What you give away in terms of passion or urge or the strong and never-ending feeling with enthusiasm to satisfy yourself in every possible manner is love.

This was such a happy book!

I can’t say that I did not enjoy this book. Because, this thin book has a lot to offer.

When two friends go on an expedven, nothing less than utter craziness can be expected. But this craziness was also about learning something in life.

There were such small and cute incidents which I enjoyed more than I can think. Even though they were not related to the story (many of them were just there, devoid of any purpose, or at least that’s what I felt), they certainly did keep me interested in the book.

The life lessons given in the book contain some interesting concepts. Even though most of them are known to us all, the author provided a gentle reminder of some basic things in life. This philosophical part towards the end of the book surely added to the weight of the book, but I felt the context here was lacking.  I felt like some theories were inserted out of the blue as many of them came in without any need of continuation.

This was, nevertheless, a read which I won’t regret. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a light read with traveling, romance, friendship and philosophy thrown into the mix.

Two college friends are gearing up for their first outstation trip together, but the adventure starts much before the journey. One of them seems to be getting it all- he meets his ex in an auto, makes out on a train, becomes the love interest of another guy on a rope-way, and ends up in the arms of a stranger - while the other is left wondering why. They lie to their parents, make friends on the way, get stuck in a haunted building, meet beautiful girls and spend their evenings listening to breathtaking experiences of strangers. But when they finally breathe after a series of adventures, they aren't the same anymore.

The story begins with the protagonist Gaurav and his friend Mayank preparing for a trip to Mussoorie. On his way, he meets more than one of his ex girlfriends and all of them still have feelings for him. Gaurav either has feelings for them or tries to take advantage of their situation. During their train journey, a married woman also hits on Gaurav and he responds positively. This trend, where all the women including married women, swoon over him, continues till the end of the book. The character of Gaurav seems to have absolutely no regard for women and at any given opportunity jumps to take advantage of them. The women are also portrayed as desperate and they all are captivated by the charm of Gaurav (even when we are hardly given an opportunity to feel the same) as if he was the only person left on the planet. The story clearly objectifies women and glorifies the 'macho man' Gaurav. There is lack of continuity at more than one instance. In the conversations, the author has written his dialogues under 'I: ' which is more suitable for a drama rather than a novel which I did not really enjoy. The character development of Gaurav and Mayank is inconsistent and they behave differently throughout the book. Towards the end, they meet three spiritual leaders who give them advice about love and life. These conversations go on for pages and is quite boring. The advice is long and repetitive and could have been cut short. It is mostly about values and morals. The value systems are over romanticized and overrated. After sometime, they deviate from the topic and it no longer makes sense. Gaurav claims to have be a changed person after this encounter but it is hardly reflected in his actions. I was expecting a good travel and adventure novel but I was completely disappointed.

Sinful Crossroads is a light heart read penned by Gaurav Tanwar who also happens to be the main character in the story. I like the cover. It gives a very breezy and fresh feel just like the story.

The story begins when a group of six friends , all from well off families studying Mechanical Engineering decide to start something from their passion. Gaurav is a writer and his friend Deepak is a photographer. The group fiddles with ideas to shape a future.

Gaurav and Mayank plan to go to Mussoorie for a short trip. Gaurav decided to spend the night at Mayank’s place. He bumps into his ex girlfriend and has a short encounter with her post which he goes to Mayank’s place. They leave in the morning to another mis-happening when the cab takes them to another railway station.

Their journey is filled with weird encounters surrounding Gaurav before finally reaching to their destination, Mussoorie. Their trip is filled with meeting new people , random encounters and some deep philosophical messages surrounding life.

The writing is lucid and not much you need to think about while reading. The story goes in a flow without any gasping moments. I loved a few lines from the book that i’m quoting below –

Hearing the music of dancing leaves ,
Can cheer up any heart , without anything to grieve,
It is the moment where I can find me ,
Connecting with nature through the heart , and see…

The book is a perfect travel read and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Recommended.

Firstly, I loved Cover and title of the book. It's too attractive and captures attention to read this beauty. The story focus on Gaurav (the author) where they go on a trip to Mussoorie and meet many new people. Gaining experience, listening to stories, experiences of people they met baba Narendra who shared his story. They further got knowledge about peace, wisdom, love, divine power and much more.
The plot of the story is interesting however the philosophical part adds the charm. there are certain events which were added which were not necessary. The Pace of story is good at first but it's getting slow as the story proceed further. The tempo of the book is quite good. The characters were given their importance but there was something missing in the story. The story is all about finding the true meaning of Life, Being what you are. It's all about friendship, love, Romance, wisdom, and Travelling. Yes, If you love traveling, exploring and if you're a great listener, you'll love this book.

Makes Chetan Bhagat look like Tolstoy. It’s bad. The author should just stick with mechanical engineering

What if I say I purchased 2more copies and gifted it to my friends? Will it be a perfect review?
I totally loved this book. I wish if I was travelling somewhere while reading this book, it would have been a memorable trip as well. Author has very well considered all the facts which are needed in a travel/love based book. A page turner book. A relatable story but still unheard until Author Gaurav penned it. What does friendship mean? Is any relationship more than a friendship? How can you find answers to such questions? Read this beautiful book by Gaurav Tanvar and understand the real meaning of life, way to real happiness and the way you love a life perfectly. Understand various lessons on emotions by this book.
