If your expected the typical book of cheerleader football player then your gonna be disappointed. I thought going into it I knew what to expect and I was so wrong. Be prepared for a twist you won't see coming and possibly a kindle throwing moment.

Cheerleader Amy and star quarterback Jonathan have been dating in high school for the past four years. Jonathan thinks their relationship will last forever. On the other hand, Amy has been bored with their relationship and decided to venture out to find something new and exciting.
While Jonathan is every girl's dream, his brother, Blake, is a bad boy and every girl's desire. Unknown to Amy, Jonathan has a dark side and only she can keep him grounded.
A peeking Tom has been watching Amy and Blake during their times of passion. He watches. He satisfies himself. He visions his knife beneath Amy's soft skin.
Who is this deranged man? Will he kill Amy or please her with his dark side?
In The Dark is a wild and exciting thriller that keeps you intrigued to the end. It is a short story that could have been one hellofa book. I would recommend this book.

In the universe, we unfold to ourselves that which makes us question our decisions through a series of what ifs. What if someone just didn’t care about that- what if we just blocked that from our mind and didn’t question that what we were doing was wrong? Ed Bar answers that and more in his book, In the Dark. As I continued with this borderline of a sexual encounter of a story, I wanted to stop reading with how the very detailed sex scenes were but I pressed on. I was beginning to think that I had started reading an erotica book but I knew that wasn’t the case the further I read into it; the deeper I went, the more I found that this is one book that will touch your psyche in a very disturbing way.

Amy, the cheerleader, and Johnathan- the star quarterback- have been dating in high school. Johnathan is the quintessential all-star football player with matching muscular physic that would make any girl drool over being with him but he shrugs off the others because he wants to spend forever with Amy. Amy on the other hand is getting quite annoyed and bored with how things are going with all-star athlete. She sees something more in bad boy Blake, whom she meets at a party. During some pleasuring of sorts between the two of them, a pervert seems to come about- a peeping Tom if you will. The peeping tom starts pleasuring himself as he imagines killing Amy; it is truly some sick stuff that happens in these pages. Who is this peeping Tom? Will she survive the night? Will Johnathan ever know how uncommitted Amy is towards him? This is one disturbed, deranged, and I’m in shock of how the words on these pages unfold the secret between the four of these characters. Do you dare to open this and be joined in the mind of Ed Bar?

Ed Bar- oh where to start? This deranged mind comes up with some truly dark, sinister actions and questionable ways throughout the entire story; so much so that you will question his methods. Respectfully, I praise Ed Bar. You may be asking yourself why and I’ll tell you: I praise him on the fact that he has the strength and the courage to even come out with this extreme details that transpires in this fictional world of his. In the Dark makes you cringe while respecting what each character is going through- if you agree with how far the character goes into the acts that are raised upon onto their victims. Ed Bar, is a fascinating author and demented if I say so myself. This is his form of art, and it is a chilling, sexual, and disturbing tale. He is talented with his vivid words in the details that make you imagine it if it is right before your eyes.

I love it! So much drama in such a short book. I can see why Amy had a tough choice. Jonathan and Blake are opposites which is usually what women look for in 1 guy. In some parts of the book I found myself rooting for the bad guy. Since Amy wanted a bad boy, she sure got it. Just like any good orgasm, the climax of the story came flooding out at the end.
