Dracones Thaniel tells us the story of our favorite were-leopard and exposes us to the horrible tragedies he experienced throughout his life.  Thaniel is shy, and has had a horrible past that he doesn't like to talk about, but it's time for us to finally see what our sweet were-kitty is hiding, and how true love can help him heal.

As a self proclaimed Dracones Enthusiast, this book tore me in half, ripped me into quarters, and then shredded me into tiny itty bitty pieces that I thought were beyond repair. Thaniel will nudge his way into your heart without you even knowing he did it. You will cry for him, laugh with him, want to fight for him, and want to be his reason to go on.  You will want to hunt down those that have hurt him, and celebrate with him when he makes major milestones with his new family.

Sheri-Lynn has done such a fantastic job with Thaniel's growth and development in this book. The other characters we know and love are still there, but more than ever, this is Thaniel's chance to shine. I could not have picked a better time to learn his story, and it fits perfectly with the rest of the series.

Amazing! This is one of the most heart-wrenching stories I've ever read. Thaniel is such an amazing and pure character. He is the perfect balance of perfection and flaws, beauty and scars. His relationship with Tierney and Jax certainly evolved in a way I wasn't expecting but, am so thrilled by. Sam and Hellfire, Goldy and Isoul, Genna and Caden, and many more character hold a place in my heart that will always be theirs. Sheri has once again created an amazing story. One that touches you and evokes so many different emotions you don't know whether to laugh, cry, yell or cheer for the characters. Sometime you do them all at once. I'm am so seriously addicted to this series and can not wait for Dracones Rogue to be released. Well done, Sheri!

Were-leopard Thaniel has his story to tell. Life on the streets and a recently turned were do not make a good combination. Betrayed by those who should love him unconditionally, betrayed by the system, and betrayed by those he thought he could count on. Moving from place to place with Real provided protection, that is until Real turned him over to the werewolves. An uncomfortable situation to a living hell. Rescued by Tierney, Jax and Sami and given the greatest dream of a lifetime. Will Thaniel ever learn to trust? I enjoyed reading Thaniel's heartbreaking point of view. Seeing him in the other books really puts his character into perspective.

What an amazing read! Thaniel's story makes you angry at how he's been treated; sad at how things keep happening to him, and happy how the characters all come together. Another great read from Sheri-Lynn!

What a fantastic story of Thaniel's life, I was so glad that they all finally realised that they all belonged together. Will this open the door to other multiple partner relationships?

Enough Time to Heal ?

This book centers around Thaniel, his abandonment, his abuse, and then latter on a possibility of happiness.

Thaniel has had a very difficult life but is later rescued by Jax and Tierney.

He still has a ways to go before he can truly be free and healed but he is on the mend.

The story line was a bit darker than the rest of the series, making it an emotional intense read.

Overall, an interesting read but I missed the "warning label" on the story,

and, I do not like multiple partners, menage in books that are not under the erotica genre.

I don't like threesomes but it would have made more sense to me if Thaniel

would have found mates in another couple, a new pair, new characters,

instead of the couple that he ends up mating.

And, I also don't like dubious or forced or rather manipulated sex.

I felt as though Thaniel was being taken advantage even further by mating too soon.

Thaniel has just been saved, he was abused and not in the right frame of mind to bond with anyone.

His story of healing and bonding would have been better spread out over another book or two.

While I disliked some of the scenes and situations in this book, I'm interested in reading the next book in the series.

OMG this was such a deep heartfelt story! Too often in real life we see, or hear of the impact that the selfishness and cruelty of adults on their children can cause. Never have I seen it up close, but Ms. Marean did a fantastic job of writing the heartbreaking and chilling story of one such child.

Thaniel lived the pain of watching a loving father abandon him on his 4th birthday and the blame and hatred that his mother showered upon him until she died when he was 8 years old of an overdose. He lived through that, abusive foster homes and even survived hunger and abuse on the streets. Through all this he never lost his humanity and a thirst for love pushed him into the arms of a scheming werecat, that forever changed his life.

Everyone he ever loved either abandoned, or hurt him, which turned him more distrustful each day to point where even the trustworthy were strangers to him. Will Tierny and Jax be able to win the trust and love of the very damaged Thaniel, or will he forever live like the beast that girl turned him into that day?

I cried tears of sadness, pain, hope and happiness. Man did I cry!

There is always hope that the cruelty of some parents will not rub off on their children and that they will find love when they least expect it.

Wow! Just wow! I devoured this hauntingly beautiful, emotional roller-coaster ride in the addictive & fascinating world of Dracones! Another totally unique edge-of-your-seat story with phenomenal attention to detail, fantastic, witty dialogue with well-defined characters easy to relate to, make this a real page-turner! From the first story in this world, to this latest book, I was glued to my seat never wanting to stop & have been addicted ever since and always craving more! This is a multi-genre PNR world with something for every fan of fiction :) From drama- dark and raw to, romance, and a sweet, polyamorous menage born of true innocent love, no matter the gender, suspense, fantasy, sci-fi, mystery, magic, shifters and more. I highly recommend this to all adults 18+ and cannot wait for the next book from Ms. Marean!

Oh My Gods what a Phenomenal book! Hell it is a phenomenal series by Sheri-Lynn Marean. They are so well-written and such a great read. And such a new perspective on dragon kind and the world were of super naturals. I am so ready or the next book.
This book is all the characters in the series. But this center on Thaniel, the troubled and wonderful man that he is. This book needs a warning with it though. I box of tissues needed. If you get emotional at sappy movies, this story will get you. As this is Thaniel’s whole story. I so wanted to kill his dad when this book started then his mom. But as things went I could see that it was all of fates plans. I have to say I kind saw who his mates would be but man I felt so much for this young man. I love how he found piece in food and fixing it for others. There was a big shock in store for them when Hellfire and Sami found help for the leopard girl. But I have to say these books just keep getting better. Hope the next is out soon.
Now before I ruin this for you I will leave off here. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. If you do like this book, please consider leaving a review. The Authors really like it when you do; they value your opinions too

I've really enjoyed the Dracones series. It's books have become one of my "must get as soon as published" group. They've all been good. This book, however, is far more. It's both gut wrenching and great. I'm not going to summarize as the blurb does so well enough (and I don't want to spoil anything), but seeing how poor Thaniel - a truly wonderful, complex, layered, character - became who he is is terribly sad and upsetting. It adds poignancy to his relationship with Jax and Tierney and makes what they did be much more powerful (how's that for vagueness: I'm really trying not to give anything away here). Betrayal, altruism, friendship, abandonment and real love. All of these are somehow covered in this wonderful book. All in one very well written powerfully plotted book with characters those who have followed this series have learned to love. This book can be read as a stand alone (which is why I've tried not to spoil things for new readers which are well known about Thaniel from prior books), but I strongly recommend reading the prior books first. Not only because they're truly excellent but because seeing what Thaniel becomes adds power to the impact of this story. As for the story itself, whether stand alone or as most recent in the series, I highly recommend it.

I received this book in exchange for a review. I would rate this book more like a 3.5.

This book, obviously, focuses on Thaniel and the path that led him to the Dracones clan. Surprisingly, this book does jump around from character to character. The first half was all of the major events from previous books in his point of view. We learn about his childhood, family and how he finally became one with his leopard. There were a few twists towards the end of the book which was unexpected.

While I did enjoy this book there was too much time spent focusing on past events from his point of view. There was also a mini story that I thought were unnecessary, i.e. the human neighbor story. But, maybe this will prove more importance in the future. The way that Thaniel's story was concluded might rub some people the wrong way so proceed with caution. I'm glad he found his place in the makeshift clan. Thaniel is a good addition to the series and left me wanting to know more about their world.

Random Side Note: I think that they should invest in an in house therapist with all of the baggage everyone has.

Sheri-Lynn Marean's Dracones series is enveloping. The books are heart pounding, thrilling reads. Each could be a standalone. But oh, sooo much more for the reader as a series. Start with any one and you will be compelled to consume the others!!! The book, Dracones Thaniel not only tells Thaniel's story but also includes the storylines from the past books. All revolving around...Christmas time. Thaniel has had a long, abused and lonely existence. Without choice and brutally turned into a wereleopard. Locked away he is rescued by Dracones, Sami, Jax, and Trieney. For thousand years evil Druids called Ilyium have been causing destruction and tyranny. Across multi realms, involving supernaturals and humans. Time for a stand!!! Page turning details. Compelling, heart pounding, heartbreaking, thrilling action, unpredictable twists and turns. Love and romance!!! Set time aside and be ready cause reading the other books will be a need. Glad this is not the end of a glorious tale... I received this book as an ARC. I am voluntarily posting this review. Looking forward to more of this adventure!!!

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Dracones Thaniel by Sheri-Lynn Marean is Book 5 in the Dark Dragon series. I Loved this book! I have been addicted to this series since I began reading it and have felt a strong pull towards Thaniel's story from the start. I think Thaniel is my favorite story in the series. I loved that you get a look at events that have happened in the previous books and see them from a different perspective (Spoiler Alert... If you haven't read the series in order, there are major Spoilers in Thaniel). While it may seem repetitive to some, I thought that telling the story in this manner was important to the telling of Thaniel's story and the continuation of the overall storyline. There is so much emotion packed into this book, I cried like a baby! So, don't forget to grab a box of tissues when you sit down to read this one. The Dracones series has earned a spot on my Keeper Shelf with it's wonderful world building, creative storyline and addictively loveable characters. This is a Mature Readers Only read with scorching chemistry and sexy shifters.

Pain, sorrow, intense, intriguing, alluring, captivating. . . . Emotional ride from start to finish. You get so much with the story of Thaniel.

Thaniel has had a life that one could not imagine on their worst day. He has survived so much and consumed so much more with the way that his life has progressed to. We have had a peek at Thaniel now we get to so much more of him and his story. What drives him, moves him, consumes him.

I believe that if you read these books out of series order you would be missing something that makes the building blocks to this story so impactful with each new read and addition to the series. Marean shows the growth of the world she created and the characters that have captivated out minds, hearts, and souls. This read gives you so love, romance, friendship, alliances, complications, twist & turns. This was a recap and a continuation. We see things from Thaniel POV for some of the previous books.

I just found more that have me wanting to continue forward with this series.

OMG this was so emotionally riveting. My heart broke for Thaniel abandoned by his father and abused by his mother and others, bitten by someone he thought was a friend He grew up in fear and thought he was a monster until Tierney, Jax and Sami found him and rescued him. All Thaniel wanted was to be loved but couldn't quite accept and believe in it when he found it.

I wasn't expecting who Thaniel would love and mate but it fit him well and i was so happy for him. I hope we hear more about Real who I expect might be Zander's friend Gabriel. There are so many irons being tended in this series and I love it. I cannot wait for Soroyan's story and of course I hope Kyrian is reunited with his missing son Toren.

I really encourage all of you paranormal fans out there to give this series a whirl I think you will be glad you did. I voluntarily read an advance copy and wish I could own it as well but lack the finances to do so.

Thaniel has had a hard life. Abandoned by his father aged 4. Abused by his mother who blamed him for his fathers leaving. Bounced around foster homes and on the streets before he was 20. Then he was bitten. And the crap really hit the fan!

Rescued by Jax and Tierney after being held prisoner by the werewolves who were supposed to help him for four months, Thaniel must learn to not only embrace being a were leopard but also embrace it if he is to survive the supernatural world around him and its players who are trying to claim him while also allowing himself to trust and ultimately love.

This is a wonderful book. You cant help have your heart weep for the horrors endured by Thaniel by human monsters. Before the real ones come into play. And even while your heart breaks you are proud of the strength he possesses. The compassion. Wonderfully written. And a christmas happy ending. Because good things should happen at christmas shouldn't they?

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. If you are sensitive in nature, be sure to keep the box of facial tissue or Kleenex close by because the story is not only powerful, but gut wrenching. This book follows the other books of the series. If you read it as a stand alone, you will not be able to follow well. The story is about Thaniel, a were-leopard who was rescued by the dracones. Here, we see his life story, one of hardship, of pain, misery and suffering. Fortunately, he does end up having a happy life in this series, thank the Gods. As a pure soul, it is hard to see where he came from and how he lived. All I wanted to do was hurt those who hurt him during my reading of this book. I am glad that he found happiness finally, with his new family and friends, which truly shows that your family is the people you choose to have as such, not the people you were born with. This book is a page turner that will mark you for life.

Thaniel was the latest in the Dracones series that I've had the joy of reading by the amazing Sheri-Lynn Marean. For the first time in the series I will say that this book was kind of hard in the BEGINNING for me to get through, I felt it was choppy and didn't flow as smoothly at first. I get that since this is his book so we obviously need his point of view and we need that history to understand his background but in the beginning I feel it took too much away from what a beautiful story it turned out to be in the end. The plot twists to Thaniel finding his HEA was amazingly written, though I wished we could have had some more insight in some of the private conversations that took place. In the end Ms. Marean is very good at keeping you on your toes with her writing, she keeps you craving more everytime. The dracones series is amazing for anyone interested in a shifter series and I continue looking forward to her next project.

In this installment we get to learn about Thaniel's heartbreaking childhood and all that entailed. My heart absolutely broke for the small child Thaniel was. My goodness how can any mother be so cruel.
All I wanted to do was jump in there and hurt her the way she hurt her son. I am so glad he found Real to help him.
I love how he has been found by Tierney, Sami and Jax and how much they love him and it just breaks my heart that he feels he can't trust the feelings he has.

I am so happy Tierney and Jax have taken Thaniel as their mate. They adore him and love him so very much it's exactly what he needs to feel the love and security he has benn sorely missing all his life.
Then he gets to meet his father and find out he has a brother. Then to find out the man is his uncle and not his father. Wow lots of twists and turns in this one. I wonder if Tierney will get pregnant and if so what kind of child will it be>

I cannot wait for the next installment.

YAY Thaniel's story! And it wasn't what I expected at all! At a young age Thaniel's father leaves his mother and that sets off a chain of events that leaves Thaniel on the streets. One night he meets someone who's been watching him and that changes his life forever. When Thaniel is recued by Tierney and Jax he learns to control his leopard and more importantly he finds out what it means to be loved again.

I LOVE this series and this story was amazing! You get to know about Thaniel and why he's the way he is in the first books. Again you get surprise after surprise and a love story that is totally unexpected. When you read this leave time because you won't be able to put it down and be prepared to shed a few tears, laugh some and just have a big smile on your face - at least I did.

I received an ARC of this book.

This was my favorite of the series so far, but I knew it would be. I've always had a special place in my heart for the underdog, the neglected or abused, the outcast or shunned...so Thaniel was one of my favourite characters instantly and I hoped very much that he would find all that he had been looking for throughout his short life.

If you've read the other books then you will definitely want to read this one, there is much that is resolved and still very much left to be said in the world(s) of these characters. This book was a bit longer but I prefer longer books, so it was a nice read for me. There are some things I would change in regard to how some things are written (how some sentences are started) but that's a stylistic choice of the author and it hasn't dampened my curiosity of wanting to see where the story goes.

Thaniel!! I was ecstatic when this book came out. He is such an incredible character throughout the series and i loved him from the start. For him to have his own story told was amazing and much needed. I was so heart broken to see that he had such a horrible childhood. He deserved better. Throughout the books in this series, all i wanted to do was love and protect him. Just like Tierney, Jax and Sam do. I don't like putting spoilers in my reviews but... omg the crazy twists that occur blew my mind! Quite a few times i wished i could reach into the book and ring a few necks! grrrrr, After all was said and done, wow. I'm glad he got the closure he needed as far as his life goes in the past and plus the beauty of his future. Which of course came with a little twist of its own. Amazing series and i just love the author! I hope she decides to write more books for the characters.

This is the most emotional book in the series up till now. I loved how the shy and sweet Thaniel finally blossoms as he finds that all is not bad in the world. After experiencing betrayal and pain on a daily basis, the timid beautiful were-leopard had all but given up on life. Thankfully there are good people too.
This book really got to me, the quiet pain and sorrow. I just wanted to hold him and whisper that all will be well. The narrative is from Thaniel's perspective and answers some of the questions that were left open in the previous tales.
But this book is not all love and friendliness. It starts off very dark and painful, there is a lot of intrigue and many, many colorful characters. Read and remember who is who. I have the idea that we will be seeing a lot more of all these wonderful beings. I can't wait to see how our favorite kitty grows in the books to come.

I have loved every book in this series thus far, and i adore this one. It made me weep for poor Thaniel, that he suffered so much but managed to find solece and love in the end. He deserved it so much, and with two more then understanding people no less! I cannot wait for the next book! I cant wait to have more of my questions answered, because they keep cropping up, but am happy to have a good number of them answered already! Don't stop writing! I get the sense Miss Marean is only just getting warmed up! Cant wait for the next installment! Worth every moment! Highly recommended read!

This is the story of Thaniel, it is not pretty, it is not easy to read.
Homeless and abused, Thaniel trusted the wrong person. Now changed into a " monster" he must come to terms with what he has become, without becoming the "monster" he thinks he is.
Can he trust again? the only ones who can help him understand and accept what he has become? To make himself more than just what he is?
I think this is the best book in the series yet. Heartbreaking, deep yet so enjoyable to read.
Cannot wait to read the next one...

Sheri-Lynn has hit it out of the ball field. She has the ability to make you see her characters. They are well fleshed out in a small amount of pages. You can feel Thaniel's pain and fear of being unlovable.
This book explains how everyone connects with everyone else. Jax, Sami ,Tierney and Zander collect both mates and allies in their fight with evil..It ends, fittingly, at Xmas with most of their problems solved.
I found myself crying at parts of his story and was so grateful for the ending.

The story we have all been waiting for, Thaniel's story is heartbreaking, pain filled, gut churning, intense and inspiring. When we first met Thaniel, we were intrigued by his past and the more we got to know about him, the more we fell in love with him. His past is so tragic that it's a wonder he can even still function.

This story is so well written and, I think because we already love Thaniel, the best one yet. An inspiring story of overcoming your past and embracing your future.

I received an ARC of Dracones Thaniel and this is my honest review.

I am volunteering to leave a review of this ARC book. Sheri-Lynn has written an amazing fantasy romance series. This book concentrated on Thaniel's story. I loved how Ms. Marean takes us back to previous scenes but through Thaniel's eyes. After everything Thaniel has been through, you would think he would be mean, surly, hard to get along with. Just the opposite he is sweet, loving, and gentle. I loved Thaniel, and am so pleased that he has found a family to love and care for him. Cannot wait, as for the other books, to read the next book in the series.

Thaniel's Story. 🐈Peanut Found.

What an emotional roller coaster ride, it made me cry.
This is by far my favourite Bk in this series to date and am 100% in agreement with all the well earned 5 star review's.
Thank you Sheri-Lynn Marean, can't wait for my next foray into the world of the Dracone's, Were's, Phoenix's and all manner of character's within, what has become a must read series.

Lol, For those's in the know.
Has anyone thought that maybe Genna is channeling a little of Acheron's Simi? 😍
