Just when you think it couldn't get any more screwed up another player enters the game! It was clear from the earlier serials that there was somebody else pulling strings behind the scenes. Finally, this mysterious third player, "Number 3", matriculates.
There is a shift in the mood that accompanies Number 3. Ella had just started getting used to the idea of her new arrangement with Tobias and Preston. Having a new, unknown player enter the game changes everything. The small amount of trust that had developed between her and the guys is put to the ultimate test.
While part of me wants to believe that Tobias wouldn't let Ella get hurt, a part of me realizes that there is absolutely no reason to trust him. After all, he's orchestrated some pretty messed up head games. Furthermore, it doesn't seem that Tobias and Preston really trust Number 3 either. If they can't trust him, then there is no way that Ella should.
Like earlier installments, Ella is faced with tests that push her limits and make her question the fabric of her very character. These tests keep getting more warped as the story progresses. What is right and what is wrong becomes increasingly unclear. There often is not a "right" choice, just a decision between the lesser of two evils.
Just as I start to lose faith in Tobias and Preston, Tobias does something that surprises me. I'm not sure what the hold is that Number 3 has over these two, but clearly he wields a lot of power. It seems that Ella may not be the only victim of this sordid game.
This series continues to build up to what is bound to be a huge twist. My suspicions are starting to grow as to the identity of Number 3, but time will tell. It's on to the next one for me. I won't stop until I've finished this entire series!

Day 4 out of 7
Gosh…that was quick and dirty.
“Ella, why didn’t you jump?”
“Because you had us?” Preston asks.
“Because you had salvation? Tobias says.
“I didn’t want to die,” I say on a hoarse whisper.
“But where you ever really living, Ella?”
So, Ella has a glorious start of the day, but then everything rolls down the hill. Thinking of the welfare of a homeless guy is not the best way to show Tobias and Preston how much determined she is to win.
And suddenly Number three appears!
Who is the mastermind and who is just the pawn?
The only sure thing is that Ella has shown her loyalty and devotion.
“Number three will take good care of you.”
Have we met Number three before? I had my suspicions, but his British accent confused me.

"The two devils at my side are taunting me with the pretty flames of hell, and all I want is to burn with them."
I swear, each installment of this series gets better and better. Just like always, there are twists and turns that you just don't see coming. I've found myself emotionally all over the place, just like Ella.
As with each day, Ella is challenged with a new game that pushes her boundaries. Sometimes its about morals and ethics. Sometimes it about personal comfort. Day four in Four Strikes is no different. Ella is asked to do something that she is clearly uncomfortable with but the master minds that are known as Tobias and Preston have really worked her mind over and she's confused. They've stripped her down and in a way it seems like they are trying to make her the perfect girl for them but in other ways it seems like they are trying to show her who she can be. Who she really is. Maybe it's both. Either way, I'm all over the place with them, just as Ella is.
And let me tell you this. If you thought the end of the third installment was hot. Wait until you get your hands on pretty much this entire thing. HOLY. SHIT. Thankfully I wasn't out in public when I read this. I've had some uncomfortable plane rides in my days due to some hot scenes but this one would have pushed me over the edge.
I can't wait to see where this goes. Everything is so fucked up and amazing. Well done, Ladies! You keep setting the bar higher and higher with each release! I can't wait to lock myself up and when I get my hands on Five Rules!

Ella was down on her luck. No job and a cheating boyfriend, so what's a girl to do? Sign a one week contract to play a game with two men, duh!
What are Stevie J. Cole and LP Lovell doing to me??? I mean the hotness level is through the roof. goodbye panties it was nice knowing you, Tobias and Preston are yummy and especially together! BUT besides that what do these two men have up their sleeves? Each game is giving me anxiety and I can't wait for the next one.
The ending to this book though has me freaking out the most out of all the books so far. WTF is going to happen????
PS I'm going to have to clean this review up for amazon.

Further and Further Down The Rabbit Hole...
And I'm Loving It!!!
These books are getting better and better, and I forcibly made myself read this instalment slower than the last to savour it, but couldn't do it! My excitement coupled with a chronic case of thigh-clenching syndrome (hubba-hubba!!) had me inhaling every word.
What I did do instead was read it twice.
Tobias & Preston are simply bloody delicious & there is just something about these two that has my tongue lolling outta my head like a cartoon character.
And as for Three... HELLO!!
I'm now thinking that before book 5 arrives, it's only right to reread all four previous novella's... am I right?
And I'm Loving It!!!

Wow! Intense. Another gripping episode, day 4 and we finally meet the third player who still remains anonymous and mysterious. Loving this series, it's dark,gripping filled with suspense and unanswered questions & I can’t wait for the next book which will be day 5 then two more days to go.
Each day contains a new challenge and a test for Ella but to what end? what is the end game?
Ella:
As the days go by, I'm losing my grasp on reality, on the fact that this is a game. It's all just a sick game.
Preston steps back to stand beside Tobias. Two men, powerful and certain, animals- Predators, and I am their prey.
Hoping Ella gets some backbone and the tables turn, I'm loving the plot but secretly routing for Ella to stand her ground from being a sacrificial lamb.
Stevie J Cole & LP Lovell are a brilliant author combination. Eagerly looking forward to the next book.

OMG, can this series be any more messed up?
On this 4th day of the game, the situation intensifies, with men which cruelty reaches new level. Is there a boundary to their mind games?
Ella follows the rules and plays her part of the game, but is there really a way to win, a right answer or the right things to do?
Tobias and Preston support and then humiliate her, playing with her body and her soul like the masters of the game they are. Everything is orchestrated. The scenario is in progress, the coldness of the feelings or rather absence of feelings leaving me with a bittersweet aftertaste.
I didn't like where the story left and the end although there is some hope that things are moving. Power is the key, but to what? What is the endgame? The bigger picture is slowly taking shape, I can't wait for more!

This series has EXPLODED! I can't even! Four Strikes is the fourth in The Game Series and the most provocative. It's time for another test but first there's a reward.
The story continues with poor little Ella receiving a reward for her last successful test. What a reward she receives! Tobias and Preston heat up the pages, setting them on fire with their reward. The next test gives Ella some difficulty. In the end, Ella is introduced to three and Tobias is struggling with the game.
There are so many questions. Who is three and what is the true final outcome of the game? Can LP Lovell and Stevie J. Cole please give Ella more rewards!! This story is so twisted! 5 Stars

These shorts are giving me serious whiplash. I love them and seriously count down the days until I get the next one. You must read them from the start. Four days in the game so far and each day gets more twisted. Each day brings a new game and challenge. I'm still at a loss to what is really going on and of course by the end all of my theories are proved to be wrong. No spoilers from me. If you like dark and twisted things as much as I do these books are most definitely for you.

Bloody Hell!!!! One more book from The Game series and i simply can't believe that these two authors have done it again! Gah! It's a good thing that i have some self control, otherwise i would probably throw my kindle against the wall knowing that i'll have to wait another two weeks for the next instalment. This time we finally get to know more about Number 3. The elusive man that seems to hold the reigns over Preston and Tobias. Four Strikes was different from all the other novels, there seemed to be more accent on Ella's submission rather than her ability to follow whatever it is that Tobias and Preston command from her. Can she really do it all? Even submit fully to Number 3 even though her fear stops her from reacting as she does with the other men of her life.

So what's next for this trio? I'm really not sure, especially after those numerous twists that LP Lovell and Stevie J Cole keep throwing at us. Their future is so up in the air that trust me, i will be absolutely watching for the next part to find out exactly what's going to happen to Number 3, Ella, Tobias and Preston... i swear my patience is being tested like there's no tomorrow.

Again... WOW! I'm just loving this series! I keep waiting for the bad one. Cause let's face it there usually is one but nope! Nopers no bad one!! I'm just loving it!
Book four! Half way through. Poor Ella is slowly losing her mind, her morals and her panties. Lots!
The games keep coming. Unfortunately for Ella she has no idea how to play them or how to win. She's slowly unraveling not knowing how to act or who to trust. Can she trust anyone?
Player 3 enters* <--- said in my best video game voice* and i don't like him! No not at all he's spoiling the dynamics! Who the hell is he? What part does he play? What does he want? What the be-loving jeezus is the end game?? TELL ME PLEASE!! I can't figure nothing out. I have no idea what's going to happen or even who is gonna still be alive by the end!!! I'M LOVING IT!!!!
I don't think i have ever read a series like this before. So many questions, little hints dropped, games unfolding and i still have zero clues what's gonna happen at the end. Will it end? I have no idea but I'm gonna enjoy finding out!!
The playing times escalated to the big bang in this book. OHHH MYYYY MAN ON MAN!!! AT LAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The bit I've been waiting four books for finally arrived.... it was phenomenally HOT with a capital HAWT. I mean come on! Are the games lessons? If so what are they trying to accomplish? Are Tobias and Preston as bad as what I've made them to be in my mind? Or am we really seeing their true colours?
So much mystery, intrigue and confusion. I'm starting to think that Ella can't win this game no matter what she does. Even I feel like I'm taking one step forward but two steps back. Tobias and Preston definitely have the upper hand playing this game. I want to dislike them but I just can't. They intrigue me way too much for that to happen. Preston seems like the calmer, kinder man but there's something about Tobias that makes me weak at the knees. I can not figure that man out. I need inside his mind so badly.

This is the fourth book in the Game series by L.P. Lovell and Stevie J. Cole. This series is off to a great start although I wish I waited until all seven books were out before I started reading because I have absolutely no patience at all. I can't really say much about the book without giving the story away. Ella's life is falling apart one step at a time, first she loses her job, then her boyfriend breaks up with her, and the final straw is she's being evicted from her apartment. What would you do if suddenly everything you cherished was taken away ? What would you be willing to do for one million dollars ? Imagine just seven days and you could walk away with enough money to start your life over again anywhere you wanted. All of your problems would be solved but could you live with yourself knowing what you did to get that money ?

I have to say I absolutely loved the M/M scenes with Tobias and Preston but other than that this one was pretty boring and kind of lame. I hope Five Rules is better. Also I'm a little pissy that the books are supposed to come out every two weeks and this one actually took three weeks to come out. I mean what the fuck it was only 33 pages and it took an extra week to write.

FUCK. ME.
I have no words – none. (well I have a fuck tonne of F-Bombs if they count)
This pair of twisted but so gloriously talented writers have soooooo managed to push me over the edge with #4 in what can only be described as one seriously hot, sexually charged, tense, gripping & total mind fucks of a read.
Not only did I get Tobias & Preston at their very best - with Elle AND each other (hawt hawt fuckin hawt), but I saw a glimmer of longing, possessiveness & protectiveness that stole my breath. As the game took on another edge, the boys, who are masters at their game, pull on those puppet strings even harder, leaving Elle totally at their mercy. Bound to them, high on lust, dripping with desire & drowning in need.
But.. What the every loving fuck. Player 3 – OMFG. I can't even begin to fathom out the how’s, the why’s & the what happens next. I don’t know if I’m ready to see or feel the truth of what this game is fundamentally about or how it may possibly end.
What I do know is I’m slowly going to hell & loving every single step of it!

I can't believe Ella has only been with the guys for 4 days so much has happened but I'm still no nearer to understanding what the end game really is but that doesn't matter because I'm hooked on this series.
Tobias and Preston are the ultimate tag team of sin, I'm really not sure who I like the most, Preston gives off this chilled layer back vibe so a sane person woild go for him but Tobias hmm hmm hmm I know i wouldn't be able to resist him.
I've been intriqued, I've tried to guess what's going on in fact I have so many theories they could fill a page but until this one I've never really been scared for Ella. Is it possible to have read a book and gained information without gaining any knowledge?! With both Stevie J. Cole & L.P. Lovell as the authors, the answer is a resounding YES! I am more convinced with each new release in this series that they reign supreme in the land of extraordinary mindfucks. Rather than peeling back layer after layer to reveal the hidden, dark truth it's almost as if the truth is further away and always out of reach.
I've fallen further down the rabbit hole and I'm not sure I want to get out! I need more, I crave more Tobias & Preston who are opposites in many ways, complementing one another in so many ways.

Day four and what will it bring for Ella?
Another day another game and now another player, I have so many questions, but I'm intrigued to see what's going to happen, I'm still routing for Ella, but I'm struggling to see how she can possibly win now as the game gets tougher.
Tobias and Preston are still guarded behind secret and power and Ella, while they urge Ella not to give up, yet push her further into the game of what's in store for Ella on day five, the end is so near yet so far.
I can't wait for more twists and games.

.....And the plot just keeps on thickening with Four Strikes by LP Lovell and Stevie J. Cole. OMG the sex scene is off the charts HOT! I love a good M/M/F scene. It is a super hot and super quick read. I am also intrigued by the actual "games" themselves. We are finally kind of introduced to the 3rd player. They just need to hurry up and write the next one because we need to find out more about this 3rd player.

Ella, Preston, and Tobias have me hooked! I need Five Rules ASAP!! If you have started this dark and twisted series you need to! I can't wait to see what happens next!

Even if I liked more the first three books than this one, I was entertained and I’m still looking forward to finish this series. Especially now that number three appeared!

Ella Taylor has hit rock bottom. She is being evicted from her apartment, dumped by her boyfriend, Sawyer, and has just lost her job.
She receives a letter for a job interview with businessman Tobias Benton and she hopes her luck is about to change. Soon she finds herself signing a contract that will result in her receiving a million dollars is she can win the game. The problem is that the game isn't easy to win: one contract, two guys, three players, four strikes, five rules, six figures, seven days.
This was such an interesting book but definitely not for everyone. The book is definitely dark and it had Ella questioning her morals and trying to figure out what her role in the game was without questioning what she was doing and fully submitting before she lost the million dollars.
Each day Ella had a game and they all made her question how people got to where they and whether or not she was doing the right thing. The games definitely varied and I was shocked at the things that she had to do. I can say that I don't think there is any way that I would have been able to do what she did.
There were so many twists and turns and although the reveal wasn't too much a shock to me I was blown away by it still and I felt so bad for Ella. I was mad at the end with what happened with Preston and totally shocked at the epilogue as I can't believe that she could do that to someone.
The book looks at morals and society and what we will choose in certain instances. Does society rules overrule the need to survive? I could see the dilemmas that Ella was faced with and some she completely struggled with but parts seemed far fetched. It was definitely an intriguing read but not for everyone.- Rebecca
