Always like to support local (CT) authors. This is a real page-turner. Could not put it down. I guess it's a sequel to his first book, but the author makes it so that you can read this one without having to read the previous one. I like that. Good job, Felix Giordano. Looking forward to the next book.
Somehow my review for #2 got mixed up with #1, both #2 and #3 were extremely good books! Loved this one a lot! Oddly, many years ago I knew a "Buck" Buchanan who had been a cop on the east coast, upon retiring he traveled across the US in a wagon pulled by a team of oxen! His oxen stayed on my grandparents ranch, too tender footed to go on to the CA coast, he used four horses of ours to finish. I can't tell you how much this Jim Buchanan reminds me of that man! Very good storyline!
I don't like to give bad reviews, but this is a bad book. There is a lot of violence, particularly involving women. The bad actors are a group of motorcycle riders that are truly evil. The main problem is that none of the characters were the least bit interesting. There is no historical significance and no descriptions of interesting scenery. The best thing to say about this one is that it is short. I did finish it, but it was not worth the time.
