In 1990 Robert J. Thomas was sworn in as the full time mayor for the city of Westland, Michigan. He served twelve years, making him the longest serving mayor in Westland's history.

While he was mayor he wrote his first book titled, How to Run for Local Office, which has now sold over 25,000 copies worldwide.

He has written and published on Kindle, the Jess Williams Westerns series. Retired, he now lives in Mississippi with his wfe Jill.

Great Read

Wow , there is not enough stars for this book. It has short stories from some of my favorite authors. This book is a great collection of stories by some awesome authors. Thank you all for a great read.

I wasn't sure how to write a review of these two books, but I am pleased to find the opportunity here. If you are not sure whether to try any of these fine authors, you will find excellent samples of their work here! I have chosen them all. That should tell you something.

The book had 5 different Stories, in which all were very good, the last story was called Storm Warrior, after reading it, I went to Amazon Kindle and bought Book 1 and 2. all 5 story were very good, they kept me interested all the way thru the book.

Nice way of getting a sample of different western writers. Personally, I love pretty much anything written by Tell Cotten. He can really tell a great story! Dennison had another good story about the McCabes, who I can't get enough of, and James Best's Steve Yancy is also good reading.

I enjoyed this collection of western short stories. Each was unique and revealed the story telling of each author. I was familiar with some of the authors so it gave me an opportunity to seek more of their books. The stories were easy to read and kept me entertained.

Good read

I enjoyed these short stories. I have followed the series written by most of these authors. I would highly recommend these series to all that a great story.
