Networking is an important facet of finding what you want in your career and your life. Liz Lynch does an excellent job of compiling useful information to network effectively and efficiently. A lot of the book pertains better to someone who is looking to start their own business, or who already has their own business and wants to expand. As someone who was searching for personal networking advice, to be able to secure a career or find opportunity, I found that there were useful items in the book - they just had to be gleaned from what was written.

I have been using some of Liz's tips and techniques and have found them to be quite fulfilling, albeit not in the way I had initially thought they would. I would recommend this to anyone who's a bit "shy" when it comes to networking, it's really not as bad as it's made out to be. With the proliferation of online networking sites, like LinkedIn, there are a lot of good, useful tips brought forth that can be easily integrated into your new networking life.
