Madison Daley has a lot to learn about her long lost twin...
Raven Redinger is the most feared teen actress on the planet.
A publicity deal with Raven could be her only salvation or her ultimate downfall. Madison is sure she made the right decision in choosing fame and family over love. The twins are determined to win the hearts of the public by faking an instant “twin bond” that doesn’t exist...at least not for them.
But when Giovanni Abate comes waltzing back into her life, Madison’s resolve is tested.
Sisters before misters? That’s a thing, right?
Or is the “Sister Code” just another Hollywood fable?

Madison Daley has had her whole life turned upside down when she discovered the truth about her birth and her past and now her father turned out to be the lead singer of a famous band W3 and her mother turned out to be her all-time favourite actress Jacie Redinger. If that wasn't a big enough surprise , Madison shares her birthday with a twin sister Raven. Have you ever watched the TV show "The Lying Game" with the twin sisters Emma and Sutton. If so then Emma is like Madison, naive and a generally nice person who wants to be friends with everybody and live a happy life being her self and making music. Whereas her sister Raven is exactly to a T like Sutton . A right-jerk who seems to be enjoying pulling the strings and hurting Madison and destroying her as seems like the spotlight is only big enough for one sister and Raven will do absolutely everything in her power to make sure that she is that twin. What I loved about this book was though Raven had tried to mould Madison into her mini-me , Madison didn't let herself lose her personality completely , she might have changed a few things but she still remain true to herself and when things got tough - she headed back to her hometown in Kentucky. What will happen to the family dynamics when Jacie aka Jessica reveals a tragic situation which may lead Raven having to move in permanently with Madison and her family ? The other thing I loved which was a side thing in the book was the fact that Madison was a girl gamer. I really loved the fact that she played WoW and Battlefield and that she wrote in an online journal.
I am now looking forward to Book #3 as to read the development of the Jacie Redinger storyline and whether we may see romance in the air for certain characters.
This book was almost harder to write than the first. It took me so long to figure out where I wanted to go with this series! However, I think the end product is one fans of the first book will love. Prepare for drama, drama, drama!
Such a great YA series. I was so wrapped up in this book I couldn't put it down. Love Madison. It's like you're right there with her in her crazy world.
Oh my!!! I loved this book. Madison finds out a lot about her family in Beverly Hills. She has a sister. But will she ever be enough to be one of the Reidengers ? I loved this story. Madison is my all time favorite
O-M-G!! I NEED the third book NOW! This is the sequel to "Diary of a Rocker's Kid" and it will shock you! So if you haven't read the first novel do so and then immerse yourself in this novel as the female protagonist becomes our heroine.
Adjusting to her new status of being not one but a child of two celebrities and also a twin is something Madison Daley never imagined. Madison quickly discovers the world of Hollywood and fame is a lot to handle, especially when she keeps making media mistakes here and there. Plus she agreed to Raven's strict sister code so they could take the world by storm together. But when Madison begins to find herself molded and shaped into another version of Raven, she questions her choice including the one about dumping Giovanni. So Madison begins to take solace in her music and sets out to build her band, which even includes a sexy drummer who makes her stomach flutter. Though one thing becomes clear to Madison not everything is as it appears in LA and knows she needs help in this new place. So the question is will Madison stick to the sister code or end up opposing Raven?
Overall, Loved it and can't wait for the next book, as in I want it like this very instant. Impatient I know but the story takes a drastic "Oh no they didn't!" turn that will make you just as eager for more. Madison is definitely a spunky character who grows up in this book finding out harsh realities of life and experiencing family drama. I love how Madison finds it in herself to finally take control of her life and not be pushed around, because it's truly easy to be lead by people you trust or should trust. Now let me just say I'm so sad that Raven is such a b*tch, you'll find out why by reading the book. But come on if my sister pulled half of the crap she did we'd have some words or fight, probably words since my mom would have probably slap us both with her chanclas first to straighten us out. Anyways, I also really love the new guy in Madison's life and wish I had him in reality, because he has rhythm, is hot and cooks, umm I need that last one the most. So if you read the first novel read this sequel you won't be disappointed, saddened a bit when it's over but will be eager for the next book.

The Sister Code (D.O.R.K. book 2) by Haley Allison 5 stars!!
Ahhhhh!!! Where do I even start?!! I could not wait to rip into this book after the ending of book one! Book one left me for real hanging and book two pretty much does the same!
In Sister Code, Raven and Mads make a pact to pretty much get in good with the media to up their celebrity status. Raven tries to mold Mads into an identical version of her. Which is funny because, yes they may be identical twins, but the two are as different as night and day. Mads is a sweet, down to earth, girl next door type, trying to make it in the cruel world that is Hollywood. Raven is...to sum it up, a spoiled, entitled, conniving, vindictive...okay, you get my drift...she's an evil b****. I was never really crazy about Raven, and at the twins birthday her true colors come soaring out. Which, in all honesty, wasn't too much of a shocker, but still I wanted to believe that underneath all that ugliness, was a halfway decent person. One person that did surprise me was Gio. I don't want to give anything away, but what a turn of events!!
I cannot wait for book three and the new journey Mads will be enduring. Her and Dalton have their band complete and I'm hoping to hear more about that journey, mixed in with that sibling rivalry of course! I'm really loving some of the new characters in this book and I'm really excited to see where the author takes them. I'm sure book three will be a wild ride and I hope I don't have to wait too long to read it!! Love this series!! B2BKristina

*** 4.5 star review ***
The Sister Code is the second book in the D.O.R.K series by Haley Allison. It is a continuation from the first book so that will need to be read first.
Poor Madison! She's gone from seventeen years on a farm shielded from everything to being thrust into the limelight as she discovers she's not only the daughter of a famous 90's rock star and a famous actress but she's also the twin of Raven Redinger, famous child actress with a mean streak. Not only does Mads have to deal with this but there's the discovery that Raven and Gio used to date and Raven has forbidden her to be with him or have any contact with him. Raven is everything that Madison wants to be but she soon realises that Raven's 'twin' agenda is more for her benefit than for the both of them. Madison gets introduced to her mothers side of the family which ends in true Mads style!!
In this installment of D.O.R.K we see Madison discover that her mother is her all time favourite actress she also, with the help of her dad, stars a rock band. There's still some sexual chemistry between her and Gio which we see end on one hell of a cliffhanger.
I really enjoyed this book and thought there were some good twists and turns in the story line.
I really hope in the next book we see Madison get what she finally deserves. Will she be able to get over what happens between her and Raven and will she make her band a success? I hope so she deserves to be happy!! I for one can't wait to find out!
The first book had me on my toes, but book two is a little crazy. I didn't want to put this book down at all. You have Madison and Raven. They are so different except for there looks. Madison whole life has changed now living in L. A and traveling doing interviews, since she finally found her mother and sister. She is even going to London to meet the rest of her family. This all really hard on Madison she has had a few incidents and in London it keeps happening. It seems Madison cant catch a break. In all of this her dad Mike and Cass have been supportive of her. They help her get through all of this. Madison isn't really sure if the alliance she made with raven is worth it. She try's really hard to make it work between her in her sister, Madison is juggling to fit in, make friends, starting a band and school. This are starting to look up Madison and Dalton found a drummer and bass player. She has made a few friends. I will leave it off here, you really need to read the book. I know I can't wait for the next book to come out.

I received a copy from the author in exchange of an honest review.
The Sister Code picked up right where Diary of a Rockers Kid (D.O.R.K book 1) so you will need to read that first.
Because I don't want to give away any spoilers from book 1 or this book I am just going to say that I loved this book. I love Mads, her dad, Cass , Ana, Dalton, Logan and other characters. I do not like Raven at all, she is evil and doesn't care about anyone but herself. Gio....I loved in him the first book, I am not so sure about what went down in this book, if he was involved in it then he needs to fall off the face of the earth with Raven.
I felt so many emotions while reading this book, I felt like I was right there hanging out with Mads. If she was a real person I think we could be great friends. I am so impatiently waiting for book 3 in this series.
The Sister Code is book 2 in the D.O.R.K. Series. You must read book 1 first.
Madison and Raven have made a pact. They are going on a press release tour to get notoriety and fame. Madison is hoping it will help her when she starts her band. Everyone thinks that they have this instant bond, the twin thing, but they couldn't be more different.
This book has so much drama!! It will keep you turning your pages! Madison and Raven's 18th birthday party??? OMG! WTF!! That was a real shocker!! I simply can not wait for more of this series!! I'm completely hooked!
The writing is beautifully done and the characters really get to you. Haley Allison has a new fan in me!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I do not even know where to begin....when DORK ended I was so sad I was going to have to wait for the next book because I needed to know what was going to happen next to Madison. Haley is a friggin genius!!!! Her writing takes you on a ride....up and down and around theses turns. There were times that I was so angry I wanted to throw my kindle but I couldn't because I couldn't bear to stop reading. Madison's journey through her newly discovered life is full of teenage angst and torment but amazing discovery. I am a HUGE HUGE fan of Haley Allison's from DORK and now she has me completely hooked. I cannot wait for the next book. I fully recommend this series to anyone looking for an amazing read by a new author, this is a series to keep your eyes on!!!! I give this a smashing 5 cupcakes!!!!
*Reviewed for CLiK Book Blog* Where do I start? I was hooked the whole way reading this book. I fell in love with Mads & Gio in Book 1. Gio... Who wouldn't a hot italian boy after you? Gio and Mads were my favourite characters and I wanted to cry at what happened in this book. Raven - Mads' twin sister - is so horrible with a capital H! Poor Mads. This book gave me the feels and I wanted to smack Raven. Can[t wait for book 3!
This one tops the first one, meaning I found it to be much more enjoyable than the first was. It was a book of craziness that would love to go back and read again. Madison and Raven are complete opposites in personality, at least in my opinion. These two characters make this a wonderful journey and a definite muat read. I loved it!
I, Amber McCarty (Imaginative Dreams), was given a copy for an honest review.
This is the second book in the series. Even though I read the first book, I found getting through is book a lot easier and a lot more interesting. This book held my attention throughout the whole book.
Once again you meet Madison and her twin Raven. I instantly take a dislike to Raven from the start. Raven has Madison doing things her way, otherwise there would be consequences if Madison didn't.
After their 18th birthday party, Madison learned what Raven is really like. I can say that I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next between the two girls.
