As a skydiving instructor with a black belt in karate, Cassie Denver would never have thought facing down a couple big dogs would be a problem.
But great big wolves, that turn into even larger, sexier than sin men, all who want a taste of her body? Now she has a rather delicious problem.
Surrounded by seven of the big bad wolves who all want a shot at being her Alpha in and out of her bedroom, she must choose between them if she is going to save any of them.
One night of mind blowing sex, and soul shattering pleasure with each of them.
A simple problem, with a simple solution.
Except Cassie wants every single one of those wolves on her very own leash, begging for more.
It had been a few months since reading book one when I decided to pick this one up. I figured I had the general gist of the plot down, friend of the heroine from book one who ends up with her own harem of men, this time werewolves instead of vamps. I was not wrong lol. These books are short. Given that, there’s a lot more sex than actual storyline, I mean she has seven mates for goodness sake lol, doesn’t give too much time for plot expansion when she has to spend a little time with each of them. Aside from the sexy times, the little bit of story was fun and played well within the confines of the authors world. Once the book starts it’s not long before you breeze through to the end. I was a little shocked by the author momentarily stunning me with one of the guys deciding not to stick around, so technically in the end she has a harem of six. More than enough if you ask me 😝 It was made to seem like it was one guy leaving but turned out to be another, which I don’t know, felt a little weird to me, I thought she showed a lot more chemistry with the departed than some of the other guys 🤷🏼♀️ Again given the short length I wasn’t overly attached to any of the men so I’m not mad about it. I liked that the heroine was in her older thirties which was a nice change. She’s also spunky and goes after whatever she wants. Cassie is super headstrong, adventure seeking and up for a challenge. She was more than pleased to learn she like her friend would have a whole gaggle of men vying for her attention and love. I think fleshed Out this book would be even better but was still a fun read. The fight near the end wasn’t nearly as exciting as it could have been. That being said this book clearly goes at warp speed, but those sex scenes, well there’s one thing that isn’t always rushed if you catch my drift 😏😏 and Cassie, well this girl loves to get her some 😘😂
Harem of Wolves is the second book in the Stairway to Harem series. I thought it was better than the first book. This one is focused on Cassie, best friend to book one's Addie. This time it's werewolves instead of vampires. Cassie is a strong woman, an adrenaline junkie that teaches karate and sky diving. She's not afraid of a good fight. When surprise circumstances put her in line for the Alpha Female, she has few qualms stepping up to the challenge. But first she must spend time with seven Alpha's then choose her mate at a formal ceremony during the full moon. She also has to learn to shift.
I enjoyed book 2's Cassie after not being a fan in book 1. We get to know her history, her pain and insecurities. We see how strong and caring she is. Her path to healing the pack and empowering the women is a worthy one. She's an equal to the Alpha Male. The Alpha's Lyric, Colt, Keenan, Brennan, Tarack and Havoc all win pieces of her heart immediately, but Raider causes her internal alarms to go off, while Wilder, her bodyguard feels like he's meant to be her's. We get to know each guy when they get their time with Cassie. There's some steamy sex, but also some sweet moments. Addie makes and appearance and Ralph, the healer/Shaman plays his role once again.
This is a quick, entertaining read. There's a good storyline and likable characters. This book has more story than the first book. It's much appreciated. There's action, suspense, betrayal, passion, and love. It's an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon.
Sexy Werewolves & A Strong Woman Who Knows Who & What She Wants!!🐺🔥💘🔥 Harem of Wolves (Stairway to Harem Series #2)
This is a sexy read.😍🔥 Cassie, Alley's friend from book #1, is reluctant to leave the forest & the werewolves. She's especially attached to Havoc. She's felt so at peace with them, for the first time she can remember she's not desperate for a fight or an adrenaline rush!🙏 It becomes apparent why once she's bitten while breaking up a fight amongst the females!😲💥
This was steamy & romantic with some surprises in store too! 🔥💘🔥 A good escapist read.🌟🐺
Loved reading Cassie’s story and her men oh la la. very hot. If you love reading reverse harem then you will love this one. Second in this series and did not disappoint. Was not able to put the book down.
The story was ok, the writing was basic. I really didn't find much humor in the boo, as others claimed. I absolutely love Shannon Mayer, but this, is just ok. It has its place in reading, of erotica with a story.
This is my second time reading Harem of Wolves and I still enjoyed every second of it. It’s a quick, easy and spicy read that is a good way to pass the time.
This book has humor, hotness and a whole lot of heart. Cassie is immediately likable and the male alphas will make you drool. It’s impossible not to fall in love with each of them.
Review #1
I loved Cassie’s journey. Learning that she is actually a werewolf and an alpha at that. She learned quickly about herself and her men. She took what she wanted and didn’t think twice about it. My main problem with this book was the alpha that chose to leave at the end. Although, I’m starting to wonder if this theme of one of the harem leaving will lead to a combined harem in another book. Will Malcom(harem of fangs) and Tarack(harem of wolves) end up and a harem together with currently unknown female? I sure hope so.
The storyline was decent but I felt like all of it was rushed. The characters weren’t deeply developed and the exit of one of the men actually surprised me. Especially if he ends up with his own storyline later on with a different woman. The chemistry was there between the two and the things he said to her actually made me question his integrity once he left. If he meant what he said, he wouldn’t have left in my opinion. This was a pretty short read but I found myself easily distracted frequently. I enjoyed the first book in this series more than this one so I hope the next one meets my expectations.
Better than the one before (for more like a feeling thing than an actual improvement) but still very on the fence about it. I noticed a pattern here: There is a deadline, a death danger situation, one guy in the harem that ends up bailing (for the same reason), a femenine villian who she faces (Who by the way is there for like five seconds), she has to choose one of the guys... yeah. It was a little bit of the same but with different names. Not very impressed, but like the cover though.
I like these books so far but I don't like one of the guys always leaving the harems at the end. It feels really wrong and puts me off BIG time. I'll read the next one and I hope it doesn't keep happening.
Better than the last but not as good it could be,...
Sooo, for me Cassie's story was better in some ways it felt more natural , more organic the way Cassie just be,infer here just felt soo right,.... Ally had some way funny lines at times but Cassie's story just felt more real for me , up sadly they both suffer from the same problem Great ideas but bit enough story to follow it through and give it the support it needed and deserved.... To me both these stories were a bit in conflict w/themselves,great ideas abs concept but not enough to really allow it to develop into something great.... Sighs, mean not matter how good a concept might sound the story has going for it ,it starts to lose something when your only going to give the h a week to to get to know soo many men and then your shoving her into their beds almost 5 seconds after hello ... this had a great and intriguing premise but a shallow h Follow thru ,that why I say the story is in conflict w/itself there were soo many great ideas here, Cassie, Havoc (sorry I just LOVED HIM!!!) we knew from the last story these two would be good for each other but they get almost NO time together ... Another thing that annoyed me , sorry, Cassie's caring for the women and humans and everyone was wonderful but they way everything was rushed through kept what cooks have been a really interesting story in the shallow end ... By the 3rd man I didn't give a damn about sex any more I was skimming , there is more to a harem, reverse or otherwise than sex,but the promise of the story was lost in it and the rushed story... Just gotta say I also HATED how the two men she seemed to have the strongest connection w/were saved to the very last and after she has rather confusing at times sex w/them , it's The End WTH ?!?! No epilogue, no nothing ? I knew it wasn't but felt soo sloppy and HFN, The story soo didn't feel quite ended We should have gotten to at least a glimpse of their live together.. Good idea, shallow execution...
We are introduced to Cassandra or Cassie in Harem of Fangs, she is Ally Swift, vampire queen best friend. Cassie is a no- nonsense woman who doesn't take anything off of anyone. Being a skydive instructor by day and teacher of karate by night, she is used to looking after herself and liking things on the wild side. I really liked her as a character, she is not afraid to say what she wants, do what she wants, and I really liked how she sticks up for those who she believes needs it. Now with such a strong female lead you would need strong male leads. Ms. Dawn delivers. All of the guys bring their own strengths to Cassie, each helping her in just the right way. And the chemistry that she has with each one, is unique to who she is with. I love the dynamic with them all. Hot sex scenes, alpha males, funny one liners that will have you laughing out loud, and a strong alpha female will leave you with a great quick read!
Harem of Wolves picks up fairly quickly, with Cassie stepping in to help an unfair fight. Which in turn sets off a chain of events that has Cassie up for the Alpha female role. She has 7 days and 7 hot alpha males to choose from. Having at the end of a week to choose one to lead with her. Having to choose between Lyric, Colt, Keenan, Brennan, Raider, Tarack and Havoc is going to be tough. Although there is one in the group that she can definitely do without, (will not give any spoilers) and one not in the group who calls to her. With an outside threat over their heads, Cassie is pressed for time on picking a mate, or risk her new found packs safety.
Out of the 4 books, I think Cassie and her men were my favorite. I couldn't stop listening to this series and was so happy it was Audible Escape! I thought Cassie was pretty awesome in her cameo in Harem of Fangs and was so happy to see her get her own love story. Just a little bit about the story: Cassie has to deal with bad alphas and horrible female wolves who want to ruin what could be a great thing (if Cassie becomes Alpha Female to the pack). I loved the dichotomy with various personalities (between the alphas and a beta who knows he isn't really a beta). I loved how strong Cassie was and the parts about her finding her inner wolf and learning to handle her powers/strengths was fun to listen to. I enjoyed this stories progression. I liked the guys took her on different dates, some soooo adorable! I fell for like 3 out of the 6 guys haha. I will say now listening to all 4 of the books, I don't understand the shock/change at the end with one of the alphas. Definitely a loose end that was never resolved unfortunately 😞.
The narration was great in this one as well. I could tell the difference between the guys (ooooh my goodness she made the guys some scrumptious which is tough to do with a female voice!!). I couldn't stop listening, it was a great job. I felt more for this MC and the other characters than I did in the other 4 books and I think the way Aletha approached this was the icing on the cake/helped seal the deal. Great job!!
Wow! Fantastic second book in the Stairway to a Harem series!
I think I liked this book better than Harem of Fangs (and I always prefer vamps over wolves). But OMG, the men/werewolves in this book were beyond sexy...strong, loyal, compassionate, loving...just perfect! Cassie (the Ally's friend who started all this) was rescued from the past vampire queen by ally and Havoc (the Alpha of the Windrun wolf pack) who was being kept prisoner. Cassie and Havoc had a spark from their first meeting. Cassie is a headstrong adrenaline junkie and a born leader. As the new Alpha female, she takes the Windrun pack by storm and invokes changes that were a long time coming. She and her pack of Alphas have some challenges to face, but rise to the occasion. Looking forward to the next book!
This book was heads above the first book in this series. There was more character development so there was more chemistry. I do think 7 men is a lot to connect with in a 200-300 page book so some of the characters had more development than others. The ideas in this one were there I just think the follow through could have been better: more detail about pack life, more detail about Bianca, more detail about Willow and Raider and Lisa. So as much as it was better than the first there were still let downs and holes in the plot that I wanted filled. Also at the end someone leaves and it was out of the blue. There was NO indication in any part of this book that he would leave. He even told FMC how he had wanted her from the beginning. It was so left field.
This is most definitely better than the last book. This one had a little more plot and time didn't pass in a weird way. There was some intrigue between each guy unlike threats one. There was a lot of sex, but it didn't overwhelm the story as badly as the last one. If she was cut back just a hair more and add more intrigue or drama, then she would be hitting the perfect mix. I did like that we got a twist in this one. Things wrapped up too easily though. Still overall a good story.
I loved this book more than the first one. It is full of passion, romance, suspense and sex. Lot and lots of sex. The men are so yummy and I am torn between vampires and werewolves. I think the werewolves take it. I love this book and definitely will reread at some point. I can’t wait to read the next. I read this one too fast but that is just like the storyline, fast paced. Loved it!!!
too much girl hating i was able to look past that on the first book bc it was very little but this one jesus christ you guys the first 3 chapters were filled with guys and the main calling another woman bitch
not here for this bullshit at all i dont understand how a book abt poliamoris and a womans sexualitys can be filled with stuff like that
eh! Loved Shannon's Rylee and Zim stories and couldn't put them down. The more subtle sexual undertones and chemistry between the characters was exciting. This Stairway was gratuitous sex; yes it was hot but I was left wanting a bit more of a story. I'm not planning to read the others in the series.
I fell in love with Cassie in book 1 when she was introduced I loved her spirit and recklessness. Who would ever figure that she would fit in with the wolves so well. Her harem OMG hot and muscular 7 can you imagine 7 men competing for her affection and only 1 night each to do it know matter she made the decision she made at the end loved to read this book and look forward to book 3
These two books were okay, but they didn’t seem to have a lot of depth. The storylines were both pretty shallow, and the characters are one-dimensional. She also wrapped them both up the same way which was a little weird. I’d probably read them again eventually, but these were not my favorite.
Cassie is just finding out that a bite she got as a child was actually a bite by a wolf shifter. Cassie and Havoc met in the previous story and now their journey begins. Cassie is an alpha female wolf shifter and is just finding out what that means. I love this series.
The writing is so smooth nothing gets between you and the page. I was transported to Forest spending every pulse pounding moment with Cassie. Looming danger, sexy loving alphas, and a heroine you pray finds her inner wolf in time. This book was a terrific read.
Very predictable I called this storyline in the book before from just a few things she said in that book. Just like in the first book she has a limited amount of time to pick her mate but spoiler alert she wants them all! Lol It’s not much of a story but it’s an easy book to pass the time & has some good spice!
I love this book not gonna lie there was 2 much sex for me but I flicked though the sex scenes, the storyline was good I loved how she wanted to protect her men and visa versa
5 STARS Very Hot n Spicy reverse harem. or nice term for MFMMMMM wheeeeeeeeeew. Yeah a whole lotta M's there LOL. A whole lotta humor in this book too. I found myself laughing and even snorting a few times and Our Harem keeper's snarky sense of humor!
Wow. I have really enjoyed this series. It has great substance along with hot steamy scenes. I also love the characters. They have such depth for a not very long book. I can't wait to read the next book in this series!
