I was disappointed in both Céline and Brian. First of all Céline. Her husband of 5 years was killed and within 2 months she already married to someone else? Then she finds out that Brian knew all along who ordered the kill and lied to her and she forgives him? Worse the same person tried to kill her and he didn’t not do anything about it. As for Brian, he didn’t love Céline as he was saying. His business was first which is why he was happy to keep Sade around and even promote her. He also loved her and couldn’t care less about Caleb. In my mind Brian would have had to grovel a lot more to get forgiveness and deal with Sade without having to be asked. The book needed better editing too.

My Thoughts....
Wow, what a wild ride as this author's story keeps your attention as you are turning the pages to see what was coming at you next. I enjoyed how the second book continues on from where the first story left off giving the reader one heck of a good read. This was definitely one of those story that was full of action and the reader will definitely know who is the boss as well as the queen [Brian & Celine]. I would suggest that the reader read the first book before reading this second one for a better understand of just what had happened earlier in the story. All in all this was a good fast read.
Man…ole girl got on my dang nerves. Like…this man has told you that you won’t ever be his Queen…but yet and still you’re following behind him because you LoVe HiM🥴.
I knew that Celine wasn’t going to let her get away with her disloyal behavior. Like…the woman was married and not even in the life anymore but you still gunning for her because the man you want is still in love with her and the other guys in the organization have fond memories of her. Jealous of a woman who doesn’t even know who you are.
After all the clean up in this book, I’m wondering what’s left to put in the last book.
Book 4 of Shelf September Whew, chile… this book had me locked in like I was binge-watching my favorite messy, dramatic series! From the very first page it felt like I was pulled straight back into the storm where book one left off. Non-stop twists, jaw-dropping drama, and that heat that makes you lean in closer like wait… did that just happen?!
Now yall, let me tell you…Sade worked my nerves! Sis, how many times does a man have to tell you “you will never be his Queen” before you stop embarrassing yourself? But nooo… she out here doing the absolute most over a man who’s still in love with another woman. Like ma’am… jealous of someone who doesn’t even know you exist? Whew. Couldn’t be me.
Celine though? Baby, she came back swinging, sharper and colder than before. Mama Devereaux stayed dropping wisdom while also making it very clear she wasn’t to be played with. And Brian? He finally started redeeming himself (even though he had a little stumble). I’ll give him that.
The action was fierce, the chemistry was fire, and that final showdown? Cinematic. I legit felt like I was watching the scene play out on screen. By the time I hit the last chapter, I was like okay… what could they possibly have left for the finale? But if this family has taught me anything, it’s that they always have more smoke waiting.
Fast, sexy, ruthless- this was a ride. And now I’m ready for the last book because I know it’s about to be chaos.
Stephanie Nicole Norris got me again! I won’t lie—I’m a Stephanie Nicole Norris fan through and through. But Beautiful Assassin took me a minute to get into. I listened to it on Audible, and to be fair, I have to take the blame for the rocky start—I accidentally used a credit for Book 2 before Book 1! Rookie mistake, I know.
Once I got myself together and grabbed Book 1 with another credit, the story flowed much better. Overall, it was a good read, but I think I would’ve appreciated it more as a standalone. That second credit? Yeah… I probably would’ve waited for the library if I’d known ahead of time.
I think I’m more of a Heart of a Valentine type of reader than an Assassin series lover—but hey, variety keeps the bookshelf spicy!

I love a good gangster story especially when the women are just as bad as the men.I loved this, story it read just like something out of a movie. The storyline was on point and it was well executed.I loved the main characters Brain and Celine, they were a little reminiscent of Pam Grier and Jim Brown with the updated version of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. This just such a good solid story ,with no down time.I would love to revisit this couple just to see how they deal with day to day and threats to the family all the while dealing with kids and pregnancy. If you are looking for a good story and series this is it.
....for some. Brian and Celine did the damn thin and are doin the damn thing. And....Sade got hers, ole disrespectful ass. Should have bowed out first and foremost but noooo. When shit REAL between Boss Man and Celine she certainly should have bowed down again, noooo, so sucks for her good for me. First time reading this author picked a good series to start.
I'm happy to have read this series! I couldn't be more pleased with the ending. I was getting disappointed over the whole "forgiveness" stage and thought that Celine was not who I thought she was in terms of personnality but wow, the ending just confirmed that the author kept her true to her character. I loved Brian throughout the first book but he disappointed me a little in this one. But again, it was awesome!
Lots more excitement and romance. My boo Brian redeemed himself, even though he had a little slip up. Celine bounced back, badder than ever, ready for some serious action. This was just as hot and sexy as the first book and the final battle was written perfectly. I could see it as plain as if I were watching t.v. I would love to see someone else try to take on the Devereaux Organization, I guess I'm just being greedy, but I'd be all over it.
Another SIZZLING romantic/suspense THRILLER...once again I was CAUGHT UP in Brian and Celine’s Saga...the chemistry and love between these two is OFF-THE-CHARTS...and their anger is just as INTENSE when someone/something sets them off...WATCH OUT...the action and drama is very ENTERTAINING...I wouldn’t mind reading more about the Devereux Organization and the remaining crew members...especially Marcus...unexpectedly SURPRISED...well done Mrs. Norris!
I read both and it was just too much killing for me. Celine is very immature and came off as a reckless person verses a Queen. Even though Sade accepted being a side piece. I liked her character better than Celine's. When they killed all of those ppl at Simon's. I was finished with the story and lost interest in reading book 3. BUT I have loved every other book I've read by this author. Maybe the urban, thuggish stories are not for me.
This book was action packed from the beginning to the end. Celine and Brian really loved each other, but they really had some unresolved issues that they had to address. I really loved Marcus and he was truly a right hand man to Brian. The story flowed effortlessly and was easy to follow. So I’m really curious to see how this series end since Brian and Celine owns the city now.
This is an awesome continuation of this series. Celine is still on a mission to alleviate the world of anyone who helped to take her husband's life. She is kidnapped and Brian goes to free her. Her last mission is Sade. Brian and his crew eliminated the last Boss. Now Celine is truly Queen but there is more to conquer. Great read from a fabulous author.
Stephanie Nicole Norris all I can say is you are a gifted writer. I never read a action/romance novel before. To have a woman (Celine) at the front of things was brilliant. My one point is Sade had to leave here, and that's exactly what happened with her. That made me live the series even more. Keep up the good work. Five stars for originality and style.
These series are so good I read them in two days and couldn't get enough of them. She was the real mvp in the organization. Brian was getting too soft for my taste and his wife barely had love for anyone who double crossed her. Can't to read part three about the queens court.
Whoo is all I can say! This book was filled with so much passion. Brian & Celine were definitely meant to be together. They are like yin & yang. I don't know why Sade thought she would be able to turn things around but she kept digging herself into a grave. I love the loyalty that Marcus has for Brian. But will Felix be their next issue?
I was hesitant to read these books at first. I’m so addicted to Steph’s love stories I didn’t think this book would give me what I needed. Boy, was I WRONG!! I was on a cruise and couldn’t stop reading long enough to get in the pool🤣🤣. Thanks again for always giving us your best!!!
I'm doing this review on the series so far. This is a fun action packed series. There were so many twist and turns in these 2 books to keep you reading. There is suppose to be a book 3 coming but I don't know when since it been 2 years since this was released. Either way I still liked it.
Wow! You don't play with The Devereaux family, they are ruthless! Sade was foolish to think she would not get karma as well as Zeus and Simon! Celine and Brian fought to the death. Mama Devereaux was a wise woman but she didn't play! Great read done in a couple hours, now on to the finale!
Celine, Celine, Celine the Queen does not play about anything especially her man! I want to get to the next in the series so bad but I'm still reeling from this one. Somebody find Marcus a woman; he seems like such a good guy. Remember to breathe while reading this book because you will be holding your breath A LOT!
Stephanie Nicole Norris is one heck of an author. She engages the reader, and has you rooting for some characters, and hating others. She did her thing with this one. I don’t know how I missed the first book, but I am going back to read it. Time well spent reading this book and most all of her work has not disappointed me. Keep writing.
Good finish to a wonderful book series. I'm sucker for a love story so this book hit the mark on giving me what I love so much with love stories without having senseless drama for the sake of having drama. Good read!
Wow!! What an ending to the story! Celine is Queen B, and Brian will not have it any other way. Both books were action packed mixed with love, sex, and boss status. I enjoyed reading this series.
I enjoyed both books. Celine was a force to be reckoned with. I thought Carter would get to live but I see it wasn't in the cards. Glad Marcus was able to refrain himself because him and Brian were to close to mess that up
Well if you are looking for a ride this series is everything!
I'm a fan of Ms. Norris since I picked up the first Rose installment and I have to say this was a great and unexpected departure from her norm and I loved every word. This is a can't miss read.
Revelations was pretty good. Not as much action as I was expecting, but I did enjoy it. I think the mole issue was resolved, but not sure. Looking forward to the next book.
The final part of this two part story was every bit as violent as the first. It really is very brutal and the characters portrayed have no moral scruples at all. They are cold blooded killers first and last. If you like this type of story this will fit the bill admirably.
I think I loved part 2 more than part 1 because I got to see Celine more in the role at a Queen making boss moves. She knows how to go to war! Can't wait to see what's next.
