Wow this series is awesome and it keeps dragging you in for more!
X has finally escaped from hell but only to be put in a new one until she tries to protect herself and is sent to Alpha.
Alpha originally sent X to Helen so she could get some 'motherly love' from her but when Helen dumps X off at his place it's clear that the woman didn’t care for X at all!
Alpha and X are two broken souls but somehow they come together.........

Another amazing tale. The characters are so real feeling I cried multi times for X's pain and suffering. A

don’t leave me…not again…never again. He made me feel safe. He made me feel protected. And he made me feel… he was the one worth dying for…he was the one worth fighting for. Dance little wolf…dance. HOLY DANCING WOLVES, ALPHA! WOW! WHOA! WOW!! JUST... WOW! OH FOR FAULKS SAKE! Talk about one helluva force to be reckoned with!! This is one ALPHANTASTIC book!! I need a moment to collect my thoughts.... Okay, it's been an entire 3 days and I STILL can't gather & sort out my thoughts & feelings about Alpha & X's story, to articulate it all out, because it honestly has made that much of an impact on me! There is so much I want to say, need to say, but I don't want to say too much & spoil it for you! Let me start with X marks the spot!! The spot she & Alpha carved into my heart, that is!! This one is a little different from the books before it, but that same intensity, nail-biting, hang-on-to-the-edge-of-your-seat/tablet/book, suck you right in, chew you up, spit you out and leave you on your knees begging for more while profusely thanking Kim for the pleasure of it all! And it IS a pleasure! With her darkly beautiful storytelling the story explodes to life, you become the characters while they become you, drawing you in so deep you have no idea where they begin & you end! This truly is one ABSO-FAULKSING-LUTELY captivating, forcefully potent, powerfully emotional story like no other! I said after finishing Aries (book 4) that it was my favorite yet, but Alpha has wormed its way up to sit there beside Aries to share that title of My Favorite Zodiac Dragon Guardians Book! I loved Aries and the way that the strength & the power of love shone throughout, lighting up the dark, and while that power and strength is in this book too, it has to be discovered, uncovered and fought for every. step. of. the. way. I ugly cried - flat-out BAWLED - through a good portion of the last third or so of the book! The power, the beauty of it, the ugliness of it, the emotion.. the LOVE.. it all just poured into me, transformed me, showing me my story through the eyes of others... I mean, the way it all drew me in, sucked me through the Portal, caging me, chaining me to it, not letting go until I BECAME the story, BECAME Alpha, BECAME X and truly lived every. single. breath. with them. FOR THEM. Kim truly is an author who is so phenomenally talented it lights up even the darkest of shadows throughout all of her books! I love, Love, LOVE Kim’s writing style, the way her books are so enriched and with this depth to them that makes them “thinking books” meaning that everything is not explicitly spelled out for you, which draws you in ever deeper, making you feel like you are personally invested in how it all plays out, like you actually have a say in it all! I said that Kim had amped up her game with Aries (book 4) but now after finishing Alpha, I think it’s safe to say that Kim has dug deep and found that extra something-something, making her writing even MORE ALPHA-STRONG and Alpha proves that point in both the characters and OUR blood, sweat and tears!! Brutally beautiful
There is a brutal beauty to this fourth installment of Kim Faulks' Zodiac Dragon Guardians series. Alpha is a mortal, a member of Gunny's team. The story picks up from the end of the last book and finds the team mourning their losses from the raid that freed the Zodiac Guardian, Zaddoc, his mate and the brutalized X. Alpha commits to protecting X, a woman with many secrets and wounds. As they are drawn closer to each other, Alpha and X confront demons, treachery and betrayal that threaten to turn the world upside down. They also confront their driving need for each other, a need they both fully embrace. The novel concludes with a revelation that propels us into the next story.
Ms. Faulks has masterfully created this world, slowly revealing more and more as she develops old characters and introduces new ones. The overarching story moves forward as each character's story is told and their piece of the picture is fitted into place. The reader is left both satisfied with the answers given and itching for the answers yet to come. This series is proving to be a complex, wild ride, so buckle up. I'm definitely in for the long haul.

This Story Will Suck you in...
And leave you breathless by the time you get to the end. I thought it would be difficult for this series to get any better than Zadoc and Joslyn's story but I was wrong. X is a fighter that has been to hell and back, both literally and figuratively, but she stands strong and has an unforeseen d path to her. Alpha is the ultimate hero whose mortality in no way holds him back or makes him less. This book is an excellent bridge between Aries and the next book in the series, Virgo. It provides a wealth of backstory without bogging down and leaving the reader to struggle and get through it.I'm definitely looking forward to what happens next and would happily recommend to any paranormal fan.

I cant express how much i am in love with this zodiac guardian series!! And even though Alpha is not one of the zodiac dragons, i think this was the best book so far. X and Alpha are kindred spirits. They both are strong willed and relentless in their pursuits for justice. They fight for those they care about without caution for their own safety. They make the perfect team. Despite how their past seems to keep coming back to haunt them, they keep fighting. I love how Gunny's and Alpha's teammates are super supportive of one another, like a real family. They are all a force to be reckoned with in battle. They are on a mission to shut the Huntress and her enforcers down and put an end to hell on earth! Eagerly waiting for the next dragon's story...

X is a female wolf shifter who has been held prisoner by the forces of evil since she wax a child. In that time she was repeatedly raped and beaten.
Alpha rescues her from the prison and ends up taking the traumatised girl home when she is thrown out by the woman who was supposed to care for her.
This is about her coming into her own and many secrets are revealed.
Its a good, action packed read..

Started to read the first chapter to find out more about the book and before I knew I had finished the book. Just couldn't stop reading the book until I finished it - at 1:30 in the morning. (Good thing I am off.) The characters and the plot kept me intrigued enough that I had to see what happened to them and if they were going to succeed in their endeavors to find what they are looking for. Now to get the next book.

Everyone might think that X is broken inside, but she is strong, she is fighter, she is one in a kind. She gone trough hell, literally and for real. She became a shadow, but when shadow find someone she care for, then she raise into fighter. And her chosen one is ready to go trough hell and back for her. It was scary and beautiful at the same time. It was secrets and unexpected twists. It was magnifique.

Bloody but no longer broken
Two souls find each other in this book. The evil plaguing our hero's is still going strong and it seems to have impacted Alphas life more than we knew. You can't help but root for Alpha and X and just believe that the bad guys will get theirs in the end.

I am a Zodiac fan
I have been drawn into this all or nothing shifter world created by Kim Faulks. Warning once you start you keep reading because you want to know what happens next. These stories are good. I am hooked on the Zodiac Dragon Guardians. The world building with shifters and others keeps me reading to see what is next. WOW

Great series!
It's bloody, brutal, and altogether consuming. The story takes you places that make you want to hide but you can't stop reading. Alpha and X keep you spellbound until the end wondering what's going to happen next. I can't wait until next book!

OMG, So Good!!
So much nail biting suspense. Alpha by Kim Faulks is written with danger, excitement, action, and love. Read this book all the way through in one day. Very hard to put it down. Highly recommend. Love this series. Ready to read the next book in this series.

This book was just sorta eh for me. The whole story just felt dragged out and repetive. I didn't feel any short of an emotional connection between the two MC's until the where actual saying I love you but that seemed way out of the blue, the story focused more on how grief stricken he is and how sad and how she is hate and all that jazz. I would deffently surgest reading the other books in this series first because it kept mentioning and going on about other characters where nothing really apart from there name was mentioned. The MC's didn't really seem to have any depth to them just one dimensional characters who's only personality traits are told to you right at the start and then repeated like 50 odd time throughout the book.
I didn't like this at all, the only reason it's not 1 star is because I managed to finish it. As I said its all just very eh. :(

I'll say it again. This is an awesome series. You have your good guys who's sole purpose it to protect the innocent and create an environment that is a haven for those who need it. Then you have these intensive bad guys who get down into the marrow of your bone as you seethe at the injustice, you just want to help the characters find the answers before it's too late. The answers are out there but sometimes it feels like their chasing their tails.

This has been a very different kind of paranormal romance series. I have really enjoyed each new book and the characters they feature. There are some darker elements to the stories. I encourage you to read them all.
Alpha is a soldier that believes in saving others regardless of the personal costs. He feels a real connection to X when he saves her. She is a wolf shifter who suffered so much abuse. He wants to keep her safe but he is also strongly attracted to her. X is only sure that she wants to protect Alpha and be with him.
They have a dark but passionate journey together. I like that the author gives us both of their points of view and you really feel a strong connection to the characters. You feel X's pain and determination. Alpha has to deal with betrayal and a shocking surprise. It is an intense read.

I haven't read anything in this series. But after reading this book, I need to start reading the very first book of this series. Love the X and Alpha. This is a very intense reading of the abuse that X endured and Alpha dealing with his own demons.
