The Hero:Wind - he was born a full-grown cyborg more than fifteen years ago and has been bound to Diane for that entire time. She is dying and he doesn’t know what will happen when she dies. Most cyborgs die when their bound person dies. Some live, but they can turn crazy if they don’t bind themselves to someone else. Diane wants him to bind himself to Celise or someone else because she wants him to live even after she passes.
The heroine:Celise - Celise has known Wind and Diane for five years and has been in love with him since she first met him. Everyone in their circle of friends knows about her feelings but they don’t talk about it. She once talked about it with Wind, he told her that he could never be with her, but she just replied that she couldn’t control her feelings like that. Celise is a doctor and works at MedAct, the company that creates cyborgs. She knows more about cyborgs than most cyborgs and more than most people at MedAct.
The Story: This was a hard one because the bond made Wind only want Diane and when they approached Celise, she didn’t want to be his second choice, or his choice only because he wanted to live and not because he actually wanted her. Though they both knew how the bond worked so once Diane died, if they bonded, it would be love between them. However, if I were Celise, I would always feel like I was second choice. What made it worse was the fact that while Diane was still alive the bond made Wind nauseous when he even thought about hooking up with Celise.
I usually hate romances where a significant other dies, because I don’t like my Hero or heroine to have romantically loved someone else. Though this was a bit different with the bond. I did really like the fact that Wind started getting a bit possessive of Celise before they even transferred the bond and before Diane died. Though when they started to transfer the bond and Jade mentioned that one way to do it would be to have a threesome, I rolled my eyes big time.
Though I must say the overarching storyline in the series about the fighters and what MedAct is up to and what the bond really was designed for was very good. I ended up really liking this book and staying up til all hours of the morning to finish it. My workday tomorrow is going to be a long and torturous one. I am definitely moving on to the next book tomorrow.
I absolutely HATED this book. It was love triangle--ish. Wind is a cyborg bound to Diane but Diane is dying (she does die in the book). If Wind does not bind to another woman he will die with her and Diane does not want that. In comes Celise who has been in love with Wind for years. Both Diane and Wind know this but they still are friends with her. Diane wants wind to bind with Celise before she dies.
I did not expect the threesome that followed (I should of I realize that now since FFM is at the bottom of the synopsis) or the hurt Celise feels when Wind, still bound to Diane, feels disgust and pain at the thought of being with Celise (before threesome).
I have to admit I only skimmed about 80% of the book. I just wanted to know the outcome since I started it. I won't be reading any more of this series.

Diane and Wind have been happy for many years. Diane custom ordered Wind from MedAct but now she's dying. Usually the cyborg's bond breaks and they die when their bound one dies. Diane doesn't want Wind to die with her so she asks Cerise to bond Wind to her. Cerise has been secretly in love with Wind.
The Fighters are a group of cyborgs who have survived the deaths of their bound ones. Nightmare is the leader and he's been trying to learn more about cyborgs and the bond.
When Diane dies. It takes nightmare and the Fighters along with Cerise to save Wind. They also learn a bit more about how the bond works and the dirty dealings of MedAct.
I can't get enough of this series. The writing is both sensual and exciting. The undercurrent of potential violence that is never quite realized is palpable.
I honestly don't have much but to say... I liked it but was didn't love it.... the 1st almost 60% was Diane and Celise working together to get Wind's bond to try and except her and the last half Learning something new about the fighters.... Wind was ok, I was really crazy about Celise, ok, granted I wouldn't have wanted to be in her position, at all !!! To take the place of of loving your dying friend lover ? Mate? Whatever , A male your head over heels for who mainly wants you to start with because it's the only way to stay alive ? No , No that is a bitter pill to swallow/deal with, but for me Celise was like watered down cheap vanilla ice cream, she was just kinda there, sure ,sure not getting what she wants the way she might like but she was getting him, but to me she seemed kinda wimpy and lackluster and just kinda there... I just didn't like her,and even though to be honest it was mainly on her inside, she seemed really kinda whiny to me, and Wind ,bless him had fire 🔥 and some Spirit but he and Celise didn't really have any real chemistry to me and it just felt like he was going through the motions because he was doing what he was told/had to do... Nothing more , nothing less.... I really enjoyed book one w/Shade and the novella from the mailing list ... but with them there was chemistry and a connection and they were fun and exciting to read, this ? Let's just say I barely got into the story before I was wanting to skip, Diane and Celise playing sexy games with Wind wasn't floating my boat ( give me one woman enjoying two men's attentions focused solely on her and then you have me ;)) and before I got past that I had guessed how the fighters would show up... I still really really like the series but I don't see myself reading this again and I'm only glad I did because I know what's going on with the characters .. Thank you Ms. Lind for your hard work, but this just wasn't for me..
Celise, who helps MedAct by examining the cyborgs in their home environments, has been in love with Wind ever since she first met him. He is gentle, kind, and very special. But because of the bond that is created between the bound one and her cyborg, once the bound one dies, the cyborg will also – or will go insane if he lives through the separation. Celise has never acted inappropriately with Wind. But they all knew that she was in love with him. Diane now is facing her last few months of life. She loves her cyborg and does not want him to die with her. Wind agreed to try to create a bond with Celise so that he won’t die. But the bond is very strong and won’t allow his programming to accept Celise except in very small increments.
Three times the cyborg’s eyes must flash. Through constant struggles, Diane and Celise finally get Wind’s eyes to flash once – that initiates the bond. Two more flashes are needed. But before that can occur, Diana is overcome by her illness and dies. Wind is in agony, his bond is tearing him up, and he runs from the house in pain. Celise triggers a machine she had developed to track cyborgs by a signal they all have – but the outlaw Nightmare feels the signal and knows what it means. Who will find Wind first? And can Celise do anything to save him at this point? Is the one flash enough to keep him alive? Or will Nightmare get to him first?
I love this series! It is such an imaginative portrayal of cyborgs and how they are programmed. There is so much love and sacrifice in this one. There are some secrets that come out which were unknown by the characters we know from Book 1. This could change everything! It may be why the original scientist at MedAct went missing. The story line can still go in so many different directions! Grab a copy and find out if this glimpse of a new truth will change everything.
It has been years since I first read the first book in the Bound by Her series and I was kinda lost at the beginning of this book. I was glad that along the way, I remembered events and aspects that would help me comprehend the second book. I didn't expect that this book takes place 15 years after the first book and we get to see Diane dying from leukemia and having the dilemma of Wind dying with her if the bond is not transferred to someone else.
I have to say that the story is way better than the first book. We get to see more information about the cyborgs as well as the Fighters, who we consider as run-away cyborgs because after their bound died, they survived and lived unbound. I really found it intriguing that the Fighters are not really bad cyborgs and they have a better cause.
Diane death was so sudden and quite heartbreaking. And I really feel for Wind as he struggled to get the pain of losing his bound one so suddenly when the transfer is still in the process. I am glad that Celise trusted Nightmare to help Wind and complete the transfer.
I am excited to read the next book maybe later this month, because I need to read my physical tbr first.
I didn’t read the book, even though I purchased it as a trilogy in Amazon. In fact...I really intend to skip reading this book and proceed to the next one.
While I was reading the first book. I was in love with it. When I heard that Diane is going to die in cancer, I felt bad for Wind. I accepted that they would be just a tragedy romance. PERIOD!
I don’t want Wind to bound with someone, I mean let’s face it---he’s an android made to love; not a fuck toy that you could pass on.
I read some reviews that some people doesn’t like it and yes, I did not intend to read this book due to I want Diane and Wind---the end--- I’m not a big fan of after death of your loved one then immediately fuck someone. I mean it’s insane!
We all have different taste, so yeah... I respect everyone on what they think and what they want. But I want Diane and Wind together. :P
This book is just wow. If you read this book, make sure to have some tissues nearby because it will make you ugly cry. But it also has happiness. Loved the story between Diane, Celise, and Wind. Such a great love story but also has some sadness. What you think you know about the Fighters and MedAct will make you think twice with this book. So be prepared for a whirlwind of love, hurt, sadness and happiness.
Spoilers ? Maybe 🤷♀️ idk. These reviews I do are mostly for myself so I remember what I thought of the book. So if anyone reads this .. 🤷♀️ I give it 5 stars. Recommend it. Read it. You’ll love it. Start with the first book tho. But ..
Can someone say CONSPIRACY. That’s all I thought near the ending of the book. .. mind 🤯
Well I’m now off to read the hatred to love between Silver and his sassy women.

Interesting concept on the cyborgs. Women can create their own cyborg and chose looks, height, hair color, eye color etc etc. This cyborg will love and protect them unconditionally. Sounds perfect right?
this is the 2nd book in the series. I did not leave a review on the first as I felt I wanted to read the 2nd book before forming an opinion.
I didn’t like this as much as the first one. The whole idea of the absolute love for someone ... until we just switch it over ... kind of kills the love of it. But it’s still interesting. I’m not sure how I feel about where it’s going with the Fighters vs MedAct thing. Like I get it but I’m still sort of on MedAct’s side.
I waited a good while for this one and was super excited for it. Let's just say I devoured it as soon as I could get my hands on it. I'm sort of so-so here. I'm not sure why either, I think it may just be me but I'm on the fence for my rating. Going to sit on it for a few days and see how I feel.
Wow oh wow!!! I love this series. Can't wait for the next one to come out. Chelsea seemed a little wimpy at first. But she started to show her strong side soon enough. And she was there for Wind that's all that matters.
This is such a good read!! I read all the book in this series in literally 3 days!! This is the first of this genre that I have ever read and I have now read everything this Author has written! And I loved them all!!
I read the books out of order. Started the first but then went to this one. I loved it and super happy I did. 100% feel this is a book to read. It will melt your heart.
An okay story, setting up for what could be a better few stories ahead.
We follow Wind as they attempt to transfer his bond from Diane to Celeste to save his life. Diane is dying and if hey don’t transfer the bend then Wind will die or end up with the Fighters. Celeste has always loved Wind but never acted upon it because of his bond and feelings for Diane.
This story was... okay. It had some interesting elements that grew the world but that was about it.
Some of the more interesting elements included how the bond is transferred. It isn’t as easy as signing some papers. The bond takes time to move from one person to another and typically involves the equal cooperation of the cyborg and the 2 women involved. Really, kind of interesting.
I also enjoyed how we got more on the Fighters and how Wind finds that everything they have been saying is true. The bond is a lie and is designed to kill the cyborg. The fact that the Fighters exist at all is a miracle.
Overall, this book had moments where I laughed and moments where I felt sadness. It also added a lot more to the overall world as a whole which I really enjoyed.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved Wind and learning about what happens when a Bound One is dying. So, there were a lot of sad parts. But there is a happy for now ending, and I got to see Shade and Phoebe for a few minutes.
I thought this book was less romantic than the first one, but there is lots more drama and the issue of the Bond is explored. The plot thickens, and I liked how the perspective shifted. Who really knows what's going on with the Bond? Why aren't there any female cyborgs? Will Faye kiss Silver again?
