Eternal Flames Maddox #2

A Bite To Remember

Rate this book
The second Nick scented his mate he knew his life was about to be complete. He didn't care that he was a vampire and he didn't care if he was considered rogue. All Nick cared about was that fate had finally shined upon him. Until they mated and changes in his body began to drive him to the brink of insanity.

A new job in a new town was something Jagger had known was long overdue. He had been forced out of his coven and was only looking for a peace he had not had in months. Nick, his big grizzly bear, and leader of a small band of men, was the best and most welcome surprise to truly begin this new life. Nick being the fire chief of Maddox, Jagger worries for his mate, but knows that he will do everything he can to come home to him.

He never expected those fires to burn so close to home. When they do, will his mate be able to get to him in time?

Loved it!

This series just gets better with each installment. I did find that this one had several editing errors in it that distracted (corp vs corps, tense/POV changes mid-paragraph), but I find that the story is so captivating that I don't feel like it detracts significantly.

I think that it's great that we are seeing more and more paranormal species hearing about the reunification of the Dragon and the Phoenix and finding hope in it. It also sounds like the fairies and elves probably aren't really all that bad either, it's just their leaders.

I can't wait to see who Dain will end up with and what kind of paradigm shifts will happen there!

My last of the serie

Very bad , I don't have in me to read a book where somebody like Jewel act so so so wrong in all his ways and with a single line the author wants to forgive and forget and where someone assure to be a friend and never saw o notice all the things his lovely mate do, this is too much absurd, I think this is my last book from this series

What I really enjoyed about this book is the was Nick and Jagger share their abilities when they mate. Fate knew that they would benefit from that. I can't imagine how Jagger felt the morning after the mating bond. Must have been totally surreal for him.

The paranomal species keep growing.
In this story we are introduced to Vampires and learn of their creation.
New allies, new villain and a brief meeting with a fairy.
Enjoyable addition to the series and a must read before Phoenix Rising

Oh my ever loving wth.

Omg I love this series. This was Jagger and Nick's story and what a story. Nick and Jagger no there mates immediately and waste no time mating the only thing they didn't expect their mating to have consciences. While these two are trying to figure out mated life the town is burning. Someone has been setting fires. When the truth is revealed is a shock to the while team. Jagger has to face his demons to be able to move forward. Wow just wow.

This is an awesome series. It is a spin off from the Eternal Flame series. This book is a continuation of that series. For the most enjoyment from this series you should start with the Eternal Flame series first. This book is well written with well developed characters. It has a great storyline. I am looking forward to what comes next.

My main problem with this series and the related Eternal Flame series is that the authors leave too many dangling threads. There are so many unanswered questions that arise in each installment that it's a bit annoying. I'm still waiting to hear what happened to Manny. It was briefly mentioned, but still no resolution. Then there is the issue of all the new dangling threads that appeared throughout this book. So many questions and no answers in sight.

That all being said, I did enjoy the book. I thought Nick and Jagger made a great couple. I totally bought into their mating. I am looking forward to reading more about the characters in both of these series. I just hope that we get some answers down the line.
