"Retribution...Comes Around" by NyRee Ausler

My Thoughts....

As this story continues from the first novel...'Retribution: What Goes Around' to 'Retribution: Comes Around' as it is still dealing with quite a 'love triangle...Asaya, James and Rey. The author puts in her work as she delivers to the reader quite a group of characters who were somewhat rather complexed and definitely having you wondering is anyone in the story OK? Oh, yes I did see there was was one person....Asaya's mom. But would Asaya she be willing to listen to her? I found Asaya...well all I will say one quite one naive and gullible individual who even at the end I was left wondering did she really get it? This was a well written and thought out read that will keep you turning to pages to see what in the world would be coming next because this was definitely not one of those predicable stories. I will say that the ending caught my attention because it seems to me even more would come to Asaya as it seems someone else has her attention. Or maybe I should say he definitely had his attention on her....from a quote:

"He was a little smarter than she gave him credit for. He knew she wasn't into him, but didn't care. After all he had done for her, she was stuck with him whether she liked it or not. If she tried to play him again, he'd be sure she found herself in yet another life-threatening situation. This time, he wouldn't be there to save her. **** who says nice guys finish last."

I will say to truly understand this novel a little more, I would suggest the reader read the 'Retribution 1' first because it will definitely help you better understand of what is happening in 'Retribution 2.'

Thank you to the author for a gift of her novel for my giving my honest opinion of the read.

***I was sent this book in exchange for an honest review***
I enjoyed this book. It had plenty of drama and so many moments where I was sure I knew what was happening. I'm pretty good at seeing the bigger picture but there were some twists and turns that I didn't pick up on. This is a roller coaster of "hell naw" and "Maaaaaann" all rolled into one. The minute you think you have it pegged is the minute the game shifts. All I have to say, there is only one person who continued to be exactly who you thought there were and you won't know until the end. Like I've said before, keep your eyes open because this book rings true to so many lives I've known or lived.

Good book

This was a good book. I read part 1 and part 2 put the icing on the cake. I did not like that asaya was so naive, and gullible. I really dislike her for been stupid, in book 1 she started off been a push over, and then she finally stood up for herself and then book 2 she was back been a push over.

This book deserves more than 5 stars! Nyree is a beast with the pen especially when it comes to a person's craziness and drama. Part 2 had to be my favorite out of all 3 books because it had me hooked and I couldnt put it down. THE ENDING was very crazy smh. I really recommend this series; you will not be disappointed.

EveryOne gets Retribution

Amazing ending! Asaya was a true survivor. She beat the odds. This book reveals corruption, trust issues, and murder. What does love have to do with it? Asaya was faithful yet kept many secrets. It could've cost her her life.

Left with lots of questions

Girlfriend is dumb as rocks. This was book two of three. I had hoped that the main character would have gotten at least a little bit smarter but her naivety left me disliking her.

Spoiler Alert

I enjoyed the second book! I actually thought Rey was going to die in this one but he didn’t. One of the things I didn’t like about the story was that it seemed like Asaya was too quick to forget about all the things Rey did! It was like she got amnesia about certain things. Also, it was weird how after J died it seemed like she hated him or something. Like when he was alive she all “stand by my man” but then when he died it was like, “he hurt me so I’m justified.” It was really weird. I bet he tried to kill her but I mean Rey damn sure didn’t help either! Lol. All in all good book and I’m going to buy the new one and read it as well! Thank you!

RETRIBUTION in Deed

I chose this book like I did some of my other favorites and it too didn't let me down. What an awesome read from the beginning to this end. I think I will have to rest a day to let my heart slow down before I attempt to start on the last one. I would recommend that these books to all the so called players. Do until others can certainly be employed here. These characters are both selfish, gredy, convincing and down right evil. And some women's are just this gullible as these two also.

This is second book in series. Asaya is married and has an affair with husbands best friend. The two men are gangsters. A third man is a police officer. This book is about a woman who seems to have to have a man and any man will do. Is violent and immoral. Read it through, but not interested in reading any of these characters again. Thanx to Goodreads.

This character just keeps making poor choices and each time I’m hoping for a positive outcome along with her. Are we both naive? I just assume she is never going to wise up and somebody will pay a hefty price.

Do You!!

I was so tired of her going back and forth. She believes everything that comes out of peoples mouths instead of having a mind of her own. Hopefully the third installment, she will learn her lesson and be her own woman.

Less predictable than the first book.

This book really had me fooled and captivated. I definitely didn't think that it would turn out the way that it did, but now I definitely am looking forward to reading the final part to this story.
