3.5 novella stars
Damn! It's a shortie but a goodie people! It's not a romance, it's not about a couple, it's about a girl finding her voice through some unconventional training. Shame and pleasure. And there is nothing wrong with that ;) Maggie is a journalist, confident in writing skill, but can't stand the sound of her own voice, knowing she should make more of an effort to build her verbal skill, she is thrown off course when her teacher causally suggests private tuition. Let's just say by the end, she found her uninhibited voice to be more pleasurable to listen to.
This may not be a long read, where there isn't a huge focus on character build or relationship build, but you do get to experience her inner turmoil at that point in time. Which was enough to introduce you to the skill of this brand new author. For a US reader there are references used that I had to think over as it is not as familiar to me, but other than that it was a great first read. Perfect to sneak in between when you need a 'lil something naughty.

Okay so she doesn't want the private tutoring, but she must attend the radio workshops the following week. And at the last workshop she will have to record her news piece in the radio booth.
She thinks to call in sick, tries to get some of her friends to stay with her since her recording will be the last one of the day. But everyone has plans and she realizes she will have to be alone with Mr. Finian.
I'm a reader of dark erotica, normally, and this short story really had the potential to turn in that direction very easily if it were a novel.
I imagine that this author could write some dark taboo stories. And I hope she gives it a whirl!
The only reason this book is a 4.6 instead of a solid 5 is because there were some (very few) spelling errors or missing words. But for a debut short, it really rocked!

Maggie is in college to become a journalist, but she only wants to write. She doesn't like appearing as a stuttering little girl, on the air or in front of the camera, who didn't know what she was talking about. That's how she perceives herself at least.
"She hated the class because it was part of her Broadcast Journalism module. She hated the sound of her voice and she hated how she looked on camera. Radio journalism was of no interest to her, a true writer at heart."
Mr. Finian is the seminar tutor, and a good looking one to boot. He is young for an academic, early 30's, and while Maggie found him attractive, she also found it really hard to like him because of the subject he was teaching.
Maggie has her usual bored expression, she doodles, plays with her phone, anything to get through the class. Until suddenly he's looking right at her. Awkward!
As class ends, he wants to speak to her.
Well, let me think about this for a half a second... Hell yes! I'd be more than happy to take some private time with Mr. Finian! But Maggie isn't as keen on the idea. She just wants out of there, like two seconds ago!
"But if, let's say, you wanted some private tuition, I would be happy to give you some...."

I enjoyed reading this with my morning coffee. It's short, (well, that's why it's called a short story right?), to the point, and erotic. So if it's a quick read with your coffee, over your lunch break, or before bed, then this book fits the bill.Best part of waking up? Is sexy in my cup... errr book!

Having already read and loved the author's second book Soaking in the Cure, I had pretty high expectations from this book. Though I loved this book a bit less than the second one but still it was a quite enjoyable read.
Maggie is a shy girl who loves journalism but only wants to do print stories because she doesn't like the way she sounded. She had a bit of similarity with me so I felt Maggi's character to be quite relatable and definitely likeable.
Mr Finian's character is also good. I loved his unconventional way of teaching.
Been a erotic story it has sex scenes but that is not everything this novel is comprised off. I think that is what I like about this author's erotic stories, they don't only have steamy scenes but also have a interesting storyline.

Although the subject matter in this short erotic story is straddling the line between dubious consent and submissive, it still manages to pack quite a scintillating punch into very few pages. There are a few grammatical and spelling errors but it doesn’t take anything away from this risque teacher/student fantasy. It's naughty and forbidden so you can be sure I thoroughly enjoyed it.
If you're searching for something quick and dirty and stimulating, which is the perfect ingredients for an erotic short story then you certainly want to start with Anna Viola-Peg's new Lorem University series which promises to be a fun and thrilling little series.

While this novella wasn't what i would usually read it was very well written. It kept my attention the entire read and was very descriptive. I don't often read novellas and did wish it was a little longer.

I love the idea and setting the author is proposing. In this story, the main character is a timid journalism student who happens to be attracted to her teacher but is more worried about failing the speaking part of her course due to her shyness.
She always avoids her sexy but progressive professor when he offers private tutoring but eventually he forces her to take private lessons which help her find her speaking voice and confidence.
I use FORCE deliberately and WARN that this is a story containing Non-consent or Dubious Consent so please skip this one if the content is not for you.
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. It is a short read but I look forward to reading more from the Lorem University universe.

This is an interesting taboo short where a teacher and student have quick hot sex in the classroom. This reads like an erotic chapter that has been plucked out of a book, with an intro added on.
From a purely smut/ erotic standpoint, it's well done. The sex is hot. The teacher is dominant and commanding. He's not sweet about it and there are no emotions. This is raw lust and meeting of his carnal needs. It starts and ends abruptly, which can add to the hotness level.
For my personal tastes, I like a little more insight into the characters' make up and emotions. I was also surprised that it's non-con (or questionable at best). It's not a major issue for me, but I'm not sure the book blurb is a good representation of the story.

A sexy short story exploring the forbidden desire between a teacher and his student. And that was what this was. It's a scene... a scene from a book I would love to read. I met the author at the EZ and this is her debut. All and all I enjoyed this novella and if/when Maggie's sexcapades with her professor get a continuation, I would surely want to read it. Mr Finian *did* teach Maggie an unconventional lesson. ;-) With any other student, what Mr Finian did to Maggie could have easily been called rape. Hence the 'the famous taboo fantasy' remark, I suppose?! I loved it!

I dont normally really get into short stories. I tend to like getting to know characters. However, for erotica it totally works. I find I normally get bored reading erotica because it becomes so tedious. This however was HOT!! Also may I praise the writer for not shoving the words "pussy and cock" down our throats like most do in erotica. Seriously, I loved this short story. Defiantly my cup of tea.

I'm mostly into full length books, but will read a short story on the odd occasion. I wasn't sure what to expect. It's different subject matter. The author has her own style, so it's not a typical read. The story held my attention the whole time. I did enjoy the way it all panned out, but I was hoping for it to be a little hotter. I voluntarily read and reviewed.

Mr Finian was famous for his strange teaching methods in the department. The other academics complimented him on his ability to pull students from barely passing to excelling.
So had he just been fucking them all? Maggie was curious to find out.
