Impact: Twisted Hearts Love Story by Autumn Sand
5x a Million Stars
This author….Oh my goodness!! I could grab a dictionary and look up every complimentary word out there and it would not be enough to explain in words how amazingly awesome I think this author is. I loved this series, and if possible I loved this book even more than the first 3, that's hard to say because I really loved those as well. She grabs you at page 1 and doesn't let go even after finishing the last word. She weaves words and comes up with all these little twists and turns throughout the whole book. There's not just one big twist towards the end, it happens all the way through. This book had a lot of flashbacks to different times, every one of these were needed. I bring this up because I normally don't like flashbacks, but the way this one read was brilliant. It was like watching a movie, and speaking of that, this series would make an awesome collection of movies, but I found myself reading a chapter and seriously looking forward to the next flashback..It was awesome!!
I loved Manny, this whole book was from his POV and while I love different POV’s through a book, this one worked perfectly. A major loss when he was younger changed the course of his life in ways that were not ideal. The decisions he made from that point on were a direct result of this loss, as well as the love he had in his heart for a girl, a love he was not even completely aware of. Their story is unique and unlike anything I've ever read before. The parts played by so many in this story kept me on my toes, because I never knew from one page to the next what would happen or who would be behind it. I'm not going to say anymore, I'm so afraid I'll ruin this book for anyone that wants to read it, and trust me this book deserves to be read, but do yourself a favor and read them in order...There is one character in this book that I had a huge dislike for, until she showed up in Manny’s story...She may actually be one of my favorites now!!
I just don't know if I can wait till January for the first book in the spinoff series, this will be brutal, so I'll wait till December and read these again and stalk this author so I can grab Ruin the second it comes out.

Impact by Autumn Sands a hard hitting five-star read. This is a stand-alone read but it is the fourth and final book in the Twisted hearts love story series, and what a way to go. Have loved the series, and each story interconnects but they are all independent and can be read without the others easily. They are suitable for over 18s only as they are hotter than a steaming bath of lava.
Manuel Leon is a man whom many know as Manny the playboy at club Pulse the boss who likes to have a good time with the ladies. At least that’s who he is now but in the past, he has been known by many different faces. And he has made many hard decisions. Including who to love, the problems he faces will leave him facing life and death decisions. Will he make the right one in the end?
This story has so many ups and downs, there are twists and turns and without giving spoilers this story will hook you, who will Manny love, will everyone survive the fall out? What a story, it will have an impact on your life, you won’t be able to put it down.

The story Impact: Twisted Hearts Love Story by Autumn Sand is a contemporary romance book. This is an amazing story that I loved reading. It is the 4th book in the Twisted Hearts Love Story series. It is Manny’s story. It begins with an event that has young Manny’s world turning upside down and from there the book goes back and forth from the current day to the past and chronicles parts of Manny’s life. Manny is a character that has been through a lot. He does what he has to in order to survive. He pulled himself out of a lifestyle that most likely would have caused him an early death. Reading about the ups and downs of Manny’s life had my emotions going up and down like a rollercoaster. It was also wonderful to read about the person who Manny loves so much that he would do anything to keep her safe. While their relationship could be considered tumultuous at times, they have a connection to each other. Her character is smart, independent, and loves to help others. There are other secondary characters that you are introduced to. It was sad to read about the ones that are only out for themselves and have no regard to the pain that their actions cause Manny. There are some twists in this story that I didn’t see coming. There are also parts that had me wondering what was going to happen next. This book can be read as a standalone. It is a story that you don’t want to miss. I also highly recommend reading the other books in the series as well. This is an author who creates wonderful stories with amazing characters. I always look forward to reading her books. This story does have mature content and would be for those 18 years of age or older.

This author seriously has got to be one of my favourites! I have read all of her books so far and I just can’t get enough of them! Every single one is excellently written and Impact was no exception! It was also the most unexpected too – I’m not sure what I expected from Manny’s story but I know it wasn’t this! Oh my gosh – I cried, I laughed, I swooned and I loved! I loved Manny (for the most part!) and I loved Zoe! She was just so in love with him that she never got over him at all. I can see why Manny did the things that he did but I got a little frustrated with him at times! There were so many twists in this story that it certainly lives up to the name of the series! Although this is the fourth book in the series it could be read as a standalone but in my opinion the others are so fantastic too that you won’t regret reading them all!
This book was written in past and present POV’s and although there are jumps about in time you definitely don’t get lost at all. The flow of the story is great and I feel like I know Manny’s character inside out.
I really cannot wait to see where Autumn takes this series next – I know it is going to be amazing! She is a brilliant author who creates the most amazing characters!

What a finale to this amazing Dark Romance series. Though technically part of the Twisted Hearts series, Impact can be read as a standalone novel. (As can all the books).
In this final book, we follow Manny as he is being interrogated by police about a murder. We watch his life in flashbacks as readers gain insight into his connections with the other characters that bring us to the present day.
This novel was a complete whirlwind of emotions. There were so many twists and turns, along with major reveals that I never saw coming. And that is what I loved about this novel. You see so many sides of the same thing, and each time you get some new clarity.
I found the flashbacks unique, simply because it was practically the entire book rather than one here or there. And I liked it. They showed a depth and growth to the characters that I think a regular timeline wouldn't have been able to.
I'm going to miss these characters, but I'm excited for more from Autumn.

Impact is Book Four and s STANDALONE in The Twisted Hearts Series.
I have loved Manny since the very beginning and have anxiously waited for his story. Manny is the joker of the group, always laughing and encouraging his friends to live on the lighter side of life.
Just like all the other men of Twisted Hearts, Manny has a past he hasn't shared before. A woman he loved that left him broken and searching for the pieces, but Manny knew what those pieces were and he was too stubborn to go pick them up.
Impact is that perfectly imperfect love story. Manny will have to work hard because love doesn't always sit down and wait for you to realize it's there before getting up and walking away.
Autumn Sand has taken these flawed characters and made them larger than life. In each character she masterfully crafts traits that every reader will relate to, and feel a part of themselves within.
Mannys story is full of pain, but this pain helps him grow in ways I didn't think possible. It was fantastic to see how far he has come, and that speaks volumes alone about this author.
Such an amazing book with just the right amount of steam to keep you turning each and every page.

I enjoyed this book, and my heart really went out to Manny while he told a flashback to the events that had happened in his past that brought him to where he is in the present day. Zoe has really been through just about as much, minus a few darker elements, but with a sister ready to torch all that is meant to be. This book features a dark tale that starts off with drugs and manipulation that leads Manuel Leon down the path that makes him the strong man he is today.
There are several sexual scenes that get pretty intense, so please keep that in mind before you decide to pick up any book from this series.

Yet another great twisted love story by Autumn Sand that I could not put down!
This book can read as a standalone story even though it is part of a series. It has a few twists and turn and is quite the journey from start to finish. It is definitely a book that will have you wondering what is coming at you next. The characters in these books, usually the male lead and associates, have a dark and twisted past and present which makes for a lot of unpredictability and love against the odds. There is a lot of sweetness in this story which gives some light in the dark.
I loved the character of Zoe in this book. She loves so hard and sees things as they are throughout which is something Manny doesn't seem to do. But she lets him get it in his own time and loves him really no matter what. She is the meaning of the saying behind every good man is a good woman.
I enjoyed this book a lot and took almost no time to read it as I could not put it down. Some of the additional characters are very interesting and I would love to read more about them in the future.

I was surprised by just how much I loved this book! Coming in at the end of the series I was confused some bit for the most part this is a standalone! The characters are all really dynamic and the story is one that will grip you and suck you in!
I did have some confusion in the beginning but that was cleared up as I kept reading and what I really loved about this book was the pacing and how the author went back and forth between time periods! The story didn’t drag out and all important information was present!

Amazing twisted dark love story that kept me thoroughly engaged throughout every page. Page Turner read.
This can be read as a standalone novel even though there are others book in this series.
Autumn definitely keeps you on your toes with this read, twists and turn and some unexpected turns at their best. I have loved the dark male lead character Manny and the ever loving female lead Zoe. She is an absolute dream to have in this story. After reading this I'll be sure to head back and read the books in the series.

I love Autumn Sand's writing. It's edgy, it makes you feel what the character feels. You ride their high's, their low's. It's an incredible journey.
This book is no different.

Impact is the fourth book in the Twisted Hearts series, and while it can be read as a stand alone, I highly recommend reading them in order so that the character development and plot lines make the most sense. Impact focuses on Manny and Zoe, and this is a much anticipated story that all of Autumn Sand’s readers have been waiting for. The best thing about this book, is that it is presented from his point of view, and travels from the present to the past and shows his entire relationship with Zoe from the different times and his perspective. I didn’t get the chance to read the first three books in this series, but I have them on my kindle now and I can’t wait to see how the characters got to where they are in Impact and then get to enjoy the other nuances in the story that can only really be appreciated from following the entire series.
Autumn Sand is a new to me author, but after reading this book and soon this entire series I can’t wait to see what her next project is going to be. This is a great contemporary romance read that will keep you wanting more from the beginning paragraph all the way through to the epilogue. Impact is the fourth stellar instalment in The Twisted Hearts Series by Autumn Sand. I was a little devastated to find that this is the final book in this incredible series. That made me quite sad at first, till I read that there is a spin-off series called ‘The El Diablo Chronicles”, with book one “Ruin” due for release in a few short months!! I am so excited and can’t wait for that book- tomorrow wouldn’t be soon enough!
From the beginning of this superb series, I have been intrigued by all the characters, eagerly awaiting and reading each of their stories- but I have been particularly interested in Manny since the first book, as I always suspected he would have a fascinating story to tell, but I never imagined just how intense and mind-blowing a story he’d have. Ms. Sand blew me out of the water with some of the revelations, twists and surprises. Manny is far deeper and more complex than I’d imagined, and as the story unfolded I discovered what has shaped him into the man we now know, why he is the way he is and why he hides his pain behind a cleverly crafted jokester, live-in-the-moment facade. And why he feels he doesn’t deserve to find happiness or peace of mind.
I loved him, even though he really frustrated me at times through the story, I am so glad to finally know him and am really happy with the way the story ended. Zoe was such a wonderful character, I loved her! She had been through so much herself, but remained such a wonderful person. They really were perfect for each other.
It wouldn’t be a Twisted Hearts Love Story without the element of danger, and I thought Ms. Sand was quite clever in the way this was introduced and added to the storyline. I also really appreciated how the story seamlessly transitioned back and forth between the past and present, as a lot of the backstory was revealed. It added an extra element of interest to this book.
I had no idea how this story would play out, I was hoping it would be as good as the others, but wasn’t sure how Ms. Sand would be able to match them. I did have really high expectations and Ms. Sand didn’t disappoint, I think she saved the best for last! So, Kudos to you Ms. Sand!
I also found out that Ms. Sand has another new series that she has been working on too, Forbidden: Tales of Passion, Lust and Betrayal Volume 1 is due for release in December- I can’t wait to get my hands on it!

I also found out that Ms. Sand has another new series that she has been working on too, Forbidden: Tales of Passion, Lust and Betrayal Volume 1 is due for release in December- I can’t wait to get my hands on it!

Impact : Twisted Hearts Love Story is the four book in this series and is a great love story, with twists and turns. It is about a love which is blind, Zoe has loved Manny forever but he has always seen her as his girlfriends little sister, until one night they both realise its more than just friendship.
Manuel or Manny to his friends has had heartbreak in his life from a young age, losing his mother was his first big issue, being then dragged to live with his father (only in name) and then when he was older enough to work running as far away from his father or keeper as he could. Leaving Florida with his best friend Antwon ending back in New York in search of his best friend and love of his life Demaris.
But as life goes on he realises the girl he thought he wanted and need was the wrong sister. Zoe from a young age has always looked out for Manny regarding her sister, Demaris. Demaris has always used the kind hearted man but ever time she breaks his heart, Zoe is always there to help he put it back together until one time Manny realises there is more to there relationship than just being friends, so he decides to bite the bullet and take the relationship to the next level.

I love Autumn Sand her books just draw you in with her writing and although this is a love story, the life Manny has gone through makes you want to cry, you like I will be shouting at the e-reader regarding the hideous way his ex-girlfriend blatantly uses him but he is so blinded by her she cannot see. I have waited a while for this story and am glad it was written next in this wonderful series. If you have not read any of Autumn's books I suggest you go and download them now you will not be sorry. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Impact: Twisted Hearts Love Story by Autumn Sand is the fourth book in her Twisted Hearts series. This story can be read as a standalone but I highly suggest reading the other three books too. I enjoyed this book as well as the others but one of my favorite things with this book is that it is wrote in a mans point of view. You don't get to see that very often but this author has done this very well. This is Manny's story which I think we all have been waiting for. His story starts out with a situation that turns Manny life upside down at a young age. You will enjoy how this author effectively switches back and forth between the past and current day. She did this very well without anything getting lost. Manny is a man who has been through a lot and had learned to do what he must in order to survive. He has managed to pull himself up and out of trouble in order to save his life. He also has one love in his life and he would do anything to keep her safe. Their relationship may not always be the best but they do have a connection to each other. Will he learn the impact she has on his life? Is it possible to put the pieces of life back together and find hope for happiness? You will be able to connect with the characters in this book. They will pull you into their world and take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. Some characters you will not lie and others you will love. They will take you on some twists and turns that you won't see coming and keep you wanting more. They are strong, independent and tough emotionally. Sometimes it is tough to read about characters that intentionally go out to hurt others with disregards to feelings or consequences. But those characters also help make this story what it is and Manny's story wouldn't be the same without them. I highly recommend this story as I know you will want to see what Manny's story is.

This series has stolen my heart, my nerves, my anxiety, my tears, my joy and my frustration. I have loved this series and couldn't wait to get my hands on this book. Not surprised-Autumn did not disappoint. She did this story justice and then some. I'm now anxiously awaiting The El Diablo Chronicles. I was first saddened to hear Impact was the last of this series, but I have a feeling some of the characters I've come to love will be intertwined in The El Diablo Chronicles (fingers crossed).

Manny was torn from his family from a young age and did the best he could with the circumstances he was dealt. He had an idea of how he wanted his life to go, but kept finding himself taking another step backwards each time he thought life was turning a corner.

Impact is the fourth book in the Twisted Hearts Love series and is also the last in his series but I hope not because I would love to see my favorite couple again and see what they are up too. The storyline is incredible and the main characters are well developed and well written. There are also twist and turns in this story that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
We met Manny in the beginning he is the joker of the group, always laughing and encouraging his friends to live on the lighter side of life. But he has a past with secrets that he hasn’t shared with the rest of the group.
He thought he loved a woman that manipulated him and left him broken and searching for the pieces, but Manny knew what those pieces were and he was too stubborn to go pick them up.
Zoe has always been on the sidelines when it comes to Manny. She is so in love with him that she never got over him at all.
First, they were friends and later lovers.
She was the light in the dimness of his pitiful existence. They swore they would always be together in life and in death. But then his past came knocking, and he was running out of time. He had to save her before he saved himself. Never did he know the impact she had on his life till he found her again.
Will Manny be-able to let go of his painful past and move forward with Zoe? Can he let Zoe knock down the walls he has built up over the years or will he let her walk away again?
You really need to read this book/series I highly recommend it.

Wow, what can I say about Impact by Autumn Sand. This is the 4th and final (sob!) book in the Twisted Hearts Love Story series and, for me, it was the best in the series. Talk about leaving the best till last! Each book in this series can be read as a stand-alone but I’d suggest that you read all 4 books for a couple of reasons. The first being that the series is so good, it would be shame not to read it all. Secondly, as the main male characters appear in all 4 books you really get a deeper insight into their characters as the books progress.
From reading the first 3 and getting to know Manny, you would never realise he had so much going on in his life. He’s always been the laid back one, happy to spread his ‘free loving ways’ to any and all woman. You’d never know the pain and heartache that he’s gone through.
This book will totally grip you from the very beginning and not let you go. It’s hard hitting, gritty, thrilling, heartbreaking, hell it has everything!!
I loved the way this story was told going from present time, back to Manny’s younger days and also counting down the events of the previous 2 months. This did an amazing job of keeping you on the edge of your seat wondering what the author was going to throw at you next. And by God you definitely get thrown a few crackers that you did not see coming.
If you love a great romantic thriller, then this book, and the whole series, will take you through a roller coaster of emotions and leave you wanting more. Highly recommend!

I would highly recommend if ypu haven't go back and read the first three books, as dome of the characters overlap into the next book and so on.Ive been waiting for Manny's story and am over the moon excited about this story.I couldn't read fast enough, nor get enough of Manny,This story starts out in the past with a tragic event that pretty much turned little (younger) Manny's world upside down.As we read we go back and forth between past and present, it can be a little confusing but for me I loved it that much more,because we got more of Manny and why's answered well some of them.Manny has been and seen alot he did what he had to do to survive, this made my heart hurt.I was an emotional mess reading this story but a good way.Manny had a girl he was so in love with that he would do anything to keep her safe. They connect to each other. Her character, loves to help others, is smart and very independent. I love her character. There are a few twists and turns that had me on the edge,one because I didn't see it coming and two I was dying to know what was going to happen. I am loving this series so much, Autumn Sand does a great job of pulling you right in with her writing. You feel like your experiencing things with the characters.
We jump past to present while reading so that we can get the back history on Manny and what he has been through. Right from the start my heart and emotions were all over the place.
Fifty steps are all it takes to turn a person’s life upside down.
There is so much that happens that I really don’t want to spoil anything for you. Lets just say the only woman he has ever loved also comes back into his life. But will he let her in or push her away to keep her safe? Will Manny get his HEA?
Instead of reaching for my salvation, I place the key into the ignition, giving her one last glance before releasing her.
The secondary characters added a great element to the story. There were so many twists and turns I didn’t know what to expect next. Which I love in a story. I was emotionally exhausted when I got done with this book. It’s hard to find books that really get you and I have to say this series is one of my favorites to date. From then on out, it is one disaster after another with Manny fighting to survive. After all the life and death situations he has been in, he should be dead but he somehow survived. The story is written with continual flashbacks to his younger days but these are crucial to understanding the story and how all the characters are connected.
From a young age he fell into a life that should have killed him yet he managed to get out. But do you ever really get out? Somehow he always got caught up in a mess. I felt bad that Manny could never catch a break. There has been only one light in his life and even their relationship was tumultuous. There is a saying, “Anything worth having is worth fighting for”. Manny fought long and hard his whole life but is it too late to put the pieces back together?
This story is filled with so many twists and turns it will have your head spinning. This is another fantastic book in the Twisted Hearts series. Autumn Sand is an amazing author who can write riveting stories that will leave you breathless.

Impact (Twisted Hearts Love Story #4) by Autumn Sand was an okay read that kept me intrigued till the end.
The fourth book in the Twisted Hearts series, and this time we are following the brewing Manny. You meet him early on in the series, and I've always want to know more about him. In saying that, this book can be read as a standalone, but the books should be read in order, as they do follow a consistent timeline, so there are some spoilers in this book.
On a whole this book, was okay. I did like the way it opened, we got to see a young Manny and his heart break, then the kicker when it jumps to his current life, where it plays out like a Crime drama TV show. That really set the stage and drew me into the story. Now, as much as I like time jumps, they can be over done and this book, unfortunately fell into that trap. There are ways to explain the past without it constantly jumping back and forth. It makes the reading jumping and confusing, especially when it takes away from the main plot. I believe that if it was cleaned up a bit, it would have rounded out this original read and brought it fully home.
Overall this is a good unique read that will keep you on your toes, as there are twist, turns, heat and action. So please take my recommendation and my approval that you will get sucked into this compelling second change romance.

Different from the other three books in this series Manny’s book flip flops from his past to present day. His childhood was very traumatic from the time he was a young boy until his later years leading him to the choices that he made throughout his life. The only constant was his love for the girl next door, unfortunately not everything is as it seems and Manny learns that lesson time after time and mostly not in a good way.
Through it all one thing remains constant and that’s sometimes we miss what is right in front of us. Luckily for Manny he does open his eyes before he ends up losing the thing that could save him. His life is like a roller coaster and Ms. Sand does a good job helping the reader to enjoy the ride.
I so loved this series and am sorry to see it end. But now I am looking forward to the spinoff series and finding out more and more about El Diablo, I can’t wait to see what happens next and hopefully get to see some of the old characters pop up not to mention getting to meet some new ones. Impact is the fourth book in the Twisted Hearts Love Story series by Autumn Sand which is a dark romance series. It can read as a standalone but should be read as part of a series. There are lots of twists and turns, pain and heartbreak, betrayal and love and because you are invested in the characters you feel every emotion as you follow them on their journey from the past to the future.
Finally we get to Manny’s story and it does not disappoint and I really enjoyed that it was written in his POV. Manny is a man that has been broken all his life that has been ripe with so much tragedy and betrayal it makes you wonder how he has survived. Sometimes I wanted to smack some sense into him and make he see what was happening right under his nose. Other times I just wanted to hold him and take away all his pain.

I have really enjoyed reading this series and all characters and stories interconnect, which makes reading them much more intriguing and helps to connect you to the characters.
Finally we get to Manny’s story and it does not disappoint and I really enjoyed that it was written in his POV. Manny is a man that has been broken all his life that has been ripe with so much tragedy and betrayal it makes you wonder how he has survived. Sometimes I wanted to smack some sense into him and make he see what was happening right under his nose. Other times I just wanted to hold him and take away all his pain.

Impact by Autumn Sands
Four stars
Love, betrayal, heartache, drugs and death this book had it all. The raw truth in this story grabs you by the throat and refuses to let go. This is how people truly live in the hoods of the world. The only difference is there truly is no getting out. Yeah we get a HEA in this story but not all of it was great. The deaths of family and those Manny loved will sit on his heart for life. All the pain and suffering has etched its way for life on his soul. I enjoyed this story because I know people who live this truth. There are kids out there fighting everyday just to survive on these streets. Zoe was a trooper but I don’t think I could've stayed for Manny no matter how much I loved him. I will not be someone’s second choice. Manny dodged death on a number of counts and I believe his mother was watching over him. He suffered too much but always looked out for everyone else. The author dis an amazing job bringing these characters to life and shining a light on the way this world is setup. Sometimes trusting the cops will just get you killed all the same. I will have to go back and read the rest of this authors books for this series. It was really good and I hope there will be a continuation of Manny and Zoe.

Impact is Book 4, and the final book in the Twisted Hearts Love Story series by Autumn Sand and is my favorite of them all! Each book tells of a different alpha-male that is somehow connected to a mob family within New York and their fall for strong willed, independent, confident women. Each male has skeletons in the closet, and each female is in some form of distress. Book 4 tells us about Manny, (Manuel) his very unfortunate upbringing, his climb from criminal to legitimate, his love woes, and then finally his happily ever after. We meet him briefly in the 3 previous books, but not enough to label him anything more than mysterious, and dangerous. I felt like we get to know Manny on a much more personal level than any of the characters in previous books, and so was much more connected and in tune to his feelings and hardships, success and victories. I loved the way this book jumped from past to present to past to present, showing us who he is now and what happened in the past to make him that person. I felt like this story had more ups and downs, more action, and overall was better written. I literally couldn’t put it down!! I highly recommend this book and give it 5 out of 5 stars!

This story is the fourth book in the Twisted Hearts series and it so fits right in with the theme. I have read the other three books in this series but it has been a few years. I did not have to refresh my memory with the other books as there was little reference to the characters from those books. Would I recommend reading them? Definitely!
Impact is a story that bounces around from present day to the past. The characters remain the same through-out the story as Manny is telling it through his perspective. We see how each character “impacts” the others, both negatively and positively. This is Manny’s story. A story that has kept me turning the pages and hoping that Autumn Sand will continue not only this series but continue writing anything, because she is just that good!
