The Stalwart Security Series (Series 2) is the follow up to the hugely popular Alpha Company Women Series, and follows the romantic trials and tribulations of a group of former British and American servicemen, as they start their new lives beyond the military.

All of the books in the two series are full length novels, and for maximum enjoyment it is recommended that the books are read in order.

‘Invisible’, Book One of The Alpha Company Women Series is currently available free on Amazon (.com/.co.uk/ .ca/.au)

Retribution

Abbey has finally escaped the clutches of the sex traffickers who drugged and kidnapped her more than three years before. She knows she was one of the lucky ones, as she was ‘owned’ by one of the ring-leaders, but also knows there are hundreds more women still in captivity, forced to perform as sex-workers in brothels up and down the country, or sold to wealthy individuals for their ‘home collections’.

Crucially, though, she’s escaped with something the traffickers have no idea about. Knowledge!

And she’s determined to use that knowledge, and do everything she can to help the police rescue the other women and girls, and steal from the traffickers the one thing they value above all else. Their money!

Jordan Kenny is in London with his mom and twin brother Sam, when he’s asked to help Alpha Company look after an unusual client.

Rather than a VIP or a rich and famous celebrity, the woman he’s assigned to look after is about as low down on the scale as it’s possible to be, when it comes to fame or money. But to Chief Superintendent David Roan and the Metropolitan police, she’s worth her weight in gold, and the most valuable asset they’ve ever had to protect.

One glimpse of those stunning blue eyes of Abbey’s, and he’s intrigued. One minute in her company and he’s beguiled. And one look at the cutest two-year-old kid he’s ever seen, and his heart is lost, to them both!

Can Jordan and the Alpha Company family keep them safe from one of the most ruthless and loathsome villains in London?

And after having had no control over her life for more than three years, will Abbey be prepared to give up the tiny bit she’s regained since her escape, long enough to trust Jordan with her heart?

3.5 romantic thriller

**Potential plot spoiler**
Yet again the author uses kidnap, rape and torture as a plot device and this time there is sexual slavery thrown in too, as well as a throwaway few sentences relating to the kidnap of a child by a paedophile ring.
I found the whole concept (both of them) distasteful and disappointing given the authors talent, some variation of the above is in every book.
I also don't recall any potential trigger warnings in the blurb.
The characterisation is excellent, I didn't expect to like Jordan but the character grew on me.
Abby was the weaker character but even so, was very well crafted.
Of course, Baxter is delightful.
The plotline is dark, felt forced in places and in others seemed to de-rail for a few paragraphs.
On the whole it is engaging apart from recounting details of the abuse, which simply felt salacious.
If you are a fan of the genre I have no problem recommending the series

My new favorite thing.

I really like that this author plays in sex scenes when it's needed not just because she can. The relate feels more natural and over time they grow to what we all expect. Abbey and Jordan are so beautiful as a couple. They look even better as a family with Baxter. Abbey is a survivor who escaped a human trafficking ring. She is now stronger than she was prior to being kidnapped 3years prior. She suffered at the hand of a ruthless drug lord and his brother but she managed to maintain some of her caring self. Jordan is the most confident and assertive of the twins. However, meeting Abbey was just what he needed to help balance his personality. He can't keep her out of his head and is very protective of her and Baxter.

Great!

I chose this rating because this was a really good book. I really enjoyed most of the characters. This was a book of loyalty, love, compassion, and defending yourself. I really love this story all Abbey and Jordan how they made it it was really unfortunate. I think the author did an amazing job on this story or this book pretty much the whole series. I think she did a phenomenal job well written, the characters all lined up together. Great read! I recommend this book to all romance readers.

Swoon

This was such a cute story (minus the heinous acts of violence). It gelled and was just the right amount of team and coupling. FYI black people don’t “blush” it’s not something you can see anyway (unless your of the lighter variety).

Truly enjoyable

A very good book dealing with abuse. It also shows that there decent men in the world who can and will help victims find happiness and love.

Retribution

Good story a . Little gruesome, lots of torture for me, but a good plot. Good ending and much needed results.
