The next title in this new series based on the WB's sizzling hit show, "Dawson's Creek", and that chronicles Dawson's coming of age journey and his lifelong relationship with Joey, girl from a vastly different home life.
A cute Dawson's Creek story, and the characters were tv-like. However it is dated - body shaming, misogyny and a student-teacher liason... Didn't age well!
The book before this one is better. Ultimately it's a book based on Dawson's creek so expectations are low. It can be hard to stomach the two girls pining over dorky Dawson but that was the premise of the show! In this book Abby makes minor appearances and is a complete asshat.
This show did normalise some *more than questionable* behaviour, à la Tamara. It's a reflection of the era though.
Read it, it's short and sweet. You know you want to.
