**Content Warning: If you are opposed to former sailors that swear like they are supposed to along with the women they are with, then this is not the book for you. If you don’t like hot and steamy sex scenes, then I suggest you move on by. But if you are willing to take a chance the world of the NAC & Holly Group might surprise and delight you. This book does contain explicit love scenes, naughty language, and lots of sexy secrets. Intended for mature audiences.

Dalton Hayes, Enforcer for The Alpha Team, doesn’t like change. Any part of it, he is happy with the status quo. His focus is clear that way, protect the Team at all costs as well as his people. But that isn’t how life works and when the fates decide to throw a few wrenches in his path he has no choice but to accept them. For the first time in his life his loyalty is questioned. Does he go with his heart or with his head?

Emma Connors has never had an easy life. She was placed in foster care as an infant and had to fight for everything she ever had. When an opportunity for a better life came her way, she jumped at the chance choosing to ignore any signs it might not be exactly what it was supposed to be. That was her first mistake. Her second mistake? Well that might just be the big burly bear shifter that seems too good to be true. Can she really let herself trust a man she just met and what his Team is trying to tell her? Does she really want to believe that what goes bump in the night isn’t just her imagination but fact? Shifters exists and she has been thrown right in the deep end. Now the question is does she sink or swim?

This series started out with a bang and I loved Jackson "Jacks" in the first installment. However, in this installment, I could have cared less for Jackson. All he cared about was his mate. He didn't give an ounce of care that Emma was Dalton mate. Ugh, I really hated Jackson and by the end of the book, my feeling has yet to change. After all, he was still talking about killing Emma and stealing her baby after the meeting.

I felt for Dalton. No one but Ry and Mia gave an ounce of care to Dalton's mating need with Emma. It felt the only reason Emma was still breathing was Ry, Jackson didn't want to upset her. It seems that Jackson didn't give a shit about Dalton and Emma's mating or the fact that his Bear also claimed McKenna.

In all honesty, all Jackson cared about was McKenna. That was just because she was showing signs of being a shifter. Ugh, so far Jackson is a sh** Alpha and would make a sorry excuse of Alpha of the Alpha's after Declan steps down.

Let's see if Jackson gets his crap together in book 3, Whyett's story!

I hope there are many more books in this series!

I never thought I would be finding time to read again. I enjoyed the continued storyline! Dalton and Emma was just as exciting as Jackson! As soon as I was wondering about one of the characters in the first book the author would put them in just in time! Its a ***** 5 star for me!

I love how this world is expanding and we are getting more and more details. Dalton and Emma went through a lot and it looks like it's gonna be a bumpy ride for everyone.
I can't wait to start the next book and highly recommend you start with book one. Plenty of back story that needs read in this series.

Really good book

This is the second in this series. I loved Dalton's and Emma's story. Little Jenna was so sweet. The Alphas in this series are hot.

Good story

This book has it all...sexy, hot alpha men. Strong, brave women and a baby to boot. There is excitement and new discoveries with every chapter. The only distracting thing in this book is the double use of multiple words per sentence... (He has he has...example) Randomly throughout the book, and is it Eva or Ava? Both were used to describe the same character. Tiny editing errors, if your a true reader it won't matter. Heading on to book 3... Can't wait to discover more about Alpha team.

Dalton: MAC & The Holly Group

I forgot how twisted and sick the men after this group were. I feel like Jacks is all over the place and not attuned to his mate's needs as he should be. Dalton's bear knew from the start Emma was his and I feel like Emma's daughter is more than a bear.

a great premise.

Ruined by the BDSM and asshole males. Not my cup of tea.

Also quite a few editing misses. Distracting.

The second book in the series and it features Dalton and Emma. I enjoyed the story a lot. Loved the characters and their connection and I loved seeing all those big burgle shifters go all mushy.

Dalton is the second book in the NAC & The Holly Group Series. Dalton has been feeling restless and unhappy, but the first time he catches sight of Emma, he knows she’s something special. Emma has never had an easy life, but the past six months have been traumatic. Add in an unexpected delivery, a pull to Dalton, and a lot of extra scary guys, Emma’s world is rocked to the core. But the discovery about about the birth of her daughter can only bring uncertainty and danger. Can Dalton convince Emma they are safe with him and save her when the danger comes knocking?

I think one of my favorite things about Ms. Handcock’s writing is that her characters just feel so real. Emma has to deal not only with postpartum depression, but also PTSD - she doesn’t always make the best decisions and as a reader, I feel like I’m literally in her mind, experiencing what she’s feeling. Dalton seems conflicted at times about where his loyalties should lay, but he also is amazingly simple with his draw and his love for Emma. I loved seeing characters from the previous books, and while this could be a stand-alone, I would suggest reading the previous book to get the full understanding. If you’re looking for a romantic suspense series filled with shifters and some really deep themes, I would definitely suggest this book and series for you!

It was alright. It was good in the beginning but I kind of lost interest in the middle then it picks up again towards the end.

Dalton save a girl at the Diner cause she looks stressed out.

Emma have no clue what's going on but there is a baby on the way.
