Cullen grew up in rural North Carolina, but now lives in the St. Louis area with his wife Cindy and his son Jackson. His noir/horror comic (and first collaboration with Brian Hurtt), The Damned, was published in 2007 by Oni Press. The follow-up, The Damned: Prodigal Sons, was released in 2008. In addition to The Sixth Gun, his current projects include Crooked Hills, a middle reader horror prose series from Evileye Books; The Tooth, an original graphic novel from Oni Press; and various work for Marvel and DC. Somewhere along the way, Cullen founded Undaunted Press and edited the critically acclaimed small press horror magazine, Whispers from the Shattered Forum.

All writers must pay their dues, and Cullen has worked various odd jobs, including Alien Autopsy Specialist, Rodeo Clown, Professional Wrestler Manager, and Sasquatch Wrangler.

And, yes, he has fought for his life against mountain lions and he did perform on stage as the World's Youngest Hypnotist. Buy him a drink sometime, and he'll tell you all about it.

I almost gave up reading Trinity, but now I'm glad not to. Trinity #8, although it is a totally unnecessary and just a big tease to what this Rebirth thing is all about, it is as enjoyable as the main issues. The Supes vs. Supes (the New 52 and the pre-N52) fight here is a sight to see. And oh yeah, if you want to see a montage of character designs, you ought to read this!

Trinity #8 is an inconsequential Superman v Superman brawl that could have been averted with a simple conversation.

The message is clear though: someone is out there to weaken our big boy blue, therefore weakening the whole roster of DC heroes, starting from the Trinity, the League and perhaps the Titans next. But again, in the end Trinity #8 is just a filler issue.

Again, an okay issue. I wish DC would finally get into some of the continuity-wide plot and quit teasing it out.

I think I read something similar in Justice League: Beyond! What a useless issue! Must be the calm before the storm ...

Part of Superman Reborn story arc tie-in , more like an epilogue . Mostly sets up stage for the next story of Trinity but also touches on the whole Watchmen-rebirth-Superman issue. Art was decent , story was Okay for a epilogue/prequel . Not recommending it to be bought , since it is of no significance to either the future Trinity story (believe me I have read that) or the Superman reborn story

This issue did more to make me excited about Doomsday Clock than the four-issue "The Button" crossover between Batman and The Flash. Why?

Because someone's been pulling Supes' strings for a while. But why ...? Suddenly the reemergence of a pre-New52 Superman seems more weighty than just restoring a "traditional" Superman/Clark.

The stage has been set with Rebirth, and with each issue referring back and dripping down little elements of what, who, why and when the tension to ramped up just that little bit more. Bunn did great work with making the waters murky across what we think we know in the DC Universe at the moment. This title is a must read for anyone reading anything across the line at the moment.

I've always said the weakest thing about Rebirth is the way it makes the transitory nature of comic book narratives explicit. Shame Bunn is being saddled with this nonsense when the previous issue promised a more interesting trajectory. Helluva bait and switch.
