In today's world, peace is hard to come by.When personal desires are followed, serenity is forfeited. By submitting one's life to God, a peace-filled life is ensured. Maintaining peace is a choice, says Joyce Meyer, as she discusses how to be at peace with yourself, the importance of having peace with God, and the paradox that peace equals power. Joyce says peace is one of the greatest gifts God has given us, and is the only way to true happiness. Readers will find 21 Ways to Find Peace & Happiness to be a guidebook for success on their journey.

Inspired by her own personal journey, Hope Mountain Ranch is a place where people can experience the transformative power of God and find hope and healing. It also serves as the hub for Joyce Meyer Ministries’ outreaches across the United States.
I spent a long time going through this book and absorbing as much as I could. This has to be not just the best book I've ever read on peace but one of the books that I have learned the most from! Practical ways to attain peace with God, peace with myself and peace with others. This is a book I will read again and again and will reference probably for the rest of my life.
A well written and easy to understand "pick me up" whenever your mind and soul need to be refreshed. Joyce Meyer is one of my favorite daily devotional writers and I enjoy her down to earth manner of writing with personal stories and verses of scripture explained. A good book that you can pick up every day for short bursts of encouragement.
Love this book it has been a great help to me pursuing God and His Best for my life. Would definitely recommend it to anyone needing and pursuing godly happiness and peace.
There are not many places in this book where I have disagreed with Joyce Meyer. I have highlighted many places where I agreed with her and were helpful. She even thinks ahead to objections the reader might have, such as when she writes about not eating with sinners. Later she states that Jesus are with sinners. However, she writes that he was very careful when he did.
I did find so places where I did disagree with Joyce Meyer. In Chapter 11, Meyer writes, "Even when I became a believer, I still thought I could achieve approval only through good works. . . . .But eventually I learned that God's grace is better than our works." However, James 2:18 says, "But someone will say, 'You have faith, and I have works.' Show me your faith without works, and I will show you my faith by my works."
Then in Chapter 12, Meyer writes, "Today in America almost every business is open seven days a week." This is just not true. I have suffered lack of peace crises many times when a business I wanted to get a hold of was closed for the weekend . (Now you know where my weakness lies.)
This book is a keeper. I will definitely refer to it when my crises arise. I would highly recommend this book to anyone seeking peace.
It took me two months to complete this book. I thought I would pick up, read, and move on ; but the Holy Spirit made me slow down and meditate on this Word. It seems like the deeper I got into the book the more satan attacked my peace. But, we so know how the story ends, in the end, With God, we win. I will refer back to this book as often as needed as I aggressively pursue peace.
I rated 4 stars because my goodness the chapters are long!
So it probably won't take most people as long to read this as it did me. I'm not a big Joyce Meyer fan. This book was given to me. The book description is very accurate. I think I had trouble getting into it because someone gave it to me implying I needed help but I also don't follow Joyce. About half way through there were actually some good points she made that actually resonated with me....
So may good things in this book. I constantly have trouble feeling at peace. I see how many of these “tips” can help one to minimize the anxiety in life
If I had to recommend one book to everyone in their whole life, it would be this one book! Life altering and eye opening to say the least! Thank you Joyce Meyer!
Let me start off by saying this was my first Joyce Meyer's book and I am NOT a fan of televangelist and their billion dollar ministries. I heard Joyce say one time that she wants to write 100 books and she has so many books that I thought this would just be a bunch of repeated stuff and obvious steps that are easier said than done. BUT I really learned a lot from this book. Even the chapters I felt like didn't apply to me, I read them anyway and was glad I did. She uses scriptures and real-life scenarios to get her point across. I think everyone should read this book. I read it to help with my fear and anxiety but this book is about Peace with God, yourself, and others so really it can be read by anyone. Even if you already have peace and are happy, you can still learn from this book. It will help you if you are single, married, desiring God, lacking faith, want to strengthen your faith, having trouble with people in your household, trouble with people at work, trouble with finances. This book has it all!
God spoke to me through this book and Joyce! She puts things in a way that I can relate to and believe she is preaching God's word. This book provides practical principles to apply to your life starting immediately. I know that keeping my peace and joy will be a daily struggle sometimes but now I can apply what I learned here and God's word to help me along the way.
I adore Joyce Meyer's teachings, both verbally and written. I should say I LOVE God's teachings through Joyce Meyer. She relates to me and she writes/speaks things I should remember, should know about myself and my God. I realize there are other people out there like me.
This is another of Meyer's great reads. It seems like every book that I read from her touches me on some area that I need help in, but this one really did me some good. Great advice and biblical examples of having good relationships and keeping your peace.
This book is so relevant to all of us. Who doesn't want more peace in life! As I finished reading the last chapter I was reminded of people, events, and circumstances that really get under my skin and I almost lost my peace. Ack!
This book is a great help in everyday life. With all the turmoil going on in the world this book can really help. With all the decisiveness this book is a must
Excellent book filled with simple and practical solutions. This one gave me lots of insight and I will reread as well as pick up her other studies on “peace”
