I'm maybe a teensy bit older than the target audience, but I found this very helpful. I especially like that there are only Spanish words on the primary pages of the book. If you want to see translations, you can go to the glossary.

What a great book. I would call it compact, but it’s rather long in length. I can’t believe the dramatic change my experience with learning Spanish words when I had the visual to go with the wording. I seem to be more of a an audio/hearing person, but visuals must have a big impact for everyone, despite what your learning format may lean against.

Another suggestion that worked for me was photocopying, the words and then cutting them up to paste them on the item. For example, I would stick a little piece of paper with a Spanish word on the bathroom mirror that said the word mirror in Spanish. On the phone with Spanish word for phone etc Also, we all of the offers a list of words in the back that were fun to go over once in a while. Presented the list in alphabetical order of the Spanish word so you could look up the English variant, and it also included how it was pronounced in Spanish. You could also make flashcards.

There are a LOT of words in this book! What I really wanted to do, while reading this book, was to cut out all the pictures and make them into flash cards for learning and memorization. Whew, learning a new language (at an old(er) age) is hard. This book was helpful.

This book offer a great variety of words in Spanish with great visuals. This book provides young readers a variety of interesting words that helps built their Spanish vocabulary. At the end of the book there is a full Spanish/English dictionary, which covers all the words in the book and includes an easy-to use word-by-word pronunciation guide.

A great little book, perfect for beginners. The illustrations make it easier to remember so much vocabulary and, the fact each page or double page focus on a specific topic (e.g. park, home, hospital, food etc) greatly facilitates learning. At least that's a book focusing on vocabulary we use on a day to day basis -not something purely for school or tourists!

This book is very informative. I can use this book in my classroom as an informative writing piece. The students can take any words they enjoyed from the book and use it by creating their own sentences.

Another hand-me-down from the cousins. We haven't been great about teaching the boys Spanish, so it will be nice to have a helpful reference to spur us on.
