This is an alternate Cover Edition for ASIN: B01JPHTQ80.

Bellamy Foster leads his group of survivors on a perilous journey. Not only must he find a sanctuary for them all, but he is also on a quest to find his twin brother, Calloway.

Currently being stalked by raging, hungry, vicious zombie dogs, they become aware of a new, more sinister, threat. The infected SB-16 coma patients are now becoming vile, ravenous, and monstrous human zombies.

Will the survivors find a new sanctuary in time to save themselves and what remains of the shattered world around them?

Hounded 2 is an explicit horror – full of spattered slaughter, love and loss, fast-moving action, and a maze of unexpected destruction, that is sure to keep you turning pages late into the night. In this, her second novel, Ellie Douglas proves there’s plenty of rot to ooze out of the zombie genre.

I’m Ellie Douglas, and like you, I love horror, everything about horror, the goriest and most gruesome of horrors is the ultimate. I can’t get enough. So much so that I write horror. That need to be graphic, and explicit with my horror scenes makes me stand out. I give what I want to read to others, so now they can enjoy a true horror story.

I’m not all about just being graphic, I also build characters that the readers will love and or hate, so they can feel pulled right inside of the story that they are reading. It gives me so much enjoyment when I hear remarks like, ‘You made me want to puke,’ ‘I have nightmares every damned night –thanks,’ and ‘Quentin Tarantino and Steven King made a baby, YOU!’ when I hear comments like that, I know then I’ve succeeded, that also pushes me into writing more and becoming even better.

I’m fun loving, generous and very mysterious. I enjoy spending time with my family, and have four children to keep the horror writing alive. I enjoy helping others and volunteer my services to help Autistic children, I love cosplay and the chance to dress up as a monster, zombie or some other gritty character is fun, oh so much fun.

I love summer, and well…I hate winter. I live in New Zealand and feel often too far away from all the cool stuff going on in the world. I love helping people all the time. I’ve got my hands dipped in a few things, I write books, but I also make professional book covers for other authors, I also create adult coloring books and I have a gambling app that I designed on the apple store :) I’ve always got a project going, be it writing or creating, that is who I am and I love it :)

My ultimate aim is to give back, paying it forward, to constantly better myself and give the audience amazing stories. Let me scare you…

After setting up the story in Hounded, Hounded 2 is a tale of reunions, loss, and survival. The characters must continue to fight to stay alive.

Like Hounded, the story at its heart was amazing. The characters had individual personalities and feelings.

As far as the writing style, I found it very similar to the first book. In my opinion, it was way too descriptive by using too many adjectives and adverbs. The ending seemed cut short and neat in comparison to the rest of the book. With the rest of the chaos in the start and in Hounded, it just seemed too clean. It almost felt like the author may have been setting up for a third installment. If not for the distracting descriptions and wrong use of some words, these novels could be absolutely amazing. I am truly anxious to see how this author grows in future stories.

I really enjoyed the first book and couldn’t wait to find out what happened next. And I like reading Bellamy’s point of view. He’s still trying to find his twin brother, Cal, and things are more deadly than ever. It’s not just zombie dogs out there anymore. Something just as dangerous is prowling, wanting to feed. Who finds who and who survives or dies is anybodies guess as the group tries to find a safe haven with the odds stacked against them.

I’m happy to tell you this is every bit as good as the first book. The hits just keep on coming. I’ve become quite attached to many of these characters too, and that worries me. Nobody holds the golden ticket for survival.

Another action packed, zombie bash. Be prepared. The author makes it a gore fest that’ll have you cringing, trying NOT to picture the scenes. There’s more than one kind of zombie and this should please all the fans out there.

I received a complimentary copy. My review is voluntarily given.

If it was not bad enough worried about zombie dogs hunting you down and either mauling you or turning you into a coma patient things just got worse. The coma patients have risen as zombies themselves. It’s going to be tough for Bellamy Foster to keep his little group of survivors safe while they try to find a new home and he tries to get back to his brother.

Bellamy is trying to find a safe haven for his little group. But they are kept on the run from the zombie dogs. Then a fresh horror surfaces as the coma patients have now become zombies. It seems that no matter where they go they are being hunted. But then there is Calloway. Bellamy is determined to get to him but at what cost?

I loved Hounded and this is a great sequel. There is a fresh level of horror as human zombies have now risen to the plague the world. I love how Bellamy is determined to find a safe place for his group but it just seems that it will never happen. Of course there is the horror and gore as zombies make snacks of the surviving humans.

If you love zombie I recommend this book, you will love it. Mind you I recommend reading the Hounded before you dig into book 2.

I received Hounded 2 from Silver Dagger Book Tours for free. This has in no way influenced my opinion of this book.

Now this is a sequel! The very moment you pick up Hounded 2, you are immediately sucked back into a post-apocalyptic world which is raveningly terrorized by zombie dogs. Worst yet, the virus transformed the unconscious victims into flesh eating walking dead. Most importantly, the novel begins where several key characters have split off in the first book...whew! And that’s just the beginning!
Douglas creates an epic view of a new world, of survivors and even dare say hope for the future. Even more, she tackles man’s inner darkness and reveals another layer brutality into this hostile world. With the dynamic characters, Douglas’s savage descriptions of people being slaughtered is not for the light reader: I like gruesome and it worked! Still, at the very end, the reader is left hanging on. I only hope another part is in the works because I enjoyed being drawn into this dark, disgusting, brutal world!

Of all the book series I’ve read, this is the first that I couldn’t stop thinking about and absolutely could not wait to read the next one to learn what was going to happen next and how it was going to end.

Ellie’s vivid imagery kept me enticed and wincing throughout the both books. Now that humans who’ve had the SB-16 or scratched/bitten by a human zombie are turning into zombie, the characters must fight harder for their lives than they did when it was just the dogs. And to make matters worse, the human and dog zombies communicate.

The violence level in these books is not for everyone, so if you have a weak stomach, you might want to have a second thought, otherwise, I highly recommend the Hounded books for all zombie lovers.

Hounded 2 is a sequel to Hounded, and carried on where the first book ended, and doesn’t disappoint. It is action from beginning to end, and sees the characters, who in the first book, were all looking for one another, reunited. When they are, matters are not relieved, and the cast is in for a rough ride, this time facing human zombies, as well as the dogs. With gore a-plenty, the survivors gel perfectly, and Author Douglas isn’t afraid to kill characters off, which is so refreshing. Anyone who likes books with zombies will love this, and I’m sure that they will give it five stars, as I have. Great stuff!

Hounded 2 was a great, compelling closure for this two-part series! My only complaint, I wish it hadn't ended. The last scene left me wanting more! A fantastic read, Author Ellie Douglas, you have a new reader for life.

It was a fast moving book, lots of blood and guts and very sad at times. I couldn't wait to
get to the second book which I just finished. It was a really good book and I am looking forward to the next book.
