A former psychologist, Normandie has always been fascinated by human behavior. She loves writing quirky characters that are all too human. “I’m interested in the kind of relationships people have in real life. So I write about my characters’ messy, unpredictable, and inexplicable journeys to love.”

If there were another 5 hours in the day, Normandie would spend more time needle-pointing and playing with photography. Instead, she’s a Pinterest addict and sports junkie who’s crazy for Twitter and the color pink. She lives with a passel of children, her hunky husband, and a pet pig who loves Red Bull.

The writing and story left a lot to be desired:

“For years Allison had prayed for indifference towards Cole. She had hated him for years. What she felt for Cole was either unmitigated passion or hate. She didn’t know any in between. And what she had wound up craving was indifference. The last time she’d seen him, four years ago, what she had prayed for, what she had begged God for, was to feel indifference towards him.”

How many times can you use indifference in a paragraph and it not be terrible? The answer is one.

And this:

“Then out of nowhere he appeared out of nowhere and pulled her away from the party.”

There were so many typos as well. I know this is a very inexpensive novella and you get what you pay for but perhaps wait a few more days before publishing and edit one more time to make sure you at least correct the grammar, if not the actual syntax of the writing. I’m not even going to get into that because again, you get what you pay for.

ONE GREAT READ!!!
Oh man, talk about a quickly. This is one exciting, fast paced, heart pounding, pulse racing, smooth flowing, page turning tale that grabs your attention from the start. All the drama, fear, uncertainty and suspense increases steadily as the tension spirals while the plot thickens. Twists and turns, ups and downs, along with a few unexpected surprises around every corner make for one enjoyable experience. The characters and scenes are written with such realism it really pulls this bad boy together beautifully. Normandie did an excellent job bringing this read to life. Fantastic job Normandie, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.

Well written characters were real. Liked it very much. Four stars. Allison is on her way to Venice to be Maid of Honor at her friend's wedding. Best man, Cole. He and Allison were together four years ago. He left and she was heartbroken. She is dreading seeing him again and with good reason. Once in Venice, she meets Nico, a very handsome Italian. He shows her the sights of Venice. There is instant attraction. Both men want her for their own. Whom will she choose? If you like romance with some steam, then this book is for you.

This was a very short, quick read. While it had plenty of steamy scenes, both Cole and Allison really frustrated me. He treated her horribly, and she just kept going along with everything he wanted. Nico was by far the best character. He was charming, sexy, and a gentleman! I honestly think that this could have been a great story if there was more development, particularly between Cole and Allison with their past.

Very fast read. The story idea was fun but somehow the characters and storyline do not have time to fully develop in this short story.

I have to say I'm a little disappointed with this book. I'm a huge fan of Alleman's books, but I absolutely hated Cole's character. It seemed like he tried to become developed character, and then at the very last second just gave up. He had no respect for Allison, and I can't understand why in the world she ever got with him, their relationship made no sense whatsoever! The book summary is really misleading and makes it seem like it's a happy threesome story, but it's really not and I was really siappoi ted with that. Why Coke was included in the summary like that, I don't know as he seemed like he should just be a secondary character instead of a main. For me this was a big hit and miss by Ms. Alleman but I have high hopes for the books she writes next.
