I'm trying to get thru this series. Some are hits..Some are misses. For me this one was a miss. Diana truly got on the last nerve and quickly. All of her inner conflict, denials and endless tears...I couldn't care less about the "abandonment issues" she had. And then the other key players...Jeffrey with his dumb moves and foot in mouth syndrome, Michael..stupid and if I were April I would have dumped his behind for good. Abigail..stupid and sleazy. Oh God..just STUPID!😡 Yes you get your HEA but wading thru the river of asinine behavior to get there is exhausting.
I really, really, really tried to like this book (and the “bonus” book at the end) but man, it was just impossible for me to overlook all the bad. First, it took me WAAAAAAY too long to read the main book (the bonus book, too). This should have taken me maybe a day if not less, but the bad writing kept running me off. Normally, I give a book no more than five chapters before I just give up on it. However, this is the second time I’ve come across a BWWM Club book that SOUNDED good in the blurb but disappointed me when actually reading. So, I made myself read through until the end. Do the authors for the BWWM Club have editors or even proofreaders??? The overuse of the word “had” nearly drove me insane. Then there were times where the author TRIED to make the lead FMC or her mom or her brother SOUND black but went way overboard, and in some cases uncomfortably so as the writing for the character tried to explain their stance on non-POC (cringeworthy for me). Then I saw one word the author wrote that kind of put things in perspective, or at least somewhat explained why the “voice” of the characters were just wrong. That word was “spoilt” and that made me realize that the author is not Black American. She’s either a non-Black woman period, OR she’s a Black British woman or a Black woman from a British speaking area. Because there’s no way an actual Black American woman wrote this book (though the second bonus book I could believe a Black American wrote it, but editing and proofreading was still severely deficient). Whomever is giving this author and others in this BWWM Club high stars should stop gassing them up and help them be better writers by telling them the truth! This was painful for me and I cannot justify reading another book by this author or the bonus book author, and it may be a very long time before I read another author from the BWWM Club due to the PTSD I now suffer from, and I’m not kidding. I’d be happy to offer my proofreading services (for a fee, of course) to these authors, but I’m going to need a month or so of reading some other books first to clear my head of what I’ve just read.
Love the story. Jeffrey and Diana a plus size mode and a billionaire playboy. Jeffrey falls for Diana but she refuses to love him back. She only wants to define their relationship as sexual. He wants more. Her reason for denying the relationship was unbelievable but I guess the author chose not to address it as something realistic. Also the story is interwoven with her brothers interracial relationship where he at least tries to in a convoluted way to address the race issue but it is lost because instead of addressing it he just has sex with the woman. His entire story was about sex which was a distraction.
I have never been a romance novel fan until I read Fifty Shades Of Grey. Then I discovered Carri Cox, Ellie Danes, and Raven Rivers. Character development is everything and having a tight storyline that flows, that keeps you reading until you have to allow yourself to put the book down. This book although was an okay read, IT didn't give me my usual thrill of reading it
Overall, this was a very enjoyable book. The main characters (Diane and Jeffry) are sweet and likable. I loved how the story branches off with separate relationships/scenarios associated with this couple. This story touched on race and low self-esteem which can be common issues with interracial couples. I found Diana's character too stubborn yet understandably cautious. It a delightful story that's worth the read.
I just enjoyed reading about Jeffry and Diana story what a rocky ride that was but I'm happy I was able to go a long with them! And I like how the characters from the two previous stories were included and are very helpful especially Leesa just love her she cracks me up! Now gonna see what happen s in the next book.
It was a nice story but there seemed to be scattered thoughts going on in the authors head. Several other couples mentioned but did not seem relevant to this story even though they involved individuals related to the H & H. If both had been left out it would not have impacted the story.
When I first started reading this book it was kind of slow paced so I stopped reading it starting with other stories in the series and other books. But I finally camed back to it and I loved it even though it was sort of confusing trying to figure out what some of the words that were throughout the book.
Wow I enjoy binge reading Katie Dowe the series is absolutely captivating with sizzling relationships that are charming and believable each couple is so realistic plus they are so different but enjoyable. I enjoyed that the other couples are involved sometimes a little sometimes a lot but either way they are wonderful and entertaining.
Jeffrey never felt love before and it was Diana who brought it out of him. Diana fought it for the longest time. Jeffrey was determined to make her realize the love was real. With the help of some friends, the two of them were able to get over their issues. True love prevails....
Good book but damn Leesa was driving me crazy with her constant use of darling. Maybe i just had an annoying sound in my head while imaging how she had sound but my...All in all good book I was happy Jeffry didn't give up on the woman he wanted
I have to admit that I'm getting really hooked on the Members From Money series. I like the idea of the past character showing up in these books. Jeffrey wasn't looking to fall in love like all his friends around him, but life happens and in walks plus size model Diana.
This was an awesome love story!! After reading the other two books, I want sure what to expect. Each story is so unique and grabs at your heart in so many different ways!! I was not expecting this story to end the way that it did!!! You'll definitely fall in love with Jeffrey and Diana
I absolutely love this one. I loved how they brought the other ladies into this story and how the other couples are doing. I like how even those she was a model she was afraid to love Jeffry. How he had a hard time with his feelings.

One of my favorite thus far. For character development personality and just overall amazing love story. I mean the storyline will draw you in just waiting for Diana to wake up a smell the roses.
Jeffrey,,: BWWM Romance (Members From Money Book 3)
Another amazing book.IT show's that no matter where you came from and the color of your skim, true love can concour anything. Diana and Jeffrey proved that.
What a beautifully written fantasy interracial love story; however this would never have happened in real life, three best friends all marry black women!
Diana and Jeffry were great characters to read about. I’m glad they stopped fighting their love for each other and gave their relationship a go. Great book!
This book was ok but not what I have come to expect from this series that I love so much the book was a little slow and the heroine really annoyed me -she embraced a lot of stereotypes as a way to protect herself but in a lot of ways she judged and condemned Jeffry before really giving him a chance and she was not truthful about her emotions. It was interesting watching the man chase the woman who is reluctant to commit when it is usually the other way around.
Jeffry. I liked this book. It was a sweet romance book. Jeffry had to pursue the woman that he loved because Diana was trying to find all kind of ways to dismiss his love. Jeffry wanted what his friends had but didn't know how to get it. He asked his friends for help and found out he had to make a stand on his own and don't take no for an answer especially when he knew Diana loved him too. Good read. *** I voluntarily read a Review Copy of this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else’s. ***
