My boss controls everything I do. And I'm starting to love it. When I messed up my boss's huge presentation and lost him his biggest client, I was sure I was done for. I need this job more than anything—without it, I've got nothing. So when he told me to get on my knees and beg to keep working for him... I did it. I blushed furiously, but I did it. That was the start of the end. My boss says he won't fire me on one condition... I've got to live with him for one week while I prove to him I can listen. That I can behave. If it sounds dirty, it's because it is. This isn't a normal job training exercise—this is him proving he controls me. All I wanted to do was keep my job. Now I'm crawling on all fours, wearing what he tells me to, and bending over every piece of furniture in his house so he can punish me for my mistakes. Mistakes I'm starting to make on purpose. Why is this perverted stuff turning me on, changing who I am? And after seven days of this... will I ever be the same again?
This is a standalone novella with a HEA and NO cheating! Penny Wylder writes just that-- wild romances. Happily Ever Afters are always better when they're a little dirty, so if you're looking for a page turner that will make you feel naughty in all the right places, jump right in and leave your panties at the door!
This book could have been SO SO good! Unfortunately, because we NEVER get the hero's POV I felt ZERO connection between this couple. To be honest, the hero just came off like a bullying egotistical unethical asshole and the heroine was a doormat of EPIC proportions.
Sure we find out at the end there was a little more to it, but by that time it was too little too late. This lacked any real plot. Any real character development. What a disappointment...sigh.
It was not good. I didn't like the characters, the "love" interest was a douchebag and frankly he was just abusive. The whole premise is ridiculous, in real life that sort of behaviour would be called sexual harrasment. The guy just took advantage of his superior position to have sex with his secretary - and threatened her that if she wouldn't do everything he told her she would be fired - in which world that sort of thing is alright and healthy? And he calls it "love"?
Vivian spills coffee on her boss's papers for one of the most important client of their comptany and to not fire her her boss, Kodiche, offers her seven days at his home for her to prove that she can obbey. Only there were six days and on the last one oh well you'll have to find out.
The premise of this book had me excited to read it and by all accounts the bones of the story were there... I just couldn't fall in love (or even lust) with hero & the heroine came off as more weak than submissive.
I like my book boyfriends alpha, bossy and dominant - I even like them with a good dose of asshole, but for me Kodiche was close to being plain rude, ignorant & near unlikable. The shame is that he did have a hidden side I could've bonded with - it just came to light too late in the book. The same could be said for Vivian too.
What got me to rate it 3 stars, higher than I maybe would have, was that the sex (light bdsm, spanking, toys) was filthy hot. I just wish I could've bonded with the characters more & it would've been a brilliant read.
5 Super-Sexy-Stars! ☆☆☆☆☆ I liked this story. A lot! Tons of hot steamy sex scenes and Kodiche is one hell of a hot boss. Even though i cant stand his name. (Mind you, his brother name isn't any better, Origen.) if i had to point out a major flaw, that would be it. The character names.
“Okay, I’m good.” “Yes, you are.” He chuckles and thrusts forward a bit more, giving me inch after inch in a painfully slow glide. I hear the grind of his teeth and look up at his face instead of disappearing c#ck, and see his face screwed up like he’s the one with a huge d!ck up his ass for the first time. He’s close to coming already, I can tell. Bearing down, squeezing with all my might, I clench around his c#ck, pulling him deeper. “Motherf#%ker!” A litany of curses spill from his lips, and Kodiche reaches down and grabs the base of his c#ck”
Kodiche is a very dominating alpha male who f#%ks like his life deponds on it, lol.
“I fantasized about this, of bringing in coffee and offering him a different sort of distraction on his break. Those eyes of his, though . . . They’re more than I ever dreamed of. Seeing him devour me with those dark eyes, I know I’ll never get this out of my head. Late at night, ten years from now, I’ll still be picturing myself on my knees beside his desk and sucking his c#ck while he looks at me with such awe. “That’s right. F#%k! Take it all, Vivian. Swallow it all down,” he barks as he starts to come. I gag, choking on the fluid as it lands on the back of my tongue, but his hands hold me down, giving me no option but to swallow. It gets easier as the pulses slow to dribbles, and he finally pulls out, leaving me gasping. “Lick me clean.”
All in all, the story was a little cheesy, but packed with romance...if you call getting screwed every way possible romance ;) but i liked it. It was short, sweet, & sexy with a HEA. :)

Blurb: Vivian is messes up at work and is on the verge of being fired. Her boss, Kodiche offers for her to redeem herself by coming to his house and doing anything he says for seven days. Vivian agrees and so the games begin. Will Vivian save her job?
Kodiche seems very closed off emotionally throughout the book. He's hot one minute and cold the next. Vivian seems very inexperienced. She will do anything to save her job no matter what is it. The passion between the two builds to extreme levels over the several days they have together. That ending too!?! I did not see that coming with his sister. Well played out! Now that's what they call a small world.
The only thing that bothered me in this book is the tasks Kodiche has Vivian do in the beginning. Dressing slutty and performing tasks in public was weird. I get he was trying to get her to do anything he says but still...especially when feelings get involved. Other than that it was a quick and fairly good read.
Not the first, and won’t be the last. ARC Review. 4Dropping Inhibitionsstars~~ In my mind, I heard a little bow chicka wow wow in the first chapter. No sexual acts, but a total lead-in with the begging. “I’m serious. I’ll do anything.” -Vivian
What would have otherwise been a surreal Penthouse Forum moment, surprised me by remaining grounded with a tender side. Vivian needs her job, taking care of sick family members trumps pride, so she will do anything to keep it. Of course, she didn’t think seven days with Kodiche involved erotic humiliation.
Personally, I hate taking orders. I’d like to think I would just slap the sexy, commanding, panty-licking bastard, and walk...But damn, the way he can tease a woman would be hard to resist. The story did its job of sweeping me away with the rise of smutty tension. So, I can hardly blame Viv for sticking around.
The only thing that was missing in this quickie was his POV. I would love to get in his bed…I mean head.
Meh. I wasn't feeling this one. The whole "I'm-going-to-take-advantage-of-my-position-to-punish-my-secretary-who-also-happens-to-be-quite-sexy" trope has been done before. . .and better.
I love Penny Wylder and in my future blog posts, you’ll be seeing a lot more reviews from me about her books because she’s one of my favourite indie authors but this book was a major disappointment.
I understand the dynamics of a dominant relationship and the forbidden romance of a boss and a secretary but seriously? I would call HR on his ass if my boss decided to “teach me” to become a better employee by telling me to go on my knees and strip for him. It was just too rushed into it, with no ease for readers so it felt very wrong in a very bad way instead of a very good way.
I finished this four days ago and had to read the synopsis just now to remind myself what the book was about. It's ok, but nothing really memorable. Vivian is weaker than I'd like. People can be submissive, yet strong at the same time. It frustrates me when weak characters are branded "submissive" and that makes it ok. Kodiche was hard to connect with. Anytime you get the chance to learn more about him, he runs away. If Vivian so much as breathed the wrong way, he would go from sweet as pie to the douchiest douche in 0.2 seconds. And he was barely called out on it.
*Sorta Spoiler* And the ending... phew. Lightning speed conclusion. Everything gets wrapped up in three pages. Like, EVERYTHING. No epilogue needed thanks to those four lovely minutes of Vivian sitting on Kodiche's lap resolving all of their issues, no discussion needed. The only thing missing was a surprise pregnancy. Praise the lawd for that.
So, this was my first read from Penny Wylder, but I didn’t really connect with the characters. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the premise of the story and the backstory was really intense, but it was too quick. Kodiche is a mystery for most of the book, and I want to say he had a cold demeanor because of his culture or his upbringing, but I couldn’t pinpoint it. He does have sexy side ladies, so don’t get discouraged. I actually liked the fact that he had a book on how to be a dominant, like he was learning the ropes with her. That was cute. Vivian is a big mess with a big heart. She basis her life around helping others, but has never focused on herself. When her boss, Kodiche, asks her to spend seven days with him to prove she deserves her job she’s more than willing to go. What she doesn’t expect is that Kodiche wants her to be his personal assistant in every way without asking any questions. Overall, I did enjoy the book and I look forward to reading more from Ms. Wylder.
I’ve read about 8 Penny Wylder books and enjoyed all but two, this being one. This was disappointing on so many levels. Even though they got their happy ending the degrading of Vivian was not love but her allowing herself to be degraded was just as disappointing. Making her wear slut clothes at home is one thing but forcing her to go out and run errands wearing them was completely wrong. He knew he was going to fire her right from the start but used her anyway. It’s almost as if this has been written by someone else.
Where can I get a boss like this? Domineering and pure Alpha, "Kodak" certainly surprises Vivianne with his plan to make her a better employee in seven days. The characters had great chemistry no the plot twist with their past was a great addition to the story. This was a great read.
I received this ARC copy of this book from the Author for an honest review. I whole heartedly recommend this book. I couldn't put it down. This book was awesome to read, it had lust, suspense, emotional trumps, love, family illness, power struggle with the hero and a HEA ending.
This was a short, fast paced, steamy read that at times felt rushed. Sadly we were only give Vivian's POV in the story. This taboo story could have been better. It was an ok read.

If you like billionaire love stories, this book may be the book for you. Perfect if you want a quick, non-challenging read. Book Description by Author: My boss controls everything I do. This was an awful parody. of the worst situations anyone could have in an office setting when you're trying to land or keep an important client or investor. Imagine a bad slap stick comedy of a secretary ruining a crucial multiple-page presentation, then showing up late, messy, and carrying the ruined and useless report into the conference to further embarrass her boss. The tragedy was more in the fact she was too stupid to think of a solution, not to mention be better prepared so such a thing couldn't have occurred in the first place. It all was so horrible I cringed. The ersatz bdsm and sex made it even more lame. Yawn. Don't waste your time on this one.
I liked reading Seven Day s With Her Boss, all about Vivian Robbins a twenty-two year old Assistant & Mr. Kodiche Lamant her boss. You see Vivian was delivering coffee to her boss when she dumped it over all over a major client presentation that is due on the conference room table five minutes ago! When Mr. Lamant calls her into the conference room and reaches for the presentation and it rips in soggy half, Vivian knows she's fired! The author wrote a story about a young girl who internalizes all her problems and then gets very sick from all the stress! Read this story and see how her boss handles her incompetence!
Another sexy, short read that have you wanting more. I liked the characters and the story but would have loved Kodiche pov. Vivian & Kodiche was hot and sexy together. It was only suppose to be 7 days that Vivian was to do anything to keep her job, but spending time together Vivian starts wanting more but is not sure what Kodiche wants. Both didn't realize that they we're connected way before Vivian joined his company and it could change everything. Another amazing read and can't wait to read another of Penny's books
That’s a great name if I dare to say so. For real it’s different and has kick behind it. In this little erotic journey he has a secretary and she is clumsy. During an important meeting she spills coffee on a presentation minutes before it is due. He’s so pissed that I knew he was going to fire her. But Kodiche is full of surprises. He commands that she has to spend one week with him for some re training. I would have loved to read some of his perspectives in the book but it was a short story so Pooh on that! Still I loved it, Penny rocks!
Phewy.... These seven days certainly make one weak!
Weak at the knees! Another beautiful yet sexy story from Penny Wylder. As usual, the emotional gauntlet is run, and our protagonists work for their HEA! I loved the Katerine tie in too. In true Penny fashion, the chracters are well developed, with engaging back stories that are alluded to throughout the plot, and they endure a bit of drama and adversity on yheir way. A great read.
Also guide to sexually harass your employee. The one thing I love about reading over the top romances and erotica is the fact that this isn't happening in real life. Because fictional possessive men are sexy/perfect and real life domineering men are insecure creepers and/or abusers. Another good read Wylder, you are definitely getting on the favorite authors list with more books like this.
I am so disappointed with this book. I have 8 books of Penny Wilder, she always deliver a great story, office stories, with the exception of the professor one...did not like this one at all! The part that he treated like a prostitute, sending her to run errands dressing like that humiliating her. I can understand that she was bringing the domineering man or she was dipping on 50 shades concept...sorry didn't worked.
I know Vivian and Kodiche had a longer history than what was represented in the book, but starting the story at the boiling point in their relationship was not compelling - it did allow for you to see the "good stuff" faster, but the without knowing their relationship prior, the whole thing felt forced.
This is a quick, steamy read. If you're looking for depth, this isn't for you. But if you're looking for a book that is basically just sex and a plot that doesn't really make sense (but who cares? That's not what you're reading for), this is for you. Just don't go into it expecting anything character driven, and you won't be disappointed.
I like books like this because it feels like you read a novel . The book was great from beginning to end and I was even hoping for a part 2. It wasn't over the top with the sex and it got to the point without making it seem like information was left out. Great read
Definitely different, more the 50 Shades type. Some spanking but no hard core. Author did a good job with quality writing and good proofreading. This bear of a man and what appears to be a meek and mild assistant click once out of the office environment. A good twist and the end. No cliffhanger, no cheating and you get a happy ending.
This story was an okay read, although not my favorite from this author. Although Vivian's personality was somewhat developed during the story, her actions were often inconsistent with her person. Kodiche's personality was never really developed and that made him quite one dimensional. I never really connected with either of them so I never became invested in their story.
