'Dirty Hitman' was so much fun to read! It was humorous, with some real laugh out loud moments.
I loved the semi-snarky writing style too.
I figured out early on who the main villain was, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the story.
The banter between Jackie and Mickey was on point; it was like they were dancing. Their steamy moments were sizzling, although I felt that their last sexcapade in the book was too long, and kinda' raunchy; to me, it seemed like another person wrote it.
With that being said, Vivian Connelly is a new author for me, and if her other books are as good as this one, she has a new fan!

Fun, fast moving, action-filled mob romance!
Jackie has just recently separated from her cheating husband who made Jackie feel like she was a bore not only in life, but also in the bedroom. Working the late shift as a nurse in the ER one night, her life goes from mundane to madness.
Micky's a hitman with a heart of gold. Sweet, funny, geeky, kind and generous, but he fell in with the wrong "Family" during college and now he's one of their best hitmen. He wants out. He wants to settle down and stop breaking bones for a living. Unfortunately this isn't the kind of job where you just e-mail in your resignation. His bosses don't want him to leave and they're trying to make sure that he dies trying.
When he arrives in the ER after being double crossed and shot, Jackie ends up caring for him and saving his life when the kill team was sent in to finish Micky off. All of a sudden Jackie is on the run with Micky, trying to stay alive, trusting a stranger who kills people for a living and finding her affection and faith in him growing by the hour.
If he gets out of this alive, Micky has to disappear, but will he be able to leave Jackie's heart behind after falling for her?
Exciting, suspenseful, adventure with unexpected twists. Super sexy love story and steamy scenes! And just as a side note, I loved Abraham. He's a supporting character, but he was hilarious and his character just jumped off the page. He gave Jackie and the reader so much insight into the real Micky Steele.

Is the room for love in all of this mess?
Commentary: I started reading this one and realized I had already read it- it's like if I don't mark it on Goodreads, it didn't actually happen! So I re-read it because why not?
I did like it. The banter between Micky and Jackie was fun, and there was a genuine connection. However, I was annoyed that they used each other's names every time they talked to each other. That was strange. It's one of those things they teach annoying middle managers to do to relate to people better ("Always call people by their names") - but honestly, I got it after the first couple of times. That just didn't come off as natural dialogue. Other than that, I really loved the story itself. Micky was more clever than he thought - having her topless to distract his enemies? Genius. And the way he dealt with her ex was perfect.

WOW! Awesome book! Characters are well written & easily come together in this book. Was so engrossed I read cover to cover before realized it had reached the last page. Fast paced, action filled & romantic! I voluntarily read this ARC & this is my honest review

Vivian Connelly has done it again. Another book that you will not want to put down until you are done reading. She takes you on this adventure that keeps you rooting for a happily ever after even though you aren't sure it will happen. Jackie is in the middle of a divorce with a husband that is a piece of work. He wants half of everything even though he's the reason for the divorce. Him and his cheating ways. She's a nurse on the night shift and has a patient to take care of that is in there due to being injured by a gun shot wound. Micky is a hitman and a very good one. It just so happens that he is being set up and 2 guys come looking for him to kill him. When he wakes up in the hospital and see Jackie, he thinks she looks like an angel. When he doesn't expect it, 2 more guys come to the hospital to try and kill him again. When Jackie helps him with one of the hit men he knows that her life is now in danger. They have to leave together and he has to make sure she is safe until he can make things right. Will they be able to get away? Will they find that they are too attracted to each other? What will happen if Micky gets out of the mob? So many of these questions and more will be answered when you pick this book up. This book will keep you at the edge of your seat and not wanting to put the book down. It's well written and so much is going on and well worth your time. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book. Enjoy.

Sexy Crime Noir ♡
O M G...this book frikkin' rocks! Danger, shady characters, damsel in distress, and a hitman with a heart of gold. Micky the hitman meets Jackie the nurse, while in the hospital, recovering from a gunshot wound. Danger ensues, bed pans fly, and Micky & Jackie have to go on the lam. The two have to fight and struggle for their survival as heavy hitters close in...and Jackie starts falling for her Dirty Hitman. Loved every single syllable.

What can I say? Flitted all over the place and eventually I just started skimming it, neither character had much substance to them. Poor development of relationship and story.

It’s strange that I should come across the book after I watched “Polar” on Netflix this weekend. This was an action romance about a nurse who goes on the run with a hitman after she’s targeted by the thugs trying to kill him.
Not bad at all and not too long. I prefer books that are less than 300 pages- not a lot of inner monologues, unnecessary background information, distracting subplots, or dumb twists. Just focus on the main characters- their personalities, their attraction, and how they’ll manage to overcome the obstacles blocking their path to a happily ever after. I’m getting awnrier as I get older.

I chose this book because it was listed on another authors email. It sounded interesting, so I downloaded it through Kindle Unlimited. I can honestly say I loved it! Fast paced, it sucks you from the beginning and keeps going until the end. It also carried a lot of humour, which is my favorite with colorful, unexpected characters.

Great story. Mickey is a hitman that ends up in the hospital and his nurse helps save his life. More than once! Jackie and Mickey are on the run from the mob and they keep getting caught. Things only progress through a couple of days, but they fall for each other fast and end the hunt. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Good read
I loved the ending! This story was about a hitman trying to get out the business, and the nurse who got caught in the middle. I really enjoyed this book. Plenty of action, comedy, heat, and heart. Good read.

Great Read!
This book was even better than I thought it would be. It had a great storyline that flowed nicely, and great characters, I mean you can't beat a vegan hitman... Literally!

My first time reading this author. I'm not quite sure how I feel about this book. Lol. I finished it and I did enjoy parts but at times, I didn't like the dialogue. I'll try another book by this author to be honest

So bad. Jackie seemed more concerned with getting laid than her own safety and for a hitman in the Mafia, Micky was pretty damn quick to give, a woman he just met, his whole life story. Quick read but far fetched writing. First book by this author. DNF @48%

Not what i was expecting at all... Thought it was going to be much harder as well as with a dark edge to it... Found it rather childish at times, but thats just my opinion. I also have never known a vegan to have any leather items, in fact they shun any animal products in general.

This is a fun fast paced read. Micky and Jackie have great chemistry and the story is fast paced with plenty of suspense and drama. I really liked it!

Don't let the title fool you. Micky is not your usually run of the mill hit man. College educated, kind and giving and with morals. The only bad guys he goes after are the scumbags that the world is better off without. But Mickey want out of the mob and gets shot trying to accomplish that. Mickey meets Jackie a nurse when he wakes up in the hospital. He thinks he has died and some how gone to heaven because Jackie looks like an angel to him especially when she saves him from another attempt on his life .
Be sure to read this exciting adventure about a good bad guy and the nurse who's boring life becomes anything but as they go after their HEA. There are plenty of surprises and touching hot love scenes that kept me turning the pages of this excellent well written book.

After everything that Micky has done and seen, he just wants to get out. But first he has to survive one fateful attack that puts him in the hospital. His sexy nurse thinks her life is boring and trying to deal with an out of control ex that doesn't want to sign the divorce papers. One things leads to another, and they both find themselves on the run. It all happens too fast, and one night is all it takes for them to fall in love. Micky just doesn't see it that way. He thinks what he is doing is for the best for them both, but his boss has different ideas. I absolutely loved this book. I voluntarily read an Advanced Review Copy of this book.

They find that they have amazing chemistry but, their time together is not meant to be permanent. Jackie has her nursing job at the hospital and a home and Micky wants to move to a tropical island.
This is a fast-paced, adrenalin pumping, suspenseful romance. I highly recommend it!

Mickey and Jackie are a couple that on the surface should not be together. There are plenty of twists and how they end up together definitely shows the resilience of a person to push through anything. It was definietly interesting to see where the story ended up and that there was an HEA in the end. I voluntarily chose to review a copy of this book.

I enjoyed this story. It's faced paced and entertaining. Micky wants out of the hitman/mob life and has gotten together his buyout payment when all of a sudden he has people trying to kill him. He survives and ends up in the hospital. This is where he meets Jackie, as she is his nurse. They are attracted to each other right away and as Jackie is wrestling with the fact that her cheating ex-husband called her boring she is thrown into the middle of Micky's adventure. Jackie couldn't just stand by while someone tries to kill him in her hospital. She helps in and in turn continues to be in the middle. Micky wants to keep her safe so he tries to keep her as un-involved as possible at first and then keeps her close to keep her safe until it's all over. There is plenty of action in this story and their are multiple attempts on Micky's life. The sex is explicit and fits the characters. I thought the story was entertaining. I enjoyed the characters and the story.

This story was filled with romance and action! I had so much fun reading it. I loved the story from the first page to the last and fell in love with Micky!
Mickey is a hit-man for a friend and his father, the head of a local Mafia family. He is great at his job but finds himself having been set up and almost killed. When the police mistaken his identify the ends up in the hospital with a wonderful caring nurse, Jackie. Jackie is a nurse with ex-husband troubles and the belief that she is boring. When the opportunity arises she and Micky flee and do what they can to survive. The adventure starts and doesn’t stop! I was on the ride of my life with these two and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I loved Micky’s was of distracting the bed guys and his ability to be sweet and caring at the same time. Jackie was a fun woman who was not boring just chose the wrong man initially. Through I found the “bad guy” to be predictable it did not take away from the adventure and hot ride that this story took me on. I look forward to more adventures with this author! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. Wow! What a great read. I really enjoyed Micky and Jackie's story. From the moment they met there was no stopping them. I really liked the way the two connected from the beginning. This was a story full of everything. Humor at times, action for sure, suspense as to what would happen next and of course a great ending. What happens in between makes for a sexy fun read. The two have great chemistry from the start. He may have car jacked her rental but She had him from the beginning. Micky is just trying to get out of the line of work he is in while trying to avoid the people after him but he is a good guy. Jackie is just trying to survive after a messy divorce and an ex who wants her to let him have the house that she pretty much paid for. To her being taken by Micky is like a vacation from what is going on in her life. These two were great Another wonderful book by Ms Connelly.
