It's a television show. That's actually a book. Bobby is a human. The rest of the cast are vampires. You've never seen (or read) anything like this. Buy it now. Or forever hold your piece. Or is it peace? Forever hold your piece of peace. Much better.
Engaging enough storyline with the distinction between true vampires and the others, it made me push through the book hoping to learn more about the differences and the world/society vampires existed in. Perhaps it's in the second book, but I doubt I will be picking that one up. The biggest issue I have with this book is the pacing/flow. Right when I feel like I'm being pulled into the story, the author breaks the 4th wall and I feel disengaged. Secondly, where is the danger? He gets cornered by four vampires, but that is early on in the story. Yet, inexplicably, he returns to the same diner in which he was nearly killed?? Even after being warned of the danger??

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Conventional story told in a very different way. I appreciated the engaging internal struggle illustrated in the book and the underlying messages. Fantastic book Dan!
I gave this book five stars because I couldn't put it down. I just finished reading it and now I will wait for the next season with sadness that its over for now. Hurry and write the next one please 😁.
