Escape into a fantasy world full of magic and miracles. REVENGE. THAT’S ALL CHANDOR WANTS. Chandor has spent four years training with the Guardians, an elite order of holy knights, famed throughout the land for the miraculous powers granted to them by the Gods. With his novitiate complete, he starts hunting the monster that brutally murdered his family. But as he follows the trail of destruction from magnificent cities to ruined castles, past dragon lairs and through dwarven strongholds, he sees the devastating power of his enemy. He realises he would have to become a Dark Priest, practitioner of forbidden miracles, to succeed against his terrifying supernatural adversary. He was prepared to die for revenge. But the stakes are no longer just life and death; now his very soul is at risk. South African author, Dale Vice, brings you another action-packed heroic fantasy adventure that is thought provoking, uplifting and vastly entertaining. “Spellbinding from page one.” “Dale’s latest novel will leave your heart pounding, your mind reeling and your spirit soaring.”

An action packed fantasy adventure with a refreshing spiritual touch. From the beginning the style is punchy and emotive. The plot is fun and entertaining, not overly convoluted, and has a satisfying conclusion. This is clearly the story of one character's journey, however there is still a fairly large cast of supporting characters that help drive the plot forward. This book is unashamedly high fantasy. The exploration of the priest's character is a refreshing change from the cliched dogmatic unthinking inquisitor, which is the more common fantasy adaptation. There is lots of moral discussion and theological postulation. It will be interesting to see how these themes are further explored (if at all) in the rest of the series as new characters and cultures are introduced.

Please release the paininbinder pyramid books

This book is epic! I am in love with the characters and the dark and fruity world that they dwell within. Never have I doubted if a MC was losing his battle with sanity and all that is good, like the young Chandor. He struggles so much, yet overcomes it all to become what he wants to be and it become what others wish of him. Great story and I can't wait to read them all.

Good book but

It's well written and for most they will definitely enjoy it. For me personally though, the single minded devotion to gods and saints, the importance that's placed on it while it does make sense it throws me off. But something I kinda expected due to the title and description.

Creative, fascinating and well paced. I'm looking forward to reading lots more from Dale Vice.
3 years and Vice can’t come up with a story to follow up on Chandor? I can’t even express my disappointment. What a sack of crap! I’m pissed. Finally it’s 2020 but the 2nd installment “ Ork Fire” is a story about someone else?! No thank you. Oh, Hell NO!

While I admit I'm biased, being the author and all, I did truly love this book. The big advantage of being an author, is that you get to write exactly what you want to read. Needless to say, this was my favorite book ever.
I do hope you enjoy it too.
