We won a copy in a Goodreads giveaway. My toddler was excited when he recognized Fig on the cover. He had me read it immediately. He was engaged the entire time, certain the noises were from a "monster!"

He thoroughly enjoyed it. "Tumble Leaf" is one of his favorite shows, behind "Caillou" and "Thomas the Tank Engine."

This was a wonderful book!,,Fig and his friend Stick awaken in the middle of the night by noises coming from their Finding Place .They just can not go back to sleep until they find out what is making that noise .In the Finding Place they find a notebook and a pencil .
Just as they get ready to go back to sleep they hear another unknown noise ,When they go to investigate they find four of their friend had heard noises too.
Every time they get ready to go back to sleep they hear another unknown noise .Fig and Stick and their friends heard other noises in the each time they find they just can not sleep until they find out who or what is causing each noise in the night . A wonderful children's book with colorful pictures that will excite the imagination of any child.
And as a plus this book also has a page of stickers attached .. I give this book a BIG plus !

I have been meaning to start watching Tumble Leaf, but I keep getting caught up in other shows. I work with a kid who enjoys the show so I picked this up from the library to read with him.

This is such a cute book. It is based on the episode, "Things that Go Gourd in the Night" and I found it to be a nice adaptation. While the pictures are taken directly from the show, they are presented in interesting ways such as with stick borders, on boards hanging by twine, bordered by quilt stitches, and on clotheslines. Great presentation that really adds another dimension to the layouts.

I really enjoyed the fun mystery story as well and the silly ending. Great book. It makes me want to watch the show even more.

Three stars because I loved the illustrations. But both I and the child I read to was bored with the story. I don't know if it's because it has too many words, or because it was longer than I expected. It just wasn't interesting. There were a few side characters with little purpose or dialog. They were introduced and shown as illustrations and nothing more. I didn't understand why they were written at all when Fig and Stick were more than enough to solve the mystery. Perhaps this is based on a television show or a series that I lack context in. But even if that were so, there were just a lot of unnecessary characters and plot points that did not advance the story at all and distracted me pretty easily.

Delightful story, cute illustrations, and a page of character stickers at the back. What more could a child ask for?
