The ‘100 things to know about science’ book is a fantastic method of introducing new knowledge to children within key stage 2. The nonfiction book provides an excellent introduction to the exciting aspects of science such as: DNA, genes and the construction of the world itself. As illustrated by its name, there are 100 facts included within the book making it educational but also very fun to read!
I personally, would use the facts included within the book as starter activities for my students to engage with. For example, from using the fact ‘the speed of light is faster than sound’, I would be able to interest my students into new areas of thinking and challenge them further.
However, despite this book being aimed at children more so then adults it is yet, purposeful to anyone who wishes to learn further about science in a quick, quirky and exciting way.
