Decent short shifter story. Heroine desperate for money to help her sick sister. Finds herself in an auction for shifters. The hero sees her there (he was there on business) and has to have her. I prefer my shifters to only be with their mates but stories like that are as rare as unicorns. I thought the writing jumped around from perspectives. Then there were time jumps.

-no cheating
-no OW/OM drama whatsoever
-no pushing away
-there is one scene of violence (not of a sexual nature)
-neither a virgins
-short epilogue that was one year out

This story is about decent shifter. And the way the story proceeds is very smooth.

This story has wolf shifter and a very successful billionaire Nathan chase.
Kerry Scott need money to save hwr. sister and was ready to do anything so she put her self up for an auction .

This story did not nees a lot of buttering to make it good its an excellent story with a loyal book boyfriend and a husband.
Nathan has a protective nature which makes the story much more interesting and memorable. The epilogue is not like the others books but makes you want to read more and more of the same book.

Sweet little read

Short, too short, for such a good story. Nathan of course is to die for. Rich, smart, compassionate and hot as well. The heroine has some truly weak moments but she has some strengths too. The ending is worth all the little irritants along the way.

Kerry's sister had cancer. She needed a lot of money for her treatment which was why when Simone, her friend told her about the auction in an exclusive shifters club, she grabbed the opportunity without even giving it much of a thought. On the other hand, Nathan went to the same club for business. What he did not expect was finding his mate which he did. Kerry was his mate. And he would die before he let anyone else bought her on that auction. Kerry was attracted to that sexy wolf as soon as she laid her eyes on him. Anyway, Nathan gave her the best night of her life. But before she knew it, it was over. Or so she thought. He was adamant making her his. There were some incident with Simone's ex-husband, but Nathan took care of it. Kerry ended up giving birth to their daughter who saved her sister's life. The end.

At first, it was going okay. But then this book turned out something different than I expected. Not in a good way. Whatever!🙄 It was totally safe. Neither Nathan nor Kerry were virgins. I really hated that the author didn't mention the time lapses. I mean one moment Nathan was saving Kerry and Simone's ass and then in the next chapter she's giving birth. No idea how much time had passed. Sigh! Besides the connections between each characters seemed forced. Also, the name of this book did not even make any sense as she only got pregnant at the end and gave birth pretty soon without any fuss. This book should've been named 'The Werewolf's Sister-in-law' or something like that instead. 😕I did not enjoy this book as much as I thought I would.

It wasn't terrible. It was just ... a bit juvenile, in the narrative / voice (the h/h both had the inner voice of a 15 year old... and despite being a short that spans a year of time, it was super repetitive). And there were lots of simple spelling/grammar mistakes.

I am cleaning out my shifter freebies this weekend so there are several of similar reviews. The Werewolf’s Baby is part of the Hearts of Fire romance series. You can also find it free in Kindle unlimited. The book is only 108 pages, so it’s a super short read.

Kerry puts herself in a shifter auction to earn money to pay for her sister’s cancer treatments.
Nathan Chase is a billionaire shifter that is visiting “The Ring” on business. The auction basically sells young prostitutes called Gems for the night. They are not harmed but are expected to have shifter sex all night long. Kerry (Amber) is inexperienced and smells of fear making her a popular choice. Nathan feels an instant protectiveness if her and outbids the others.

As I said above, I’m trying to clean up my kindle, and am focusing on binging these short shifter freebies this weekend. I’ve read like 4 so far, and what I like about this one is that the story gets moving without a ton of pushback from the h. When you only have 100 pages, it makes it pretty boring when the first 50 are the heroine confused and pushes against the pull of her mate. The book’s dialogue was very ya, sone of the conversations were immature...the outburst at the Dr...and the sister seemed more like 14 than 18, but there was also lots of sex.. so not all ya.

-no cheating
-no other woman or man issues
-spans a year
-has an epilogue, technically just the last chapter but it FF a year in the future

Nathan Chase is at The Ring, a club where specially picked men and women are auctioned for a night, to make sure his new staff is doing his job as a bodyguard. What he doesn't expect is to see the beautiful women who he suspects is his mate.

Kerry Scott will do anything to save her sister from cancer. Willing to sacrifice herself to get the money for a new treatment she swallows her pride and puts herself out there. Kerry doesn't expect Nathan nor the fact that he is playing for keeps.

There was a bit of fragmented time frame towards the end of the book but overall entertaining. I liked the idea of this one and had an unusual twist when it came to the baby.

Woooooooow

This book was short, had a lot of stuff in it and seemed to jump from one thing to another w/o a bridge. It went from her being his mate to her getting missed her sister was getting sucked to Simon's crazy ex cutting on her to him having a six sense and following the trail of the mate home to being in the hospital again because she went into early labor and the stem cells will save the Tia's life. Just too much in too short of a book to have a good flow hopefully the others in This series isn't like this one because I really like your previous work before this book.😕

A beautifully woven story

I loved it. All of it. The story had a nice flow, it was very easy to read and get caught up in. The characters were relateable and realistic. The problems they faced were heart wrenching, painful, and made their fictional lives feel real, like i actually know these people. The addition of the psycho brought the emotionalism even higher. I had a problem with abrupt scene transitions and the endind felt rushed but the overall story was really well done so it made up for those things. It's definitely worth your time to read.

It had a lot of potential but this author unfortunately is not very consistent in her stories. I really enjoyed her Mate series way back when. Her newer ones from the last 2-3 years its insta-love, mates, or it takes a bit for the couple to come together. I dislike the yo-yo affect. This was just ok for me. Nothing too special about it and I agree with another reviewer who mentioned time jumps. I liked both of the characters but thats kind of as far as it goes for me. The story isn't well thought out.

Different take

This is a different take on the werewolf mating scenario, but it is an interesting one. Kerry was attempting to earn money to save her sister Tia and ended up being bought for the night by Nathan, a wolf shifter who recognised her as his mate.
I won't divulge what happens as it's a short read, and I wouldn't want to give away any spoilers. But if you want a short sharp delve into the wolf shifter world, this is for you

Great short read

Amazing feel good read. Nice balance of character and story for a short novel. Blurb is a good jump off point for story. Clear world building without a lot of setup. When looking for a palate cleanser between longer series I will definitely look for more from this author.

I loved this book. Kerry is at a loss on how she is going to help her ailing sister. Then comes the Ring. What follows is just awesome, gut wrenching and sweet all wrapped in one. It is all the emotions rolled into one. Well written and a new favorite!

3 1/2 Stars ⭐⭐⭐

For me I needed a little more details, it started out good but about half way through the story I felt the main character's reactions to the adversity that she met were over the top and unreasonable.

I rarely read auctioned-heroine kinda book, but i gave this 1 a fighting chance. It was okay. The plot was decent though not much twist and turn (just 1 unexpected plot from the friend side). A good read for a soft romance. The sexy scene was not so much; just average.

I 💘 shifters

I 💘this story. The characters are strong , the love of a family there's nothing like it. If you want to read a good shifter book this is the one for you. Plus this is my first book by the Arthur but definitely not the last.

The ML is a darling, and the FL is a very good example of a family woman with her own mind. A bit short as I felt like there could have been more to it (a bit rushed in the ending), but the characters were all amusing and sweet in their own ways and the story was well written.

Short and Hot

This was a well written short story. I didn't feel like I was being jipped on a short story. There was no rushing or missing parts. This was very sexy and hot.

The Werewolf's Baby

I suspected that Simone was scared of someone, I didn't think it would be her husband tho. I loved how Nathan just claimed Kerry as his own from the start.

Three stars!

I liked this story, how Nathan and Kerry met was interesting. However, I feel that the story and characters could have had a lot more depth than what they had.
