is spent dealing with that. I would have also liked to have seen more of the relationship between Brenin and the other bear shifters. While the secondary characters are present, they seem to exist more for pushing the plot along than anything else.

While this is the first book in the Fae Dating Agency series, Skye Jones implies that her previous paranormal series are, at the least, connected to this universe. Indeed, this is a world where the fae exist - both good and evil - and mention is made of wolves, druids, and dragons. It will be interesting to see how all of this unfolds in Ms. Jones' larger universe.

Overall, this is a light, fun, and sexy read to introduce Ms. Jones' newest series. If you're already a fan of Skye Jones, you will certainly enjoy this.

Fae doing some meddling

Charlie doesn't know why her bosses wanted her coworkers and her to do this team building event, at such an odd time of the year. But getting lost wasn't what she wanted to do. Next thing you know she staring face to face with a bear. Then blackness, than being on a strange bed.
Brenin was in bear form when he spotted the beautiful woman, the one his bear says is his mate. Problem is that she's human, and he doesn't want to repeat what happened to his dad.
Some of the Fae in the area are good but others are mischief-makers. And Brenin thinks they be the reason Charlie ended up where he found her.
Interesting and entertaining self-contained story to read.

I really enjoy paranormal romances and this one delivers a good storyline and interesting characters. Brenin and Charlie may belong together but they are not wanting to rush into anything. He has serious concerns about having a human as his mate. She is not sure what to make of this paranormal world and likes being a human. They have some special matchmakers in the mix too that create some havoc too. It is a good read and I recommend it.

Book one in the fae dating agency series
Charlotte or Charlie for short has gone on a company bonding trip in the forest of Wales and is hopelessly lost. When her luck gets worse she runs into a bear.
The Fae are out and playing games Charlie hears two voices one saying stay this is where she belongs and one telling her to run. The bear will eat her
Then thier is a bear shifter named brenin. He wants nothing to do with humans. So why is his bear telling him she is his mate? A human only brings heart break. When she falls and hit her head he can't leave her thier to die in the show plus the fae seem to be out. He can hear thier whispers on the wind. He can't leave her to them to.
Love the characters in this one so much fun and drama. So can they fight what the fae put together or will they take a chance at love?

Fairies and Mates

What a neat twist on paranormal mates. This was a cute short read. I enjoyed it. There were some questions I had but I feel with this being book 1 some might be answered in the next one.
Charlotte in all honesty was alone. She came into Brenin's world scared and cold. I liked how she grew as a character. She had some insecurities and while she tried to fight them, they still plagued her until Brenin came along.
There was humor in the pack with this story. I enjoyed the banter and mix of shifters and fae. I would recommend this to anyone that wants a quick short paranormal read with a HEA.

Great start to a new series. The fae have bigger role in this series. Instead of fate, the fae are now finding the mates for the shifters. But not all fae are nice and the bad fae would love to trick you. The series starts off with one human female getting lost in the forest and soon meeting a bear. Thankfully the bear is a shifter and this meeting will change both of their lives.

Can't wait to see what the good and the bad fae do in this series. If you like PNR, then you will enjoy this fast read.

Brenin (Fae Dating Agency) by Skye Jones
Great Read...
Charlie was lost from the group she was with, but she heard voices in the forest and thought it was them. So she headed into the forest following the voices. She didn't find any humans but she did find a great big bear. Scared she tried throwing a rock at the bear and hit it in the head. She ended up falling and hitting her head and blacked out. I really liked this story and can't wait till the next book to read. I loved the way Skye Jones wrote this story, it made me laugh, cry, and made me happy at the end. Liked it!

I really appreciated the female lead's strength in sticking with her own mind and taking time, instead of moving in 3 hours after meeting her mate! A good story, and I want to see who is set up next. 🐺
