Spoiler Ahead This was book 5 in the "The Alpha Billionaire's Revenge" series. Although I did like this book still gave it 3 stars the cliffhangers are killing me when the story is so short. Jonas has hated Linnea for years, with no way to forgive her until now. At last he will take his revenge, make Linnea pay for her crimes and finally put the past behind him. But she didn't do it and now she is paying for it. This book had some hot scenes in it. While this book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling and I am not liking all of the cliffhangers in it I am looking for ward to reading the next book in this dark romance.

This was a short quick that was ok. Jonas Westerling has it all: money, power, a reputation for brilliance, a family he will fiercely protect and the burning need for revenge. Linnea Melbourne has nothing. No friends family or lovers. Jonas Westerling wants revenge and he's determined to have it. He's been planning it for 10 long years and he will not be denied. An unknown young woman almost destroyed his fourteen year old brother, ruining any chance for a normal future, and she must suffer. He's been searching for ten long years and he's finally found her. Now she will pay - not with money for she has none but he wants something even more valuable - the unconditional surrender of her body and her will. He's going to break her and when he's finished using her, he'll toss her away like the garbage she is. But when she's literally abducted and forced to meet the wealthy billionaire Jonas Westerling, she has no idea what's happening or why - until she realizes that he has obviously mistaken her for her twin. She's immediately drawn to the handsome, dark, brooding and often cruel businessman but how can you be attracted to someone who wants to destroy you? Someone you know you should hate? The book was ok I felt it was too short and had me wanting more. The book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling this was my first time reading this author. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

This was book two in the"The Alpha Billionaire's Revenge" This was a short quick read that was okay. Jonas has hated Linnea for years, with no way to forgive her...until now. At last he will take his revenge, make Linnea pay for her crimes and finally put the past behind him. Linnea Melbourne has nothing. No friends, no lovers, no worldly experience, no resources and no idea what's about to happen to her. While this book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling it was short and has a cliffhanger. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

He's a jerk, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt since he's doing this for his brother. She's a very good sister, and I like how she doesn't let him totally rule over her. Don't know if I would be that good.

Wow! I love this series, or I should say serial because the story was originally released in installments but is now complete. None of the books in this serial are standalone reads and each release does contain a cliffhanger but maybe I'm just a bit weird because I love this concept, especially when the book is part of the Kindle Unlimited program. These short installments are perfect for a quick naughty break. I read each of the nine installments as they were originally released. Fortunately, the author has now released the first five installments into one convenient box set and has also released another collection containing the four remaining installments. Now having warned everyone right up front, I'd like to talk about the story itself. Quite frankly, this is my first time reading Deana Farrady's work and I had no idea what to expect. I saw an advertisement offering the first book for free and after reading the blurb, I decided I would try it, read a few pages and if I didn't like it, I'd just stop reading. Well, I didn't stop reading because I couldn't! I was immediately drawn into this story and fortunately there were six more books in the series already available so I binged and read all seven in one sitting. I loved it! I'm a little fickle about reviewing a 'new to me' author so I decided to hold off on leaving a review until I had a better grasp of the story and the author's talent but now after having read the first eight books, I can honestly state that I'm very impressed with Farrady's skill as a writer. Some people are born with a natural innate ability as a storyteller and Farrady seems to be abundantly blessed with this gift. I was also impressed by her language skills. This story is beautifully written with good grammar and spelling, great sentence structure, good punctuation and exceptional vocabulary/word skills. The narrative is written in the third person with alternating his and her points of view. The dialogue is seductive, well executed and flows effortlessly. But it's the magnificent cast of well developed characters that will draw you in and steal your heart. The interaction and sexual chemistry between the male and female protagonists is so darn hot, it sizzles! I know this breakdown of the story may sound pretty boring but it takes all of these elements to craft a great book rather than just a good book. I'm not a professional reviewer but I do know what I like, what I love and what I don't, and I truly love this story.

OMG! I was totally blown away by the conclusion of this story. No spoilers from me but I will say that this book is probably twice as long as any of the previously released installments and I was on the edge of my seat for every single word! It was sheer and utter perfection! I loved it! Well done Deana Farrady, well done indeed! I am officially a fan for life! I can hardly wait to see what you have in store for us next!

I had such high hopes
I really wanted to enjoy this story (warning, despite being 5 books, it is not the whole story). But two things detracted far too much to forgive:
The main character, Jonas, is petty and cruel in ways that strain credulity. The female lead, Linnea, is not a heroine, more like a self-debasing doormat who accepts his "punishments" for her own reasons.
Secondly, the writing is uneven, there is no other way to say it. Stilted dialogue and overworked descriptions that go nowhere.
Likely some enjoy the cruelty and debasement. I simply do not.

I was immediately drawn into this story and fortunately there were six more books in the series already available so I binged and read all seven in one sitting. I loved it! I'm a little fickle about reviewing a 'new to me' author so I decided to hold off on leaving a review until I had a better grasp of the story and the author's talent but now after having read the first eight books, I can honestly state that I'm very impressed with Farrady's skill as a writer. Some people are born with a natural innate ability as a storyteller and Farrady seems to be abundantly blessed with this gift. I was also impressed by her language skills. This story is beautifully written with good grammar and spelling, great sentence structure, good punctuation and exceptional vocabulary/word skills. The narrative is written in the third person with alternating his and her points of view. The dialogue is seductive, well executed and flows effortlessly. But it's the magnificent cast of well developed characters that will draw you in and steal your heart. The interaction and sexual chemistry between the male and female protagonists is so darn hot, it sizzles! I know this breakdown of the story may sound pretty boring but it takes all of these elements to craft a great book rather than just a good book. I'm not a professional reviewer but I do know what I like, what I love and what I don't, and I truly love this story.

Luckily, she (his plaything) enjoys it just as much as he! If you want to read this book, you really must love erotica books because Jones Westerling is very serious about his revenge and he takes revenge whenever and wherever he can!

Deana Farrady is a new writer to me but with this first part of ‘Hot vengeance’, she certainly got my attention! Hot vengeance is a serial that consist of 9 ‘books’. This story has a dark twist so if you don’t like that I wouldn’t recommend it to you.
When Linnea Melbourne woke up this morning everything was fine and normal, she couldn’t know then that that day she would meet a man who would change her life forever! Chicago billionaire Jonas Westerling has been watching Linnea for years, years to think about revenge, for planning her punishment by making her become his plaything. So when they meet that day he demands that from that day on she does whatever he wants, however he was it, for as long as he wants it. If not, then there will be big consequences, not only for her but also for the people that she loves.
For years now Jonas Westerling has been watching Linnea and waiting for just the perfect moment to take revenge on her and now the time has finally come to do just that on the woman that almost destroyed someone he loves and making her his plaything is the perfect revenge he thinks.
However, there are a few things that he didn’t think about, like the fact that maybe Linnea is innocent of the crime that he thinks she did and that maybe someone she loves did it and just like him she would do everything she can to protect that person. That Linnea even would go so far as to agree with his plan. Nor did he think about the fact that there could be passion between the two of them. Maybe this started as revenge but how will it end?

I usually stay well away from serial reads, but this was sent to me to review by the author and well, I'm glad she sent it!
What I liked the most about Revenge Volume 1, is the easy to fall into read. I didn't agree with all the prose as in how they act together outside of having sex, Linnea wound me up a few times as did Jonas but for all intent and purposes this is good easy reading. I liked Linnea for the most part, I didn't like how easily she went into the agreement with Jonas. I prefer Jonas out of the two, his vernacular for the most part was deffo dominant and assertive, but I wanted him do follow through with his 'punishments', this could be a darker read and very satisfying if gone down that route. For instance when he let her go from the office the first time, he should have stood his ground. As it stands I don't see much in the way of him digging deep to forgive Linnea all the while he doesn't know the truth, he acts very much concerned about her welfare. But I do really like him.
I cannot fault the explosive sex, I did do a little sigh with the toy play at the dinner, I feel that's been done so many times now it's a tad 'old hat.' I did feel a connection with their chemistry, I don't feel they would have fallen for each other in two days though, or her, especially under the circumstances, but this is fiction so I'm cool that anything goes.
I am really intrigued to see what happens in volume 2, I am glad I have that on kindle already to dive straight into. I really like reads like this, it's not exactly a page turner it's just like good easy listening music, fun to read and easy to digest.

Linnea on the other hand gets to explore a whole new side of her with the guidance of Jonas, but when she finds out about his revenge plan…will she even be able to leave or will she stick by his side?
I wish I could say more, but that’s all. I would highly recommend this book for those who enjoy dark erotic romances. This is not for the faint of heart. (Side Note: Vol 1. does end in a cliffhanger.)

This picks up right where volume 1 finished. Volume 2 was better than volume 1 in my opinion, the breadcrumbs scattered before began to make the suspense of the who's, whys and wherefores and there were some great touches.
Between the story moving forward I did find some passages a little long winded and procastinaty (yes a play on word there ☺) but all in all this story works. I found it neither dark nor disturbing, but a fair paced jaunt along the life of a dominant man who is hell bent on 'punishment' but never really dishes any out.
Some may sum of the characters as Linnea being a little meek and weak and Jonas being a wannabe dominant but never quite making it. For me I just found them both quite endearing. Yes they both had elements that drove me up the wall sometimes but I love that characters can pee me off just as much as they can excite me.
I'm glad I read this as just two books, I honestly don't know if I'd have stayed the distance reading it as a serial read, but then I avoid serial reads most of the time anyway. If you're looking for a encapsulating type escape read, into a world that you'll never find yourself, with alpha billionaires in, then you should enjoy this. It's a good kind off old fashioned romance meets erotic with a small mix of suspense.

Oh my God!!!! Must Read Alert!!!! Deana Farrady just rocked my world!!! Hot Vengeance is an amazing read!!!!! Very well written with a brilliant, very creative, twisted and dark concept, sexy and irresistible characters, high wired tension and sizzling chemistry Jonas and Linnea's story is just addictive!!!! The author's talent is obvious in the way she bends a morally very wrong vengeance into an exciting tale!!!! Her writing style is so smooth, it makes you feel the deep connection between the characters, the burning attraction, which turns this dark romance into a pleasure ride!!! Don't be sceptic about its length, because yes it is a short story but so powerful that you need a break to gather you thoughts and calm your heart down... It also can appear wrong to certain people because of Jonas's motives but the underlining and unexpected sweetness will appease your fears!!!! If you are a very conservative romance reader than this book is not for you... but if you are willing to take a step into the dark side you will love this book as much as i did!!!! I can't wait to read more and discovers what happens!!!! Two Thumbs Up High In The Air With Blazing Lighters On!!!!!!!

I LOVE forced seduction and Jonas is the perfect amount of dictating yet passionate, Linnea doesn't stand a chance!
Linnea is a strong, independent yet sheltered woman. She isn't above self sacrifice so the sake of her family....but what sweet sacrifice it really is.
Books 1 through 4 are currently released and I devoured all 4 in one sitting...which led to only 4 hours of sleep, but it was worth it! I HIGHLY recommend getting more than one to read because you won't be able to put it down. I am IMPATIENTLY waiting book 5 Ms. Farrady!

REALLY...I can hardly give this book 1*. This book contained 385 pages. About 300 pages contained the most unromantic & same sex page after page. Story..there was no story .. The main characters were about as interesting as watching a fly land on your window.. Deana Farrady needs to read some real deep, intense writers like Jodi Ellen Malpas, Beth Kery, Lydia Michels, M. Robinson to mention just a few of hundreds of great writer. She needs to see how a book should pull you into a story & wanting more after you finish it. Fortunately I only spent .99 on this book, but that was .99 to much.

As their past comes to the forefront they both realize just how much they're meant to be together. So happy I was able to purchase book two right after I read book one!
