Twisted just got twisted. After a rough start on my weekend, I finally get the good book I was hoping for. I am obsessed with the Steel Brother. The plot got thicker and well more twisted.
Yes it feels like soap opera sometimes, but I love Ryan's story. Aside from Jonah, his story captured me. I stayed all night to finish this book. The weather has been hot so what the heck. Instead of trying to get some sleep, I just stayed up all night to finish this book.
I am not disappointed. Miss Hardt delivers her masterpiece again.

Holy-mind-fu@k this series is amazing.
The chemistry between Ryan and Ruby is intense and sexy as hell. Alot of questions are answered, however just when you think you got it all figured out another twist and your back to the begining. That is what makes this series so addictive!
The Steel saga is full of sexy alphas and their strong women trying to get the the answer to the zillions of questions that keep coming up. The storys will keep you entertained from start to finish and as always leaving you panting for Feb 13, 2018 when all will finally be revealed in Unraveled.
The chemistry between Ryan and Ruby is intense and sexy as hell. Alot of questions are answered, however just when you think you got it all figured out another twist and your back to the begining. That is what makes this series so addictive!

Twisted by Helen Hardt is book Eight in the Steel Brothers Saga. This continues the story of Ryan Steel and Ruby Lee so I would highly recommend reading the previous book 'Shattered'.
Ryan is trying to deal with all the secrets that have been kept from him...along with who Ruby's father is. Ryan and his brother has been looking into the long ago kidnapping of their brother which has unveiled a lot of upsetting surprises. This book deals with finding out more of what happened and looking to heal the wounds that it has opened. Their story doesn't end with this book so we will get to seem more of it going forward.
Overall their story has been pretty exciting and emotional and I look forward to reading more of it!

One thing is for certain. The Steel Brothers Saga is a TRUE saga. So much mystery and clue searching from the first book to now has been an amazing adventure. And while Jonah, Talon and Ryan try to solve the mystery that surrounds their family they still manage to find love which is absolutely amazing. And the women they find only help aid them in getting closer to the truth, as they each have their own strong attributes as well.
For Ryan and Ruby, they are both struggling with similar issues. Learning and knowing your parentage isn’t something to be proud of only haunts them as they face guilt of what their parents have done and they spiral out of control. However, their chemistry and strong connection allows them to regain that control when they are alone and in some instances an actual necessity to regain their bearings as they work toward finding answers.
And what is absolutely amazing in the storytelling of this series is that with each new clue and answer uncovered - the characters are faced with more questions. It seems the closer they get the farther the end to this ordeal appears and yet they continue to fight together as a family and strong unit to get to the truth. This serial has been one of the best I’ve read. It’s not a romance of three brothers with a splash of mystery . No, this is a family mystery where three bothers find love on the way to getting answers.
I can’t wait for the conclusion to Ryan and Ruby’s story as they find all the answers the Steel brothers seek and get the justice and peace they so deserve - but it will be bittersweet, as I don’t want this to end.

Helen Hardt has done a great job with this series as her readers are always anxiously waiting for the next release. Even more, readers never know what to expect and the twists and turns keep us eagerly flipping the pages in anticipation of what is going to happen next. If you haven't read the series as of yet then I highly recommend starting from the beginning otherwise, you will be totally lost. This is a series that MUST be read in order because it follows the same "plot force" throughout all of the books. Perhaps some readers may become confused because there are different romances being staged in different books BUT if you read them in order you will understand. In the first three books readers will get to know Talon and Jade. It is also in these books where the plot is being set up for the rest of the books in the series. In the next three books we move to a new brother, Jonah and his love interest, Dr. Melanie Carmichael. The plot in these books become even more mind mending as these brothers are still on the hunt to fund out HOW a kidnapping took place within their family. In the final three books (this being the second of the three) readers will get a closer look at Ryan. He is the third brother in the Steel family and perhaps the one the is embroiled the most in the happenings. I won't say HOW or WHY as that would spoil everything for future readers but be aware that his story is going to both answer questions and leave readers left wondering.
More about the series
This is a dark series as it features some pretty disturbing content but it is not what really in your face content. The stories are mainly about solving the mystery as to who was behind the brutal abuse of one of the characters and their search for answers. Flashbacks will display the disturbing scenes but it doesn't make up the entire story.
Romance is one of the main features of course and readers will be along for the ride when these three men who have been through hell find love in the most unexpected ways. Sex is a huge part of their relationships so I would consider a lot of the book to be erotic in nature as the scenes are pretty descriptive and blush worthy.
All of the characters that I have met have become near and dear to my heart and while I couldn't necessarily connect with them on a deep level, I enjoyed getting to know them and their relationships with their women and family.
The plot is THICK with tension. Readers will be on the edge of their seats and flipping the pages erratically in anticipation of what's to come. There is a lot going on within the plot which is probably why the entire story takes 9 books to tell and I like how the author split it up so it wasn't too much at one.
With all that being said, I WOULD recommend this book (as long as you start from the BEGINNING) to readers who enjoy darker stories and romantic suspense. It has been one of the few series that I have read each release as they come out and has held my interest the entire time. I look forward the the 9th and final book which is coming next year.

WHAT I REALLY LIKED ABOUT TWISTED
➜ The slow burn relationship between Ryan and Ruby. These two have both been through a hell of a lot of stuff in their life and were slow to come together. Had they been rushing it I wouldn't have believed it at all so I am glad the author didn't force these two together quickly.
➜ The TWISTS. I thought I had seen all the possible twists and turns we could get in the previous books but I was so wrong. Helen continues to amaze me with the layers of her stories.
➜ The romance. I am not really one to enjoy erotically charged romances but I couldn't help but become invested in these two even through all the sex. Helen does a wonderful job at bringing flawed and broken characters together in a timely fashion that doesn't seem fake.
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE ABOUT TWISTED
➜ Half of the book is sex scenes. Yea, I know sex is important in any relationship and becoming close to another person this way is natural and important. But, the book could have been cut in half the pages if there wasn't so much sex in it. To me, this takes away from the plot (it kind of sidetracks me).
➜ The number of books in the series. I think this series could have easily been brought down to three books (each featuring one of the brothers). As I mentioned above, most of the scenes in all of them is SEXUAL so if we cut some of that out the books would have been shorter. Even more, these books (individually) are only around 250 pages each. Had the author written them as one per brother, it wouldn't have been that big of a book in the first place and readers wouldn't have had to wait a month for the next one.
➜ The Cliffhangers: Each book HAS A DANG CLIFFHAGER. I applaud the author for keeping readers interested this way but when you have a cliffy in 8 books readers may become tired of it and stop reading.

It's official. Ryan Steel has stolen my heart out from my chest and twisted it to his will forever. In this book, the second part of his trilogy in the Steel Brothers series, the youngest Steel comes into his own as a person and as a hero, due mostly to the inner conflicts he has to face and overcome. Drawing from the strength he gains from the love of his woman, the man resolves to become better than his past in order to face his future as an evolved human being, and a braver person. In his case, that struggle is monumental. I truly enjoyed Ruby's development, too--but in this book, it was Ryan who dominated the story for me, and earned himself my undying devotion. What a hero!

This is book 8 in the Steel Brother's Saga and these books should be read in order.
WOW! This book left me speechless. I am highly anticipating Unraveled already. Helen Hardt will always be the QUEEN of Cliffhangers and amazing books. These books continue to just get better and better.
Ryan and Ruby are both so conflicted and trying to find out the truth. It is so hard for either to trust due to their pasts. Throughout this book they are still searching for the truth and as usual it is all very dangerous and complicated. While they find some truths they are left with just as many questions. This is a MUST READ!!!
And do not worry there are definitely some hot and steamy scenes amidst all of the mystery... HOT HOT HOT

Ryan Steel has just found out a huge secret. It's caused him to run off in his beloved Porsche so he can think (and rant and rave in his mind) and his Porsche ends up in not such great condition. Thank God Ryan isn't killed during his freak-out. But now he's back and looking for more answers about his family, about the woman he loves. Can he trust her any longer? Can he tell her how he feels about her?
Ruby's having family issues, too, though, thanks to her evil father. He makes a lot of appearances in Twisted, answers some questions that have been raised, and proposes even more that will hopefully be answered in the next book.
There are more revelations, but honestly, not a whole lot happens in this installment of the Steel family journey. That's why the 3 instead of 4 stars. It's still well-written, though, and Ryan and Ruby are still a pretty great couple. Twisted is kind of short, though, and Ruby and Ryan aren't together enough in it to satisfy me. Of course there's yet another cliffhanger, but I've looked ahead and found out that the next book in their journey is their last book. Not sure if it's the last in the series, but it is the last in Ryan and Ruby's story.

Twisted is the continuation of Ryan and Ruby's story. You will at-least want to start with Shattered since that is the beginning of their story, however, it is not the beginning of the overall plot. Therefor you might want to start at the very beginning in book 1.
This book did uncover some new information as these characters try to unravel more information. However, the majority of this book was Ryan dealing with the fact that Wendy is his mom and not Daphne. He is not dealing well with having a sociopath for a mother and learning that his brothers are only half brothers. Throw in his new relationship with Ruby and he is understandably having a hard time adjusting.
I felt that Ruby's character really grew in this book. She's coming into her own and I really like her with Ryan. I'm so curious how things end up with her father. Is she going to be the one to take him down? I'm looking forward to the next book! ARC provided by Netgalley.

Finally some resolved mysteries. This one was really steamy and I didn't like it as much. Not in the mood for that kind of scenes.

Twisted is book eight in the Steel Brothers series by Helen Hardt, and the story lives up to it's title. I love Ruby Lee and Ryan Steel together. They are two tortured souls with evil parents, and yet they both heal each other with their incredible love. This has been a theme in the Steel Brothers series, as Jade and Talon surpass inconceivable horror with their sweet love, and Melanie with Jonah also find such fantastic healing love with some divine domination! As in the previous books, there are questions that are answered, and some questions still remain. Of course in true Helen Hardt fashion, the ending is quite the cliffhanger! There are so many feels for me in this book, and it was a twisted roller coaster ride at times! Incredible story that shows that even with evil DNA, and horrific happenings in one's childhood, true love can heal the worst of the worst!!! The love scenes are panty melting, steamy, and delightful. Both Ruby and Ryan want to take care of the other, both physically and emotionally, and that is beautiful love. We get to see a little of Jade and Talon, and more of Melanie and Jonah. I love how each book has built on the last, and continues to draw us to the final book in the series. While I will be very sad to say good bye to the Steel Brothers, I cannot wait for the conclusion of this series in the final book, Unravelled. I have loved each and every book in this series. This book has made me think about all sorts of issues and that is a sign of a great book. Keep writing your stories Helen Hardt, because I sure do love to read them!!!!!

I received Twisted as an ARC and oh my goodness it was phenomenal. The mystery surrounding the Steel Brothers continues with twists and turns....

Ryan and Ruby's relationship gets deeper and hot. They're bedroom scenes are soooooo hot!!! Ryan and Ruby learn new things regarding their lives, new clues surrounding their fathers adolescence era. They're so in sync that their minds think a like and when they can't handle their feelings they take it to the bedroom....
As always Helen you did an awesome job. The book has twists, angst, happiness, anger, betrayal, love, family, friendships and hot very hot sexy times, and so much suspense.
This continues to be the best suspenseful romantic thriller of all time

As always Helen you did an awesome job. The book has twists, angst, happiness, anger, betrayal, love, family, friendships and hot very hot sexy times, and so much suspense.

Twisted begins where Shattered left off and as you know, Helen dangled that proverbial carrot in front of us once again. Ryan and Ruby are still working together to figure out the strange mysteries that plague their families. Some puzzle pieces are falling together, while others are still missing.
The development of Ryan and Ruby’s relationship is fast, yet careful and guarded. They are extremely conflicted and although it’s clear to them both they have something special, they find it hard to trust other people. Ruby has dealt with conflict since she was a teen and has relied only on herself to get through life. She’s come out of her shell a lot and I admire her perseverance in trying to rewrite the future she thought she has set for herself. Ryan has learned some things that have turned his life upside down, he doesn’t know where to turn anymore and feels lost. He’s still the same sweet, honest, patient Baby Steel Brother we’ve come to know and love, but sadly feels he doesn’t know where he belongs.
We all know by now that Helen is the Queen of cliffhangers. That is what’s so appealing about this series. We have twists, turns, one step forward, two steps back. The need to frantically turn page after page and not stop is always present. That doesn’t diminish the sexy, heart pounding erotic moments between these broken characters. We get it all, mystery, intrigue, suspense and best of all characters that we come to know and love like family. Enjoy the ride that is the Steel Brothers!

This is the eighth book to this epic series of the Steele Brothers. You have to read them all in order or you will be totally lost. The order is Craving, Obsession, Possession, Melt, Burn, Surrender, Shattered, and now Twisted. This book continues Ryan and Ruby’s journey. It starts from where Shattered ended. I have read this whole series from the beginning and this author always leave me speechless. This book kept me glued to my Kindle all hours of the night. It only took me a few hours to devour this book.

These characters have some pretty steamy scenes that will make your temperature rise. I love that this amazing author wrote this book in both of the characters points of views. This gives you more of a personal connection with these characters. This book will leave your mind twisted. This family is so close to finding out the truth and I can’t wait to read how this series will end. I’m already counting down the days for Unraveled.

Helen Hardt has delivered another great addition to the Steel Brothers’ saga with her expert storytelling. She has woven an intricate story of the Steel family and will make you fall in love with every single one of them. In Twisted, Ryan and Ruby are great together with lots of heat and drama. Between burning up the sheets the two are a force to be reckoned with as they work to solve the mystery that surrounds the entire family. Ryan is confused and distraught about finding out that Wendy Madigen is his mother and could his father really be alive? Ruby is pushing to catch up with her father to put all their nightmares to rest. Picking right up from where Shattered left off, the answers to everyone’s questions begin to be revealed. What will they uncover next is anyone’s guess.

Twisted, perfect title for this book. Ryan an Ruby are a force to be reckoned with. They have an explosive sexual relationship. Ryan finds out his father is alive, his mother, Wendy Madigen is the mastermind behind the abduction and rape of his older brother, Talon. Ruby is the daughter of, Theodore Mathis, one of the biggest human trafficking, rapist and murders she knows. This book leaves you biting your nails. Helen Hardt, is a writing genius.

Twisted is exactly that, Twisted!! Helen has such a way with giving us just enough answers to only end up asking more questions. The romance between Ruby and Ryan is sweet, as they equal each other out very well. It was thrilling, and definitely kept you reading until the end. After everything that happened in Twisted, Unraveled will be amazing.

Mixed feelings on this book. On the one hand, it stayed more on an even keel than my feelings about the last. On the other, it just kept opening up more and more questions with very little answers. I supposed all is to be revealed in Book 9, the finale of this odyssey. All I can say for the author is after hanging in here for her with this long she better make it damn worth my while!

Holy mother of Steele books! This book takes the cake, hands down. Before I could grasp what had just happened even more twisted information pops up. Helen really worked overtime to keep our minds in overdrive following this one.
I must apologize to Talon. I loved Talon from the start and never in my wildest dreams thought he could be replaced, but Ryan certainly pulled it off. I am going to have naughty dreams of all the filthy things Ryan can do to me, not to mention that alpha hot head streak that can't be contained. Do not mess with someone he loves if you value your life. That's all I'm saying.
This book really starts to get further in depth of uncovering all of the secrets that were being slowly unraveled. I have to say, this book seriously turned uo the intensity factor about 10 notches. It's on now. The end is in sight. Now we have to cross our fingers and toes that everyone makes it out unscathed.
This is hands down the best book Helen has released yet. I never thought I would say those words because of the strong affinity I developed for Talon from the start but you don't even know the half of it. Kudos to Helen for continually delivering a series that only exponentially gets better and better. Unraveled can't get here soon enough. I can't wait to see how this all plays out.

Ryan is the best looking, and most jovial of the Steel brothers. But Ryan has always seemed different than Jonah and Talon. Wracked with guilt from Talon rescuing him as a child from unmentionable terrors, can he move on and be happy?
Ruby Lee has a monster for a father. Can she stop taking on the guilt she feels for the crimes he has committed, and let someone in? Someone who could love her?
This book handles a lot of the triggers well, while also triggering others, so truly be careful if you are sensitive. Also, the smut is a bit outdated in how it is written in my opinion. Certain words that aren't used in most smut driven text are prevalent in this series, and pulled me out of it a bit.
But I am invested in the characters and the story, so I do plan to continue.

Twisted has left me twisted and mind blown.. This is book 8 of the Steel Brothers series and honestly if you are going to have any understanding of what’s going on or why you really need to start at book one and read through. I don’t even know where to start, Ryan has always been one of my favorites of the brothers, this book highlights Ryan’s struggles of love and acceptance of what has been brought to light and learned through out the other books, He has his love of his life the strong and courageous Ruby but she too has some dark past she lives with and battles herself, her sick father, her twisted family past, Ryan’s very twisted family past. There are other clues to the mystery revealed in Twisted as well that are of course mind blowing, we are almost there, we almost have all the answers. I’m so twisted how I feel about this I want more STEELS I need them. Helen has once again done it, and will I’m sure blow us always with the grand finale of this amazing series.

Twisted is a perfect name for this newest addition to the series and though we get several interesting and important details to add to the slowly unraveling Steel Brothers mystery, my favorite thing about this book was watching Ryan and Ruby’s relationship evolve. Ryan begins exploring his desire to dominate Ruby and she realizes Justine how enjoyable embracing her submission can be. While these two are one of my favorite couples in the series, I was not my favorite book. It does still have Hardy’s great writing and the steam one comes to expect from this series.

Ryan has stepped up his dominating game. Ruby is one strong ass chick. Yes Wendy is a freaking mastermind and psycho. Love how the titles of these books have so much meaning. This story is Twisted because I believe Brad Steel is one psycho as well. The Steel brothers are learning slowing about their dad. Ryans feeling are all twisted from finding who is really is his mother, finding out why he was saved, why Talon was kidnapped my Lord so much he has to deal with. Than poor Ruby she knows her father is behind so much more. We're slowly learning more and more in each book.
Once again I must say this series is a must read. I'm here writing on a few hours sleep because I couldn't sleep until I finished this one.

Twisted left me twisted!! The plot thickens, surprises abound, and more questions are left to be answered in the 8th book of the Steel Brothers Saga. Ryan is dealing with the fact that he is a half-brother to Talon & Joe, while trying to be able to trust Ruby again. The brothers are still attempting to resolve the unanswered questions related to Talon's past, and with each new discovery, a new twist arises. If you've never read any of the books, start with book 1 and it will leave you Craving more!
