Tyson Compass, as one of the famed Compass quads, is not a wizard used to living with regrets. Except for one: Grace Carter.

Grace is a healer witch he rejected many years ago. After completely disappearing from his life, she has returned, and turned his world upside down. The attraction between them flares strongly, but she has not forgotten or forgiven his callous rebuff when they were teens.

Tyson does everything he can to prove he will never hurt her again, and just when he thinks there might be a chance for them, she has to leave again. She makes him promise not to follow her - a promise he honors for as long as he can. But after almost two months with no word, he’s done waiting. He’s going to find his girl.

With a little help from his brothers, he tracks her down, only to find Grace betrayed by her family ... tortured ... hurt. His rage knows no bounds. He will do everything he can to bring her family to justice, to find out why they turned on her.

By unlocking these secrets, though, he will discover that Grace is so much more than just a healer witch. She holds a secret that could save the world of Faerie. Or destroy it.

Magical Compass is a spinoff set within the Supernatural Prison World. It's full length at 90,000 words, and is standalone with HEA. You do not need to read the Supernatural Prison trilogy first, but it will help your understanding of this world if you do.

I love Jaymin Eve's stories!
Dragon Marked -- the first book in series that precedes this series -- was the first Jaymin Eve book I read, and I fell in love with it.
I've ready every story she's written since.

The first book in this series, Broken Compass, was okay.
But reading it was like getting together with old friends.

This story is back on par with Dragon Marked -- great plot, well developed characters, and a really good reading experience.

With this story, 3 of the 4 Compass brothers are now mated.
I think the next story is Louis's, a powerful warlock, and after that is the last Compass brother.
And then what we will do???
(oh, the horror of ending a series!!!)

Last but not least

I want more, this series has been much better than I imagined. I’ve been in a trance reading these books. My husband gets mad because I don’t hear him when he’s talking to me lol. I can’t help it every book in this series has gotten my attention to the point I don’t hear anything going on around me. I definitely recommend this series.

I dont know what it was about this book, but it just wasn't grabbing me. I found myself not caring despite being really interested in the magic and Faerie connection. But I still feel like I dont know Tyson or Grace and that's not good considering this was their book.

I read the first series a few months ago and remembered liking it. Unfortunately I could not remember all the little details that are important with this story. I did appreciate the what has happened so far included at the start of the story. But since it has been so long, I couldn't get as attached to the characters. Fans of this series will enjoy it.

Great read

Another amazing edition to the compass story.
The tension between Tyson and Grace has been around for a few books now, and it all comes to a head in this book, which was an epic storyline and read, had me hanging out for more. So many twist and turns loved this story....
Can't wait for Louis and Jacob's stories..

Amazing!!!!

I have forgotten how much I love reading Jaymin's solo work. This book returns us to her Supernatrual Prison Series. World. In this installment we follow Compass brother Tyson and his soon to be mate Grace. Just like her other books Jaymin does not disappoint. Full of magic, love, adventure and some very cool new changes.

Magical Compass by Jaymin Eve a thrilling five-star read. This is a stand-alone read, but it is the second Supernatural prisons story, the story’s fall after the Supernatural Prison Trilogy, and you don’t have to have read the previous four books, but they do give a great history and depth to the world. (They are also amazing reads, so I would recommend reading them first, but if you just want to dip a toe into the world go ahead and dip away. You won’t be disappointed).
Jaymin Eve writes a great word, the Compass Quads are all great in their individually and I’ll be honest Tyson wasn’t a favourite before this story, but the romance between him and Grace is sublime, the way he accepts his mistakes were so well done and how he wins her over and shows her how much she means to him despite everything he is going through was so well written.

In the second Compass book we get to follow Tyson our lovable Wizard. I've loved reading these books and I love Grace out rejected healer who is more than what she seems. Watching Tyson and Grace's hard road to come together was fun and exciting. Especially the end of this book!

Love all the book in this series so far. Usually there is some humor in the series but it felt a bit dry/humorless (?) as compared to rest. but loved it!

Jaymin Eve is back with another engrossing instalment in her Supernatural Prison Story series with Magical Compass. Magical Compass is a romantic, action and adventure driven tale full of humour, danger and exciting bonds of family.

Tyson Compass isn’t a wizard used to living with regrets. As one of the infamous Compass Quads, Tyson has spent most of his life making tough decisions and there’s nothing he wishes he could do different….except where Grace Carter is concerned. As a teenager, Tyson rejected the healer witch and now years later, she has come back into his life and turned his world upside down. The attraction and desire Tyson feels for Grace is nothing he has experienced before and everything inside him tells him to claim her. But Grace was hurt by Tyson once before, so when she asks him for space, he reluctantly agrees. Time apart is hard and when Grace’s absence stretches, Tyson goes in search of his witch. Grace spent years trying to let go of the feelings she had for Tyson, but one moment in his presence was enough to drag up those feelings once again. Space seemed like the best plan but having been taking hostage by her own family, Grace yearns for Tyson to find her. With the help of his brothers, Tyson is excited to be closing in on Grace but the fury he experiences when he finds her, hurt and tortured, at the hands of people who should love her, knows no bounds. He vows to protect her but as he begins to unlock the truth about what Grace really is, Tyson and his witch will soon learn Grace holds the power to save the world of Faerie. Or destroy it……

Magical Compass is the latest novel in the Supernatural Prison world deftly created by Jaymin Eve and this time brings to life the romance between Compass brother Tyson and the witch Grace who has been the object of his interest for a number of novels. Personally I found Magical Compass to be another solid read. Eve once more packs a lot of adventure and excitement into the story while weaving Tyson and Grace’s romance together. Much of Magical Compass is spent seeing Tyson try to find Grace and then to help her find her missing mother while also trying to unravel the mystery of who—and what—she really is.

As always I loved seeing the previous characters all return with the growing pack as focal as ever. Jessa and Braxton and Mischa and Maximus once again return alongside their adorable babies who are so darn sweet. On the whole, I’ve really come to enjoy the closeness of these characters. I wasn’t won over in the beginning but as time as progressed I’ve come to enjoy seeing them stand alongside each other more and more with each novel.

Given that Tyson and Grace’s relationship has been a bit push and pull for a number of novels, I was pleased to see they were very much “all in” in Magical Compass. Jaymin Eve makes it clear very early on that Tyson has decided that Grace is the one for him, while Grace has always known Tyson was meant for her. I liked it. It meant there was no back and forth between them and we could instead focus on more pressing storyline arcs without all that unnecessary angst.

I was surprised by the inclusion of the four Faerie princesses to the series although I’d be lying if I didn’t admit it opens up a lot of storyline possibilities. I’m most excited for Louis’s story next, but I’m already pairing he and Jacob off. I really want to see Louis with Lizzie and Jacob with Justice---and their names go together so surely they’re meant to be!

Fun and enjoyable, Magical Compass is a well told and enjoyable supernatural read. I can’t wait to see what Jaymin Eve does next with this series and will be looking to get my hands on the next novel featuring Louis as soon as it becomes available!

I should be upset, but I’m not

I read his book in one sitting. I couldn’t put it down. I’m not to happy that I will not get to read the rest of this story soon. It was a great read. As always I enjoy the characters and the spunkiness of the girls. Awesome read.

I liked this but this series always reads weirdly for me, Sometimes the boys sound as if there 6 years old others they sound their age some of the tropes are confusing. Other than that I like it.

*** 3 STARS ***

Magical Compass is the second installment in the Supernatural Prison Story series and a spin-off of the Supernatural Prison trilogy. Even if this new series is advertised as a standalone and that you don’t need to read the previous trilogy, I HIGHLY advised you to read it first to get a better understanding of the world-building and the characters' relationship.

If you really enjoyed Broken Compass I think you will enjoy this one. However, if you had the same issue as me where the main couple, Mischa and Maximus, had no real development and they just jumped into the relationship as soon as they saw each other, you will have the same issue with Tyson and Grace in this book. However, I have to say that the plot and pace worked much better for me in this one and I was more invested in it. I just didn’t feel anything about the romance which is a pity. The plot surrounding the Faerie lands was quite good though and I really enjoyed learning more about it.

I haven’t given great ratings to this series but I have continued it because the next book is about Louis which is the character that I always wanted to read about since book 1 in the Supernatural Prison trilogy. I can’t wait to read his story and I really hope the romance works better in that one!

Your pack cannot be divided. Divided will fall. Together will soar.
Magical Compass tells the story of Tyson Compass and Grace Carter. Tyson, along with his quad brothers who are each a different species of supernatural, leads the magic users. "His quad brothers, Maximus, Braxton, and Jacob, are the vampire, shifter, and fey leaders." Grace is a healer witch and Tyson's mate. They've known each other since they were young, but it's only now that Tyson's ready to claim her as his mate. The only problem is, two months ago she asked him to give her time, he hasn't been able to find her. He's tried everything - calling friends and reaching out magically - and it's like she's disappeared. He and Jacob set off to find her. He has a feeling she's in trouble and that proves to be true.

This was a good addition to the series. I admit I enjoyed the Supernatural Prison series better than those of this spin-off (so far), but it is nice seeing each member of the pack find their mate and grow into their own.

I'll admit I wasn't as invested in the romance aspect of this story likely because Tyson and Grace found each other so early on in the book and because there wasn't too much focus on them in the first three Supernatural Prison books. However, the adventure aspect and overall plot kept me interested because their was so much going on and I honestly could not have predicted any of the things that happened! It kept me on my toes and I loved seeing the Compass quads vulnerable and at times scared of the women in their pack, it was always hilarious and those interactions will forever be my favorites! On to Louis' story!

Magic, fae, dragons, mystery, love and spice.

This book is the fifth book in the Supernatural Prison series and is full to the brim with fae, dragons and a host of new characters.
Like book four, it can be read as a standalone but I think it's better to have read the previous books to get a more in depth feel for this series.
No spoilers but if what you're after is true mate bonds, love, sex and adventures, this book has that in abundance.

The fact that this book is written by a woman and yet so sexist saddens me. Seriously one of the most sexist book out there. Tyson is gross and so are all the characters. No thank you.

It was okeyish.I dislike the tendency author have of heroines first being rejected by heroes, have them feel humiliated and hurt just so later the guy can sweep in,give some "noble" dumb excuse and are immediately forgiven. The whole situation makes girls look like lovesick dumbasses without self-esteem.
Now,the story is packed with action, everything gets skimmed over quickly, all that needs to be explained gets explained by someone at the end and whoala, very shallow story is made for our enjoyment. If you are looking for a book that will not make you feel or think but reads easily enough and have some dragon in it-you may like it.I was disappointed but it seems a pattern lately.Anyway, enjoy and leave any expectations before picking it up.

I like the different facets that Jaymin Eve gave throughout the series. Each time we go back to Faerie we learn something new and we are introduced to different races as well as we still get to see Josephine.

I like that we still get to hear about the other compasses and I am intrigued to see if a certain vampire is dragon mated.

Must read

A lot of times when an author writes books that are a take off from a main storyline , those books don't have quite what the others offered. In my opinion the takeoffs for this series are better than the originals.
