When a family is kidnapped a husband has no choice but to do whatever he has to in order to keep his family safe, even if it means taking the life of the innocent. When a man's family is being held captive there's no telling how far a father is willing to go for the sake of his children.
Meet Keyon an ordinary family man who finds out the hard way that one bad decision can cause a life time of pain and suffering. Keyon's heart and will is pushed to the limit as he finds himself doing things he himself didn't even know he was capable of doing all because he and his family was at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Southside book and writers club book of the month of December 2017
As I was reading wrong place wrong time I could feel emotion from each character. The good, the bad, and the ugly. The story line was well written, and it held my attention as I turned from page to page. It made me feel different emotions, mixed feelings as well as I continued to read. It shows how someone will do Anything for the ones they love. It shows love, courage, anger, struggles of everyday life, how many try to make a way, and get lost or caught up in a circle they do not want to be in. This book shined a light acknowledging so many obstacles in ones way that sometimes doing whats wrong instead of what's right is the easiest choice to make. It makes you question what would you do if you were in the wrong place at the wrong time in different aspects of life.
Kenyon is a stand up guy and will do anything to protect his family! When things go haywire and out of his control, he gives his all to get his family life back to normalcy but is it enough? I enjoyed this read, with the twist at the end I wasn't ready for.
That ending was like 😮. I thought for sure that Jesus was going to make it. Keyon got the raw end of the stick here. I knew Omar wanted the family dead, but to steal a wife. That's foul. Silk White never disappoints. This was definitely a good read. Never a dull moment.
I close 5 stars because it was great it was suspense it had me on the edge of my seat I can't believe keyons stupid wife set him up like that I thought he was going to get away with everything oh well
This book was very disappointing. Although it was a quick read, it was very unrealistic. Even though the main character thought he was protecting his family, I don't think an average family man could just go around with 3 thugs robbing and killing innocent people. The book even eluded to the fact that he started to feel proud and good about himself. Then there was the woman whose house he broke into escaping the police. She knew he was a killer but enjoyed having him around because he she was lonely. Really? This woman had a chance to turn him in, but know she goes to the store for breakfast and when he leaves suggests they see each other again. Further, after him and his family are let go, they just return home to a normal life until the police show up to arrest him. Oh yea then the wife runs off with the drug dealer the thugs owed money to because they planned the whole thing and the husband ends up in jail, the other thugs get killed and the daughter no one knows. The whole book made absolutley NO SENSE. 👎🏽
The story started off really good and I was excited about the direction it was heading in. Sadly at 29% things took a turn for me and try as I might, I couldn't get passed it.
I am one of those people who can bypass grammatical errors, a few misspellings, even a hiccup in the formatting. If a story is good, my brain will begin to read on autocorrect, fixing what's broken and keeping me locked in the story. I do it all the time. HOWEVER, what I cannot bypass is something that doesn't make sense in the overall scheme of things. That right there I just cannot do.
So it was a five star read until 29% then sadly fell off.
My name is K Sherrie, And this is just my opinion.
Southside Book and Writers Club Book of the month.
WPWT; is a good read, the story-line came as a complete surprise to club members. What would you do for the sake of another, family, or someone dependent upon you? This book made you question that, it also made you ask (were is my breaking point, hell do I even have one!). The ending will surprise, shock, and have you going back and rereading sections of the book.
We would love to read a part-two, to this story 'Payback'. The club gives four stars! The story did flow well, each character was developed (some to much).
Please note: that SBWC, reads and supports all authors! We do not bash a good story because of errors. The lack of a comma, misspelled words, or any other errors, do/did not take away from this good read.
I enjoyed reading work from this author as well as Youtube videos. This book reminded me of a similar Set It Off movie with the ending. The book gives you the message of how you can be in the wrong place at wrong time and to watch who is in your circle. It was amazing to see the ending be better than I expected. A family reunion gone wrong makes you reflect on what is truly in you, motives of everyone and what happens when you risk it all to be left in the end alone with nothing to show for your sacrifice. I was at first unsure with it being urban and wondering if it would flow or be more street. I enjoyed it but the ending made me mad about the hand the dad was dealt for his sacrifice. It was a good read and I look forward to reading more from author
This was a great story to read. I didn't expect it to be so good. It was fast paced from beginning to end. You were able to follow the characters, understand them and the situation. The ending will have you staring at the page wondering if you read it correctly. There were no grammatical errors and it was typeset for the kindle. I can always count on Silk White to get me out of a reading slump and provide pure entertainment.
In this book a family of three is kidnapped and the father is forced to help his abductors commit crimes for the money. I found a lot in this book that was very unrealistic. When someone is kidnapped they don't usually become friendly with the kidnappers or have heart to heart talks with them. Although I was engaged in this book and found it quite entertaining I would have opted for a different ending.
This book was serious. I can believe Sabrina crossed her husband like that and then pretend as if what he did for his family didn't bother her in the least. On top of all that she acts as if her own child is of any importance. I wish there was a book 2 showing how Keyon was able to prove that he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and put into a situation where he didn't have a choice to do what he did, but everybody is dead now.
The ending made no sense because if Jesus had done what Omar demanded, Sabrina would have been dead. The book was lightly suspenseful; I kept waiting for some big heroic effort on Keyon or his family's part. This is my first read by this author and I will definitely check out some of his other works.
This book had so many grammar errors it was hard to read. There was multiple times throughout the book I thought, "Why am I even reading this? Well it's short it won't waste much time maybe it'll get better. Not." They talk like thugs the entire story. And it was so unrealistic! First I've ever read from this author but definitely not what I'm into!
Never would have expected that ending, wow. This was a good read, kept me not wanting to put it down. The things Keyon did for his family in the name of love to end up the way he did was so hurtful. I'm still saying WOW!!
I highly recommend this book, suspense, love for family, loyalty & betrayal.
This was a decent read, though I guess it never quite panned out the way I expected. I didn't particularly like any of the main characters or feel connected to them and Keyon was not that relatable in my opinion. The ending was also a little muggy for me
I hope part 2 is in the works, because the ending was a shocker and a shame. I'm wondering if they really set him up or was he at the wrong place and the wrong time. What about Melissa?, I thought she was a part of the plot but I was wrong. Maybe she will be in part 2.
I been by passing the book for a while. So, now, I finally read it and it was good. I didn't like the way it ended but it's crazy how things worked out. Looks looks like Omar wasn't the only snake. Sabrina really fooled me.
This was a step up from the Teflon Queen. Both great stories, but this one was written much better. I enjoyed the characters and the plot. I’ll definitely be reading more of Silk White’s work.
Being at the wrong place at the wrong time can lead to unimaginable scenarios. If you don't believe me, just ask Keyon. He did things he never thought he would do before all for the sake of his family. Too bad Sabrina didn't do the same. That twist at the end was shocking to say the least.
This author's PEN game he never fails me... This STORYLINE IS BANANAS.... Excitement the thrill of the chase ... The action know what the drama was on 1000 I couldn't get enough I just got to tell you I'm sorry for my boy Keyon was real now the whole time I'm thinking oh my God no Sabrina didn't Jake was a snake will all be big I into through I guess Omar was the master of deceit I feel sorry for Monica but they got what they deserve every last one of them I just can't seem keyon like that.... Wow there was some deceit dysfunction and downright entertainment I loved it wow I don't know but I think they might be some payback in the future but I will check out the movie out freaking standing Silk white does it again
This book was crazy from beginning to end! He did what he had to do for his family and was getting played from the get go. This was a very shady ending!!!
