Maureen was one of my favourite characters in Unraveled and I love it when a shy and mousy character finds her wings and becomes a confident, Magnificent Mo. Someone that you always knew was hidden underneath. The metamorphosis of Maureen was beautiful and thoroughly entertaining, the road isn't paved in gold, but it is the bumps, twists and turns that give her that confidence, for once, to go out and grab what she wants with both hands.

Adored this book.

"You are not Mousy Maureen—you are Magnificent Mo, and you have the outfit to prove it. Get up here and be the woman you were meant to be. You are gorgeous, smart, and like totally nerdy-cool in a good way."

Mo was one of my favorite characters from Unraveled, and I was SO happy and excited to see her get her own book. And, it did not disappoint! She was even more quirky, adorable and lovable in her own story, as she was in Unraveled. I loved watching Mo transform into an even more fabulous version of herself, gain confidence and become more assertive but still retain her down-to-earth, affable personality. She encounters some bumps along her journey to love, but she is resilient and takes her fate into her own hands and comes out all-the-better for it.

As with the first book, the plot was fast-paced, flowed smoothly and cohesively and easily kept my attention throughout. The characters were interesting and had substance and depth. It was also great to "catch up" with some characters from the first book.

Although this is the second book in the series, this story can successfully function as a satisfying and intriguing stand alone. But, you will enjoy it even more, if you have read the first book prior to the second. I can't wait for the next installment about these Jerseylicious gals!

*I received a complimentary ARC of this book in order to read and provide a voluntary, unbiased and honest review, should I choose to do so.

Unstoppable follows the story of Maureen as she discovers that “Mousy Maureen” isn’t so mousy after all. It is a story that mixes self-discovery, intrigue, and love into one fun package.

Lisa-Marie Cabrelli easily weaves all facets of the book together. Even after Maureen arrives in the Bahamas, she still finds a way to keep us from forgetting her friends back in New Jersey. She writes a fun tale that will keep you both pulling for true love and on your toes wondering what will happen next.

While reading Unraveled will give you a head start into understanding the various characters in this story, it is not essential to your enjoyment of Unstoppable. However, I would encourage you to pick up a copy of both books now if you have not read the first one. I understand that third installment in this series is already in progress and can hardly wait to see where it will take us.

Mousy Maureen to Magnificent Mo to ....

Maureen finally finds herself and her soulmate. It was an amazing journey watching Maureen try to reinvent herself when all she needed was confidence and belief in herself. I love books like this that continues from a previous book but with the emphasis on a different character. This story kept me interested. I wanted to find out what was going on with everyone, Maureen, Stephan, Brad, Nandita. Looking forward to reading the next book.

Who is Indian nationality.there is an awful lot going on. It also, has some out loud laughs and a lot of twists and turns.
I read and reviewed honestly an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Maureen decides to stop being the shy Mo and become the unstoppable Mo

Maureen has let everyone run over her all her life and she is tired of it. With the help of her best girls she gets a makeover, new wardrobe and some advice from the latest Cosmo magazine and takes the wild invite to the Bahamas for two week with the sexy friend of one of the girls fiancé. The Mighty Mo has arrived, sort of. Sometimes.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review in addition to purchasing a copy.

First, even though this is the second book in a series, this works as a stand alone, though having read this I now want to read the whole series.
Oh how the heroine resonates with me, I love Maureen and it was fun to tag along on her journey to become a more magnificent version of herself. The characters were engaging and the mystery added greater depth to character dynamics that lead to a fun and satisfying conclusion. Again, I am super excited to go back and read the first book and whatever comes next.

I am so happy I discovered Lisa Marie Cabrelli's books! I got an early copy of the story but I highly recommend you buy this book. Unstoppable is just as good as Unravelled, the first book in the Jersey Girls series, imo. Her insight into her characters' struggles to discern who they are and what their responsibility is in relation to others, (i.e. Parents, siblings, partners, co-workers, friends) is sensitive, fun and engaging. The change that Maureen undergoes from the first to the second half of the book is amazing. She and Nandita both have a wake-up call about putting their trust in the advice of a "friend" vs trusting in themselves and their own instincts about what is right for them. Stephen also learns to trust his heart and not to let his past poor judgment dissuade him from taking a chance on love. This book has humor and heart as well as some anxious moments and plenty of chemistry.

Unstoppable was delightful. Maurene breaks up with Phil and thinks her boss, Satish, is going to recommend she be given a secretarial position instead of heading up a new project at their company. In a snit, she quits her job and inserts herself into an invitation to go to the Bahamas and be on a yacht with a dreamy business associate of her friend's husband. Although she really knows nothing about him, she is convinced he is the man for her and her happily ever after. When Mo gets to the Bahamas, nothing is quite as expected, including a grumpy but handsome first mate. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, her dream guy has little time or inclination for Mo. And then more visitors come...

Mo describes herself as Mousey Maureen, but to me she is very brave to put herself out there when she doesn't even know anyone! She gets upset easily, but also gets over it just as fast. She really is an amazing person and one I would love to have as a friend. She deserves a couple weeks in the Bahamas-just wish parts of it were a little less traumatic for her!

As in most series, you need to read the first book, Unraveled, in order to meet the main characters and learn how a sweet girl like Mo ever got in this awkward position to begin with! So if you haven't read Unraveled, stop and grab a copy right now. Read it! Then read Unstoppable! You will be so glad you have read the books in order, and soon you will be like me-waiting for the author to hurry up and finish the third book in the series. So much more to read about! I can't wait.

3,5-4 stars.
A nice romance story which thwarts your expectations more than once.
"Mousy Maureen" tries to change herself to become "Magnificent Mo" in the hope of seducing the millionaire Brad. She goes on an adventure to the Bahamas, where she will realize that nothing is what it seems to be and that being yourself is the most important thing to find love.
A little epilogue would have great though, to have a little look on the characters' future.

Maureen is working, not very happily, at Telco in Hoboken, NJ, when her boyfriend Phil, who also works at Telco, dumps her.

She's determined to shed her Mousy Maureen image, and make herself over into Magnificent Mo. With some help from her best friends, Sally and Claire, she gets herself set to go into the office Monday morning. She'll confront her boss (and Claire's significant other), Satish, and demand a better assignment.

But before her meeting with Satish, she overhears secretaries talking int the ladies' room, and becomes convinced he's going to demote her, assign her to be scretary for the hated Ron. So she goes to Satish and, after a few minutes of talking at cross-purposes, she quits.

Magnificent Mo has no job, and she still feels like Mousy Maureen. Sally sets up a dinner in which the goal is that Maureen will meet Brad, an art collector who's a client of her boyfriend Tod. Brad is obviously a catch, right?

And it's not long before Maureen is flying south to the Bahamas to spend a two-week vacation on Brad's yacht which apparently isn't really Brad's. There's Brad and his questionable business associates. There's the "junior captain" who's angry about something. There's the "boat guy" who seems to have a lot to say about the boat, and Ginny, deckhand and the boat guy's niece. There's the yacht's cook, who seem to think "the boss" is someone other than either the captain, or who Brad thinks is the owner of the yacht

All this is before Satish's younger sister Satish shows up with a friend who is not setting an example of good judgment and restraint.

It's all a little silly, but it's sweet, too, and Maureen finds her way through the Scylla and Charybdis of Mousy Maureen and the fake "Magnificent Mo" to find her true self. The "boat guy" has to find his true self, too. Overall, it's light and fun, an enjoyable if not very deep read..

I received a free electronic galley of this book from the publisher, and am reviewing it voluntarily.

I am voluntarily reviewing Unstoppable by Lisa-Marie Cabrelli for receiving an Advanced Reader Copy.

OMG. Watching Maureen go from Mousy Maureen to Magnificent Mo and then to just Maureen was hilarious. While she was acting as Mo she goes on vacation with Brad who is a jerk. She meets and gets to know Stephen as he is working on the yacht but is really on vacation helping his friend/detective Don. When Brad gets paranoid he kicks Maureen off the boat and Stephan takes her to a mansion that he says the owner won't mind if she stays because they never use the place anyway. This will allow her to continue her vacation and spend time with Stephen and also figure out who she really is and what she wants to do with her life. What will happen with her and Stephen at the end of her vacation? Will they call it a vacation fling or will they try to make the long distance thing work?

Another great book by Lisa-Marie. Can't wait for more in this series.

A light fun cozy romance you can't put down.

Also being a Jersey transplant since I have retired to FL, I loved the Jersey references since I knew all the ones the author included in the story. I still have some family in Hoboken! I absolutely couldn't put the book down. Poor self-deprecating Maureen. All her best friends want for her is for her to come out of her shell and become Mighty Mo. This story is a real portrayal of personality and I loved the evolution of the main character! Will she find someone to help her find herself; will she find true love when she goes to the Bahamas through a very backward invite and the encouragement of her friends? I love the Jersey Girl series! This is a must read, light cozy romance with some humor. At my request, I received and ARC copy of this book. I voluntarily offer this opinion.

A journey of self discovery as Maureen experiences another disappointment based on rumours and half truths. When Mousy Maureen decides to become Magnificent Mo, she embarks on an adventure that takes her into unchartered territory. One of the problems a person finds when they try to reinvent themselves, is that they can't completely leave their true selves behind. In Maureen's case this proves to be an advantage as she learns to be herself and gains confidence along the way. I could identify with Maureen in so many ways and like her, I looked for love in all the wrong places. Fortunately, like Maureen, I found the one I was looking for, who gave me the courage to be myself. Maureen grows into herself and when things get really stressed out, she becomes a determined young lady who will go to any lengths to do what is right. An enjoyable, lighthearted read with some suspense. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

This is the second book of The Jersey Girls by the excellent writer Lisa-Marie Cabrelli, it follows on from Unravelled with some of the same characters, contains no cliffhanger.

Mousy Maureen has made mistakes. First, she quits her job after a misunderstanding at work, and then she accepts a holiday on a yacht in the Bahamas that the Angelic Brad really offered to Maureen's boss's teenage sister. Maureen's plan is to become Magnificent Mo and win Brad the millionaire. Except that Brad is never on the yacht, he's always away wheeling and dealing, never seen and he's definitely not angelic. How does Maureen manage all alone on a luxurious yacht? She is entertained by Steven, the boat guy, who is not what he seems, in fact none of the crew is. Follow Maureen's transformation into Magnificent Mo and find out what is really happening on the Lauren Belle.

This is the first book I have read by Lisa-Marie Cabrelli. I enjoyed the plot of this story. Maureen is trying to discover who she is and does not have a lot of confidence in herself. It was interesting to see her venture out onto a vacation to the Bahamas to visit a guy named Brad. While she is there she learns a lot about herself and Brad. There are a few twists and surprises to this story too. I cannot wait to read another book by this author. I did receive an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write a review.

A fun and easy read that hooked me quickly and kept me entertained and intrigued from beginning to end with captivating characters and a romantic adventure that includes a trip to the Bahamas and self-discovery. Once I started reading, I couldn't turn the pages fast enough to see what would happen next. I really liked Maureen and her dynamic with the other characters, especially Stephen. I received an advance reader's copy of the book and liked it so much, I purchased a copy so I can enjoy it again.

I received an ARC of this book. I voluntarily chose to review this book. It wasn't exactly what I thought it would be, but I enjoyed the story. It is well written. This was also my first book by Lisa-Marie Cabrelli, I look forward to the next book. I found myself laughing out loud in places. This one is worth your time and effort. This was a change from all the dark romance stories that are out these days.

Overall, I did enjoy the story. It did take a bit to get into and to really appreciate Maureen. She's a bit flighty, emotional, naive and maybe too trusting. The journey she takes helps her grow and dig deep into herself. Her friends are a bit pushy, especially Sally, who can come off as rude and walks all over Maureen. I loved Stephen as soon as we meet him. He's overly grumpy with good reason and his story was very honest. There was a lot going on with other characters, and some mystery that kept me on my toes. I have not read the first book and that might have helped me connect to some of the other characters.

I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This book is #2 in The Jersery Girls series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading this series in order.

Maureen suffers from low self-esteem. She has allowed men to bully her in the past. Now she is trying to get to know Brad. Along the way she meets Stephen. One makes the other man look like paste. What's a girl to do?

This story was a bit of a triangle. But only a bit. You come to see who is really the worthy beau pretty quickly. What I found nice to read was the banter, the mystery, the travel and a bit of heat. This was a fun and witty read.

A Review of Unstoppable by Lisa-Marie Cabrelli

Mousy to Bold - 4 stars

This was the first book I've had the pleasure of reading by Ms. Cabrelli. I have to say it is not my usual type of book - I'm usually a cover snob, meaning that the cover will usually be what first draws me to a new book, but this was a free read so I decided to give it a try. Once I got started reading it, I could hardly put it down. It is full of witty banter between the characters of Maureen, Claire and Sally and I loved their dynamics. With all the mentions of this Nick guy, I'm thinking I need to go find the first book in this series and read it, since I get the feeling that he played a big role in that book. Overall, a very interesting storyline. My biggest pet peeve has to do with grammatical issues - - missing words, etc., which accounts for the lower rating.

Unstoppable by Lisa Marie Cabrelli was a fun and interesting read. I was interested in the story when it first began but became more involved very quickly as the plot twisted in ways I didn't expect. I found myself wondering what the characters were going to do next and what was going to happen. The book had a lot more mystery and intrigue than I first thought, and I truly enjoyed reading it.
