A perfect ending to a great K-9 suspense series! I've so enjoyed reading each book by different authors, and while they use their own unique authors voice, they stay true to the storyline & plot. I also loved getting to know each agent, their K-9 partner and their love matches. Some truly talented writers collaborated to bring an intense series you don't want to miss!
This book is a quick-paced, two novella length stories by Lenora Worth & Terri Reed. I'm going to include both in my review.
A Killer Christmas by Lenora Worth On a routine jog one night with her K-9 partner Sam, Nina Atkins stumbles upon an attempted murder of a young woman. Thwarting the killers plan, she & the victim now have targets on their backs. What possible sinister plot could he have for wanting them dead? When US Marshal Thomas Grant happens to be tracking down the same killer, they collaborate to solve the mystery!
This one was a fast-paced thrill ride from the start! There's lots of twists in this one and just when I thought I knew the answer, it becomes much more sinister than I imagined. I was left on the edge of my seat as I observed Grant and Nina following the leads that take them along a twisted road of deception, intrigue and cover-ups! Even though this is only about 100 pages long, there's no feeling of a lack of depth to either the plot or the characters. The romance quickly flamed between these two the more they worked together. A great suspense story filled with threads of faith, some seriously heart-pounding scenes, the sweet promise of love, and a Christmas full of hot chocolate and family fun!
Yuletide Stalking by Terri Reed Working to find a serial arsonist, FBI agent Tim Ramsey and K-9 partner Frodo met Vickie Petrov after the shelter she volunteers at catches fire. Having been attacked just before it started, she's visibly shaken up, which in turn brings up past memories she'd rather have buried. Distrustful of both officers of the law & men in general, she has distanced herself from affairs of the heart. But as she works with Tim to bring the arsonist to justice, his gentle manner begins to crumble the walls she put up. As the danger escalates, can she trust Tim protect her and her family all while protecting her heart?
Another fast-paced suspense to keep me on my toes! As each suspicious fire starts, the danger escalates and the clues start adding up. But can Tim and his team put the pieces together in time to save Vicky and her family from getting hurt? I also enjoyed seeing Tim scale the walls of her heart with his gentle, dependable ways and his protective spirit. Sparks, like the accelerant on a fire, flamed the more these two were around each other. This one had a few twists that I didn't see coming and ended in my heart pounding so fast I could hardly breath! Past meets present with this race between good and evil and seeing justice served!
*I received a complimentary copy of this from the author and was under no obligation to write a favorable review. *
My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Classified K-9 Christmas. This is another two stories from the series Classified K-9 Unit. I really enjoyed the continuity series and was glad to read more about the team and the new members. I know you are going to really enjoy this book. Normally I would review each story alone but I am so far behind I must do it together. Both these stories are well written and full of suspense.
A Killer Christmas by Lenora Worth
FBI K-9 Agent Nina Atkins and her partner Sam stops a murder and becomes the target of the killer herself. She soon meets a US Marshal who is searching for the same killer but Nina didn't want to work with this man. She can handle this herself, how can she trust a stranger.
US Marshal Thomas Grant is tracking a serial killer. He runs into Nina and her partner Sam. He is drawn to the beautiful FBI agent. He is determined to protect her and find the killer. Can he do his job without losing his heart?
Yuletide Stalking by Terri Reed
FBI K-9 Agent Tim Ramsey and his partner Frodo work on arson cases. Frodo is an accelerant-detecting agent and they are on the mission to stop an arsonist. He finds one witness and is determined to protect her and find his man. Can he keep her safe when she refuses to trust him? Who hurt this woman so badly?
Vickie Petrov worked in her parents bakery. She takes out two bags of trash at the Billings Homeless Shelter where she is preparing food for the Christmas Eve meal. She smells burning cigarette smoke close by. Vickie once abused while in college is filled with fear. Before she could get back into the kitchen a man grabs her. She uses the self defense moves she was taught and escapes but when the mission is set on fire a few minutes later she realizes she witnessed the man who set the fire. Could she trust the FBI Agent?
Both of these stories will touch your heart. God had a plan for these two couples and He has a plan for you. Give Him your heart, put Him in control of your life and watch Him turn your life around.
Loved both of these stories! This book takes over where the series - Classified K-9 Unit - left off but it doesn't have anything to do with that story line, just has some of those characters so it's easy to pick up this book and read it, even if you didn't read that series. It's a great holiday suspense book too so I definitely recommend it! A KILLER CHRISTMAS by Lenora Worth This story starts out with an attempted murder and goes on from there! I so enjoy reading about the FBI K-9 agents and their handlers! In this story we get to know Nina Atkins. She meets US Marshal Thomas Grant right after the attempted murder that she witnessed and they have to work together to solve it because the suspect is someone Thomas has been following! The case takes different turns that I didn't suspect! I had a hard time putting the book down because it was so interesting and I HAD to see how it ended! YULETIDE STALKING by Terri Reed This story is about an arsonist. The K-9 is a dog who is an expert in detecting accelerant and belongs to FBI agent Tim Ramsey. The arsonist begins stalking Vickie Petrov, who can possibly identify the arsonist so Tim and his K-9 stick close to her. Vickie and her parents own the bakery in town and everywhere they turn, the arsonist seems to find them, especially Vickie. What is going on? Tim is determined to find the truth! Another story that kept me turning the pages!!!!
Two great stories of love, brave men and women along with their canine partners work together to safe those in need of protection.
FBI agent Nina Atkins along with her K-9 partner Sam witness an attempted murder of a young lady and have now become the killers new focus. US Marshal Thomas Grant has been on the hunt for a hired killer when he happens upon a scene that has him stopping to check things out to see if his guy is the reason for the crime scene. Nina and Thomas are forced to work together and maybe survive to have love for Christmas.
FBI Agent Tim Ramsey is investigating a series of fires believed to be suspicious along with his K-9 partner Frodo. When Vickie Petrov and her family are helping at a homeless shelter and she’s attacked while taking out the trash shortly before a fire destroys the shelter . Agent Ramsey is called to check out the fire and witnesses several attacks on Ms Petrov. He makes it his mission to solve who the arsonist is and protect Vickie at the same time. Will they survive long enough to have a chance at their growing love for each other?
This final installment of the Classified K-9 Unit series was for the two rookies on the Tactical K-9 Unit. The first short story, A Killer Christmas by Lenora Worth, is Nina Atkins story. She was the first on the scene of an attempted murder. She is being stalked by the murderer. Her self-proclaimed bodyguard is U. S. Deputy Marshal Thomas Grant who is hunting a serial killer who just happens to be Nina’s suspect-stalker. The second story, Yuletide Stalking by Terri Reed, is Tim Ramsey’s story. Tim and his K-9 partner, Frodo, are in search of an arsonist. He is called to the homeless shelter to investigate a fire where he finally meets Vicki Petrov. He has been wanting to meet her but she always shies away from personal contact. She is now a witness who is being stalked by the arsonist. Tim feels it’s his duty to protect the baker from harm.
Nina and her K- 9 officer Sam are jogging and come across a man trying to shoot a young girl. She is able to save the girl but the girl still gets shot. Sam uncovers two more bodies or young women in shallow graves.
As the crime scene is taking place a US Marshall named Thomas Grant shows up. He is tracking a killer who has been spotted in Montana. He thinks by the crime scene that he is looking for the same man that has committed these murders. So he partners up with Nina and Sam and help them in the investigation.
It is another really good book in the series and I think you will enjoy it.
Two stories of the Classified K-9 Unit. A Killer Christmas by Lenora Worth and Yuletide Stalking by Terri Reed. The continuity of the stories in this series is amazing considering they are written by different authors. One with the Marshall helping a FBI K-9 agent when a killer is after her. The other with a civilian caught in the sites of an arsonist and a FBI K-9 agent. Both will hold you attention and keep you guessing.
I absolutely adored this series. It had intrigue, mystery, suspense. Bad things happened to good people. Some called on God, some questioned, and I related to it all. I like a book that will provide mystery and suspense, and then to meet the characters in this series, to feel like they are real, down to earth, they could be a neighbor, a friend. I loved every book in this series, I loved watching a relationship develop, the questions and self doubt. Seeing God spoken about, faith spoken about like a friend sharing their thoughts and opinions, and then have fur babies???? WIN
Two sweet and action packed novellas that each follow an FBI K9 agent through a mission leading to danger, mystery and romance. The wonderful K9 partners add depth to the stories. The romantic interests are well matched and realistic. Wonderful reading for this holiday season, or any time.
Romance, danger, mystery and love all wrapped up in a believable read Characters human and dog were used to inform, entertain and yearn for more. Took me less than a week to read all ( Prequel, 6 novels and 2 Christmas novelettes). Great way to spend your time!
loved the book. i have read the series and loved it. if you like suspense and romance you have to read the series. both stories and great. looking forward to more of the books. read it in 2 days, one for each story.
Lenora Worth knows her subject, and I am so glad to have had the pleasure of learning more about my favorite subjects...K-9 officers. Thank you for all you do!
I enjoyed both stories Couldn't wait to read this book so as soon as it arrived and I finished the book I was reading I started it. Great finish to the K-9 series.
The two short stories in this book tell the stories of FBI K-9 agents--Nina Atkins and Tim Ramsey. The additional stories of this series retained the suspense shown throughout the series.
Due ottimi racconti natalizi che concludono degnamente una bella serie. E per una volta non mi lamento per la scarsa lunghezza di un racconto! Le due storie sono sviluppate nella giusta misura.
This two in one Harlequin Love Inspired Suspense by Lenora Worth and Terri Reed was an enjoyable and fast read.
A KILLER CHRISTMAS by Lenora WorthRating = 5/5
This book features a murder investigation. FBI K-9 agent Nina Atkins has a slight chip on her shoulder where she wants to prove her worth to her colleagues and her family. On a night time run with her Rottweiler Sam, who is an expert cadaver dog, Nina stumbles upon a crime that starts out this intriguing story.
US Marshal Thomas Grant has arrived all the way from Texas to Montana in pursuit of a hitman. As the crime scene is secured and being investigated, Thomas has a sixth sense and meets Nina! Once their lives are put in danger together, Nina and Thomas realize that in order to solve the crime they have to team up and that takes the reader on an amazing ride.
In this story, Thomas is adorable, sweet, protective, funny and upstanding. Nina is brilliant and courageous. However, sometimes her constant chattering and questions were rather annoying. I was not a big fan of the female protagonist but her bravery made her likeable.
With all these types of books, I am usually able to to figure out the culprit. And this tale was no different. However, the back story was very detailed and suspenseful. I have always enjoyed Lenora's writing style, and this book was great! Don't expect too much Christmas though.
If you want a quick suspenseful read with clean romance, you might just enjoy this.

YULETIDE STALKING by Terri ReedRating = 5/5
The second story was beautiful. I wasn't looking forward to this story as much. However, this story was surprising and heartfelt.
FBI Agent Tim Ramsey along with his German Shepard partner, Frodo are fire investigators. Tim is on an important assignment where there are numerous arsons occurring around Billings, Montana. Tim has figured out the start of the fires but the criminal keeps escaping until Vickie Petrov.
Bakery store co-owner Vickie Petrov has changed herself due to a horrible event in her college life. She has become quite subdued and socially avoids everyone. The night that she is helping out at the shelter, she is accosted but bravely fights back to save herself. She is the one witness that can maybe help Tim figure out who the arsonist is and save the business owners in Billings from damaging fires.
And that starts the story of Tim and Vickie that is sweet and slow building but quite romantic. There is a Christmas feel throughout the story. I was able to figure out the mystery but it was still great to read and intricately woven. The action scenes and all the supporting character truly added to the story. Also, the Christian faith aspect was nicely depicted.
In both books the characters of each story make a brief appearance to show continuity, but Terri Reed was really able to weave the characters in better. This story was a delight and the Frodo is adorable. The action scenes is Lenora's book are well written.
Overall, if you are looking for some mystery and a sweet romance, you will like this two-in-one anthology!
I always love reading the Christmas K-9 books at the end of a K-9 series. Even though everything about the Classified K-9 Unit was wrapped up in Tracker, you got to go back a little and revisit the characters cause they were all there. There were two books in one: A Killer Christmas by Lenora Worth and Yuletide Stalking by Terri Reed. The FBI K-9 officers had been previously introduced as had their love interest throughout the series.
