With a passion for history and romance, I have several exciting works in progress. Each manuscript offers a blend of passion, adventure and where appropriate, a dab of comic relief. Carefully researched historical facts are woven into the storyline, providing a backdrop from which steamy romance, gripping plots and vivid characters—dashing alpha heroes and resourceful, beguiling heroines you can't help but admire—spring to life. I also write contemporary, paranormal, time travel and romantic suspense.

After several years in the nursing and child and youth work fields, I met and married my knight in shinning armor and he whisked me away to his castle by the sea. Actually, it is a century old home in a small town on the shore of Lake Erie, where we reside with our three dogs and a cat.

While born in Canada, my ethnic background( grandparents back) were from Scotland, Ireland and England. Perhaps the reason for my facination with anything Celtic. In the fourth grade, I discovered the work of C.S Lewis, and was hooked. When I am not writing, working at my childcare job or on my small business, you will find me reading, camping or antique hunting.

2.5 stars. This was a fine read. The star rating is more of a me thing and others may love this kind of everlasting eternal love story. I had not realized this book would include a specific trope I am not fond of. Reincarnation of one partner is not for me. My mind goes to - Who does the H really love? The girl he grew up to love or the woman who is from the 21st century? The women may look the same, have the same soul, but had different parents, were raised differently and had very different life experiences. In my mind, the h may have some of her past life's memories, but she is not the same woman. The original woman only loved the H and he was her only lover, while the current h had been engaged and in love (not the same romantic love) with another man and had other lovers. I can understand why the h fell in love so quickly with the H, but not the H falling in love with the h. He kept calling her by the name of his first love, not the h's current name. I could not get past that. I prefer the H's to be in love with one woman, one soul and one body.

I also found the h to be TSTL at times. Who threatens to expose a mad man with a sword as a traitor while standing alone by a cliff in the woods? And, in the same place she knew the other woman/her past soul fell to her death...

When Katherine MacDonald would ask her mother and grandmother about her aunt in Scotland they would change the subject and never give her answers. Little did she realize just how connected she was to her Aunt Agnes and Scotland.

What a wonderful romance! B. J. Scott has found her second calling – not just highland romance but highland romance with a twist. Unless a time travel story is very well written it is hard for me to enjoy these types of stories. This one had me hooked at page one. This is such a wonderfully written plot that has the reader wondering if the hero and heroine will get their happy ever after and how in the world things will work out. This author has done a great job with the plot, all the twists and turns and just keeping you on the edge of your seat waiting to see how it will all turn out. I loved both Katherine and Ayden’s characters. They were both strong and likeable. Ms. Scott did a fantastic job with this story! She has a great feel for Scotland, the time period, people and language. Loved it!

One minute you are living in the modern world, and the next thing you know you have traveled back in time. Katherine went to the Scottish Highlands to escape an evil man who was her fiancé. He refuses to let her go and threatens her with harm if she leaves, which she does, and so now she is on the run from him.

This is a nicely written story that will have you wondering if Katherine will ever find her HEA. There are obstacles that seem insurmountable. The hero, Ayden, is the man she has seen in her dreams. Ayden is the total opposite of the man that Kathrine left, but she is afraid to trust again. Could Ayden be the man in her actual life? Could he be the key to her happiness? Read the story and find out. Its got drama, suspense and emotion along with a twist. Well done, B.J.! I loved the book!

This book is beyond amazing. B.J. Scott is a master at time travel romances. Ayden and Katherine/Catriona's story will weave itself around you so that you feel as if you are one with the story. Every night I went to bed thinking about this story and couldn't wait to pick it up the next morning and read on. I'd like to thank B.J. Forever and Beyond: Highland Hearts Afire - Time Travel Romance by B. J. Scott is a stimulating read, one which takes the reader on a journey of love, drama, supense, adventure and destiny.

This is Katherine (Catriona) MacDonald and Ayden MacAndrews' journey. Filled with fourteen century old secrets, the reader will be intrigued and captivated with "Forever and Beyond", I certainly was. I couldn't stop turning the pages, to learn all their secrets. Ayden has been invading Katherine's dreams since she was a child, now he has finally appeared in person. Can a love that is true, truly transcend thru centuries? I believe so.

Ms. Scott, has written a story that is believable, were a ancient curse, changes the course of a couple's life.

Not just a Time Travel story, but so much more with a few surprises and twists and turns, there is also things, as a reader I did not expect. Teriffic Time Travel!

The characters were believable, the plot well written, the vivid descriptions were breathtaking and most of all, the romance was true and full of possibilities. The chemistry between Ayden and Catriona lasted thru the centuries and beyond. A forever kind of love.

I was impressed and intrigued with "Forever and Beyond". I look forward to reading more stories by B. J. Scott. I hope you will give this story a try, it is a fantastic read. Enthralling, captivating and terrific! A must read, especially, for Time Travel fans, fans of love that transcends and captures the readers attention, immediately and forever. What a wonderful read from B. J. Scott!

As soon as you pick up a book by B.J. Scott you know you are in for a brilliant and heart warming story, one that takes you away to another time (this one quite literally as it's a time travel).

Katherine MacDonald leaves everything she knows behind and travels to Scotland where her great aunt Agnes has left every thing to her as sole beneficiary in her will, after finding an old ring bearing an inscription and an old journal written by one of her ancestors she's suddenly finds herself facing the man who has haunted her dreams since she was little.

Ayden MacAndrews has been searching for Catriona (Katherine) for a long time, now he has found her he has to wait for the right time to show himself.

She realises that she has been sent back for a reason, can all be put right and will love last.

I couldn't turn the pages fast enough and it'll be on my keeper shelf so I can read it again and again.

Sometimes forever really means forever...

When you hear those words, it conjures up images of a love so strong that it exists through eternity. Of a love standing beside you, even beyond life's limited constraints... this is beyond. If a persons love is so strong, can it defy the laws we feel we are bound to? Just maybe... This story revolves around that possibility. Your path of discovery will begin and where it leads will have you enthralled. Take a trip through time and discover the possibilities. I have always been intrigued by B.J. Scott's vivid portrayal of life and love and this story is a marvelous example of that quality... I am looking forward to more tantalizing and insightful writing from this author and you will too.

Really enjoyed this book

Time travel romance at its best.. Katherine's aunt has died leaving her an inheritance, but she has to follow some simple request before she can receive it... Simple enough she has to stay on the estate for 7 days.. how hard can that be? I've read this plot before in other time travel romance... But I still enjoyed this book.. you can feel the love that Catriona and Ayden felt for each other.. but does Katherine feel the same? Can Ayden learn to love Katherine?

I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys reading time travel romance... You will not be able to put down...

Life and love in 1304 Scotland

Katherine has inherited her aunt's property in Scotland, and since she needs to escape from an abusive fiance`, she travels there to view her inheritance. She is transported to 1304 where she is Catronia Grant, in love with Ayden MacMasters but promised to another by her cold, arrogant father.

This is a good storyline with only a few "Huh?" moments. I felt the atmosphere was better developed than many of the characters , and I liked the comparison of 1304 Scotland and 2015 Manhattan.

Loved it!!!!!

B.J. Scott has done it again, another best seller. This story has it all adventure, drama and suspense. The storyline was well written, but the storyline has a twist that doesn't let you put the book down, it's really that good. It is truly a wonderful love story. I was given an advance readers copy for my honest review and I love this book so much that I purchase a copy for my collection. I highly recommend this book.

It was so wordy & boring my God! Endless repetitions of the same thing & needless words. Just to add pages to a 50-page story. The plot is told right in the beginning & knowing that it's a book, there is no doubt the ending would be exactly as spelled out as in the plot. My first my Scott, and I'm very wary to read another.

Good Story, Interesting Characters

In this day of railing against abuse, this story has a great message for young women. Wanting to have a voice and be an equal in the marriage relationship is often mentioned by Katherine (Caitroina) in the story. Enjoyable!

My first book by this author. A good story, just found it a bit long, maybe too much detail and description and pet hate of mine, pondering in the persons head and talking to themselves.
