5☆+ A Fun, sexy and Endearing read, Absolutely loved it!
The first book in a two part series!
WOW OH WOW...what a book. Kept me reading till the early hours I was hooked! It's fast, Exciting, incredibly sexy and Lane and Adam are the perfect match!!... well only if they could just see it!
Lane is incredibly clueless when it comes to relationships and sex. After a really bad first time, and it being publicly announced over facebook it's no wonder she's left wounded!
That's when she decides she is going to find her self a Man who is highly experienced, willing to give himself to her for 3 entire months, and teach her to become a better more experienced sexual lover!
Along comes the charming, womanizing, sexy, Alpha Male Adam..... Sarah's brother!
Sarah is one of Lane's best friends.... She thinks Lane is absolutely crazy writing out a paid contract for sex lessons.
So Sarah and Erica (Lane's other best friend) decide to send Adam round to put her off this crazy idea!!
I mean what could possibly go wrong????
Oh I don't know.... maybe the fact the the second Lane opens the door to see Adam walk in, he's intrigued by her inability to let go, her shyness and awkwardness, yet she remains shut down from her emotions.
He sees her as a challange...he wants to melt her ice and unleash her fire!
After all he has a sneaky suspicion she is a minx, in the bedroom and he can't wait to find out so he immediately signs her contract agreeing to the terms.
He does not realise what he's about to let himself in for.... can the commitment phobia he has truly allow him to ever fall in love? Is Lane the one to break him down!!.
So the story begins, the fun starts and the lessons unfold. Each one carefully constructed to stop Adam pinning Lane down and making passionate wild love to her. He restrains himself long enough to build the anticipation and desire she deserves leaving her begging for more!
I absolutely loved every single character. Lane and Adam are damaged souls, as the story uncovers you get to really appreciate their backstory. Both have family issues but for different reasons which in turn bring them closer together.
Lane is charming, she is so awkwardly endearing and clueless all at the same time. I fell in love with her character straight away. She has this ability to show her vulnerable side and you can't help warming to her.
Adam is incredible charming. I was willing them to get together. I love seeing he's character unravel, the sensitive side, he's rage and anger, he's jealous side, then protective. Lane brings out the best in Adam. It's beautiful to see.
I laughed alot, the escapades especially the 'Royal Flush' was so funny. ( you will have to read to find out more)
It was incredibly sexy but not over the top, aiming to get you hot under the collar...but then you would be laughing. A real bag of emotions.
A Fabulously read, I was hooked from the very first page. I am downloading book 2 to my kindle 'The Dating Game' as I write this review I'm so excited.
I spoke to the Author regarding if they were a standalone novel. She said each one can be read on their own. However the characters are intermingled I personally LOVED the first book and I'm glad I read this one first.
Do i recommend this book..... 100% YES!!!!
I urge you to read this book is you love fun, sexy, steamy books with a difference. Great for readers who love Rom Com, Romance, possibly Chick Lit.
This book does contain alot of sexual scenes and language which some readers may not find suitable. So caution especially to younger readers.

I really enjoyed this book. I was extremely happy to get the chance to read it. The story is pretty much the same as most romance stories, but it goes about it in a little different way which I was fascinated by. It also kept my interest throughout the whole book. There was never a slow part and the story just kept moving and kept things exciting. In this book, Lane Davis has always been the odd one out. She was always focused on school and trying to be successful. Because of this, she never got to experience things that most people do, especially when it came to sex. But when she finally found the guy to do it with, it was tragic and he had gone about it in a very wrong way. In my opinion, it had to have been a terrible experience, especially for your first time. But she decided to move past it. She was still very inexperienced, so when a very handsome guy named David came her way, she wanted to impress him. This is where Adam comes in. She wanted Adam to help her gain the experience and knowledge so that she wouldn’t disappoint. But out of this arrangement, something came along that neither of them were prepared for. At first I was really confused and concerned about his arrangement. I thought that Lane was out of her mind to come up with this kind of plan, but in the end, it seemed to all work out. Even though I didn’t quite understand the initial plan, I loved how things went about. Lane had one idea of doing things but Adam went about it in a completely different way. It wasn’t just about sex, it was about seduction. This is the main reason why I really enjoyed this book. A lot of people focus on the actual sex act, but no one really thinks about the seduction. To me, that can make things more exciting and fun. Learning how to seduce properly and make anyone week at their knees would be very exhilarating. The beginning parts of a relationship are always the most exciting because your heart flutters, your head spins, and you can’t really think straight. It can be the best feeling ever.

This book was a rollercoaster. I LOVED some parts, but sometimes I was scratching my head at what was happening? It was a weird mix of enjoyment and annoyance. That’s the best way I can think to describe it.
There were some really cute, special moments between Adam and Lane though! At first - I won’t lie - I thought the pairing was SO off. I actually like that the author proved me wrong in a sense and made me work to see the two come together and start falling for each other 🥹 Cause’ I swear those interactions when Adam was all protective of Lane just melted me. Not to mention that bracelet with the charms of everything they’d done together?? stop it right now
Also also also, why did Sarah get a book over Erica? 🤨
Anyway, I just have to mention how much of a sucker I am for the ~player showing the inexperienced girl the ropes trope. I need to find more books with it!!!!!
Trying to catch up with Avril's back catalogue. I enjoyed this one a lot - great premise - beautifully executed by Avril.
I liked Adam and Lane's relationship and their journey to a happy ever after! We always knew that it would be Adam not David who won her but I liked how Avril got us there!!
As always the dialogue was fabulous.
Not always sure about some of the minor characters but overall, this was excellent and definitely worth a read!
Sensual and romantic - a difficult balance to achieve, but Avril always seems to manage it!

Form me this book took a few chapters to really get into. Once I found my groove it was easy finishing it. We have our two main characters. The first is Adam who isn't much of the relationship type and love to play the field. Then we have Lane who is a thinker and try's to stay on the more logical side. One of my biggest issues I have about the story is has to deal with why the characters set up the "arrangement" she was insecure because she was belittled by someone else she use to be with and took it to heart. Her self confidence was tattered so it's not really the best reason for going into said arrangement, that being said it was also for "educational purposes on her end. That was really the only issue I had with this book. Not one of my favorite themes, but once I move past that I enjoy the book. Again it's a very cute and easy read, so It made up for the dislike I had.

I enjoyed this book. The premise was a bit over the top, but it was still entertaining. Lane has decided that she wants to hook up with one of her co-workers, but she feels her experience is lacking in comparison to his, so she concocts a scheme where she will contract with someone for a 3 month period to teach her the art of sex. Her friends think she’s crazy and try to thwart her plans, but it backfires. Lane ends up in an arrangement with Adam, the brother of one of Lane’s friends, who’s a no relationship, one and done kind of guy. Lane feels this will work for her since she looking at this as a teacher student relationship. Adam is hoping to get out of the arrangement but he ends up liking her. Needless to say, they fall in love, but since this is a romance novel there is the typical miscommunications and misunderstandings.
Lane is a linear thinker and Adam is an alpha male. She tends to be a bit thick headed at times and doesn’t understand personal situations or relationships. Adam is horrible at explaining things to her and often times knows he’s making things worse in real time. They’ve both had their own personal drama that’s shaped their views on relationships, Adam more than Lane. The book overall is a cute, fun and satisfying read.
I recieved an e-copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review. I really enjoyed this book it was a cute chick lit read and funny at times. Lane decides she needs help with her sexual skills so she hires Adam for three months to show her some skills. Adam's sister is friends with Lane and she thinks the idea is stupid and sends her brother to try to scare Lane into not going through with the contract. Adam sees that Lane is determined to go through with the contract and decides that he is a better option than someone else who may hurt her and signs on the dotted line. Things progress from there and don't actually work like Lane wants them to. I would definitely recommend this book to someone looking for a light fun beach read or w ho really enjoys the chick lit genre.
This book took me a bit to get into it, but once I did I couldn't put it down. Lane wants David. David's flirted with Lane. The problem? Lane has zero experience with the opposite sex except for the horrendous occasion of losing her v-card. So what's a girl to do? Hire someone for man lessons of course!
Still with me after that tidbit? Good because its worth it. Enter Adam. Lane's best friends brother, a cronic commitment phobe, and the guy who's supposed to talk her out of it. But best layed plans don't always work out, and instead he ends up signing her contract.
From there we follow these two trying to resist their attraction while working on attraction and seduction lessons, what could possibly go wrong?
Lane wants to win over handsome David, but she worries about her performance in the bedroom. So she wants to hire someone to teach her. Her best friend thinks she's crazy and convinces her brother Adam to go to Lane and behave bad so Lane will give up her idea.
But when Adam meets Lane he somehow signs the contract.... and when he tries very hard NOT have sex with Lane he somehow ends up in bed with her. And dating her, and enjoying time with her...
I really liked the story and enjoyed it. Even when Lane is a bit strange and a doormat with her own family (because of a tragic thing in her childhood). I did think both MC's were a bit hardheaded near the end and I wanted to smash their heads together. That does seem to be a theme with this author. But the fact I bought more books by her says enough.

I am Lane. Lane is me. Her lack of confidence, trying to please people who will never love her ... that's me. But the way she keeps going, holding herself together, and doesn't give up on finding her "happily ever after"? That's me, too.
Tremayne literally brought me to tears a few times with Lane's story. I loved the friendships she shared with Sarah and Erica, and how those girls loved and protected Lane fiercely.

I really enjoyed this book. Lane is looking to hire someone to teach her all of the ins and outs of the bedroom. Adam is sent in by Lane's friend to try to dissuade her from her crazy plan, only to find himself signing her 3 month sex contract. I liked these 2 together. It took me a little while to warm up to Lane. Some of her actions seemed teenager and not the 23-24 year old she was suppose to be. I began to understand her more as the book continued and could not wait for these 2 to open their eyes and stop dancing around each other. Adam I loved from the very beginning. A tall, dark and sexy 29 year old architect?? Yes, PLEASE. Good book. I enjoyed the side characters as well, and look forward to reading Sarah's story in The Dating Game!
Avril's writing always makes me happy. I disappear into a light-hearted witty romance with every one of her books so this was a welcome diversion to my hectic, non-romantic life!
A really good book - well written and fun. NB - I did think I'd read this before however and have just discovered the story was released as "The Contract" a couple of years ago (which I read). Kiss Don't Tell is an expanded version.
Lane had a disastrous sexual experience with one of her co-workers who was douchy enough to describe all the horrible details on Facebook for all their coworkers to see. But Lane sucked it up, looked for and then found a better job at a new company with better pay and benefits, so bye-bye douche. With her career on the right trajectory, she decides to hire someone to teach her how to have good sex. Why now? Because there is a hot stud at her NEW PLACE OF WORK that she wants to sleep with.
Did this woman NOT learn anything from her first (and only) experience?
Oh, and did I forget to mention that this no-nonsense business woman is only 23?
At 40% I may stop reading. I will take it to 50% and make my final decision but so far there is not ONE redeeming quality to make me like Lane. She's good at her job - but is such an introvert that she doesn't know how to be with a man in any kind of social setting. She doesn't seem to laugh or have a good time - even with her friends. So then, why should I care that she's hired her friend's brother as essentially a gigolo so she can learn to have sex? Now if she was stuffy at work and with others but then magically transformed into a fun person around animals... I could root for her. But so far, as written? Yawn. Totally not worth my reading time. Sorry, Lane.
The premise could have been so much better. We'll see how the next 10% of the book plays out but if I don't come back and change this review? It means I didn't bother finishing.
Thanks to Netgalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I’m really sorry to the author because I don’t like giving negative reviews because I know writing is hard, but I have to get this one off my chest because the fact I can’t finish this is haunting me.
I really wanted to like this story but holy crackers every time I pick it up and read a few pages, I get bored out of my brain. Soooo slow. Too much navel freaking gazing and repetition.
The characters don’t know what they want and there is so much inner chatter and not enough external stuff going on. It’s like the characters are just standing there thinking all day long.
I chose this book because of the premise and I read a preview of one of the authors others books and liked her writing style. Gosh I’m disappointed with this story though.
There is no true conflict. Just the two characters not opening up and saying how they feel about each other. The way Adam was teaching her lessons Argh, please shoot me. No guy on the face of the planet would be like that let alone a hot stud who previously had women at his beck and call. Why is he even bothering with Lane because she’s as boring as bat shit anyway. Sorry but she is, and thick as a plank to boot.
Sorry I think I’m going to have to mark this as DNF because it’s torturing the hell out of me. I’m almost 100% certain the ending will be the two end up together end of story.
This was a cute read although it's entirely predictable.
After I finished reading, I looked up the author and wasn't suprised to find that she has written for Mills & Boon. Of course, this novel is a bit more modern but I notice similar storylines to this have appeared in her M&B romances.
Adam and Lane definitely had chemistry and I liked how Adam took things slowly at first on the sexual side of their relationship. Lane kept mentioning that Adam was alpha male but I have read hundreds of books with an alpha male hero and to me, Adam didn't quite fit the part.
It was a cute read. I was interested to see there is another book about Adam's sister Sarah and David also from this book. I requested it from Netgalley but sorry to say, I didn't enjoy it as much as this book.
Love the story and the unique way of approaching what could have been a run-of-the-mill contemporary romance. I really felt Lane's angst and her desperation because of her bad experience. And Adam is just the man she needs. I love the quick dialogue; this author's voice is very unique and I couldn't put the book down.
Total chick lit, but I am down when the Protagonist looks like Jason Mamoa and screws like Khal Drogo (but with that added, sexy "consent" element we all love so much.
