Divorced and pregnant, Grace Hudson doesn't think her life can get any more complicated. When a serial killer sets his sights on her her life becomes more than just complicated. It becomes a nightmare. To be safe . . . to feel safe she must rely on bodyguard Matt Bolton. Hired by Grace's uncle to protect her, Matt has seen his share of horror and violence, but nothing could prepare him for what he's about to go through. Can he keep Grace out of the clutches of a madman? Better yet can he keep from falling in love with her in the process?
Crystal Wisdom was born in a small town in Illinois and moved to Oklahoma at the age of two. She grew up with a passion for reading. It wasn't until she took a creative writing course in high school that she found her love of writing. When she's not reading or writing she enjoys movies and music.
As you can tell this is about Grace. She has a killer after her. Matt has been hired to protect her. But will the bodyguard be able to protect her when it seems like the killer has his sights on her. And she is pregnant. Could that be a reason? What is going on...who wants her dead?
Chrystal Wisdom develops amazingly gripping stories! With just one sentence she opens a door into the world of Grace. A world full of horror which immediately enthralls.
Similar to Kristen Ashley's "For You" - Grace is hunted by a serial killer. The killer develops an obsession with her after she is rescued from the jaws of death.
To protect the pregnant Grace, Matt - an experienced bodyguard and former police officer - is hired. Soon he feels drawn to Grace and begins to struggle for a professional distance. A distance which can decide about life and death in this dangerous situation...
Unfortunately, the book has still a few weaknesses, which could be easily fixed by a good editor. For example: The scene at the police station is rather unbelievable for Crime series fans. Additionaly, I found the repetitive phrases a little bit tiresome when one character informed another about something previously described.
The idea is good, the realisation has still room for improvment, therefore 3.5 stars!
