The cover! 'Swoon!' Oh my gosh, the cover alone is beautiful, oh...and did I mention drool-worthy? There was no way I could pass this up. It was an enjoyable read with a great HEA.

Hunter is basically a single dad with full custody. The ex-girlfriend is an alcoholic and maybe a druggy...a little unclear on the latter. She has never had custody of their six-year-old daughter but now she wants payback so she goes after custody of the little girl. She snowed the attorney and the judge to believe she is now living clean and sober but she isn't.

The judge told Hunter that if he found a nice girl to marry and get settled down he could probably get custody back. That is where Sarah comes in. She just opened a Bakery next to his motorcycle repair shop. She is a beautiful, strong young woman but after having here heart broken she had a new rule: No Badboys!

So why only three stars you may ask. I have a couple of triggers. One is I have a real problem with any book that has the H/h having sex with someone else. This was immediately before he meets Sarah. And it wasn't just the sex, it was what they were doing. The gal, Heather, walks into his office and tells him he has the tool to fix what ails her. She tips her back end up to him and he quickly divests her pants. Seems she likes it from the rear while being choked to bring on the instant big O. I thought that was completely unnecessary and it really gave me a bad impression of Hunter that never went away. Especially since he reminded her she was never to come back to his place of business yet he goes right ahead and gives it to her again after telling her no a couple times. I lost respect for him right there in the beginning which also brought up doubts if he was a man of his word. Just troubling for me. I'm sorry I couldn't rate if any higher. I would have if not for the trigger I explained.

Everyone was pretty simple, straightforward, and a bit emotional. There were a lot of descriptions that were cheesy, a bit cringeworthy, and not all that sexy. The opening scene with Heather was a little shocking, but only because I wasn't expecting it, but it laid a pretty good foundation for personalities, accusations, and situations later in the book. The steam level was super high and there were more moments of tenderness than I expected, which was a nice surprise. There was heart, but since this was such a short book, there wasn't time to build a solid foundation for all the relationships. Pasts weren't really dealt with or discussed, which was fine, but it made the story feel a bit incomplete. Overall, it was an entertaining hour or so. I read and willingly reviewed this as an ARC received from the author.

**I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book** This book was hot! Hunter is a single dad who owns a bike shop and is fighting his ex to keep custody of his daughter Tani. The judge feels he would show a more stable home if there was a wife or girlfriend in his life. That is where Sarah, the bakery shop owner next door comes in. Sarah has finally opened her bakery and is determined to do it on her own but with a dwindling bank account, she is afraid that she won't be able to keep the store open. When Hunter suggests she marry him, Sarah is reluctant but the thought of having the money needed to keep her bakery open and the very hot sex with Hunter, she gives in. Will they make a real relationship out of this marriage of convenience? Rye keeps you guessing.

"Rock Hard Fake Groom" was a cute short novella. Hunter and Sarah were a quick match due to Hunter trying to keep his daughter from his unfit ex. Hunter made a deal with Sarah to help in keeping his daughter, but got more than he bargained for when they fell in love. The story was fast paced and could have been so much more as a full book had the it been fleshed out. So many details were missing with the pace of the book, but overall it is a hot sexy read. I felt it was more of a YA read. I would like to thank the author for gifting me "Rock Hard Fake Groom". My opinion is my own. This is mine 3 Stars!

I love Rye Hart's books. They are always extremely well written and have outstanding storylines. This one is no exception and is so worth reading. I loved Hunter's character because he is extremely hardworking single dad who loves spending time with his daughter. Sarah is sweet and kind just trying to get back on her feet. Together they have strong chemistry and you can feel it as you read the story. The story flows beautifully and is well developed. No, it isn't extremely long but it is such a fabulous story and it is long enough that you are not left hanging. This is most definitely worth reading. I am in love! Hunter is the man! How can a woman not love him :)

This book from Rye Hart has it all. Sexy man, hot neighbor, smiles, grins, sadness, surprise - and a lot more.
You get caught by the story and just have to read it all at ones.
The timeline is a bit fast but the reason why is in the story.

The characters are so well described and realistic that it makes you feel with them. Their chemistry feels real.
The story is an everyday story and Rye Hart has made it fun, sweet, sexy and of course with HEA!

Fake Groom.

I actually really liked this story but it lost major points with me because 1. The grammar and spelling errors were terrible. Plus a lot of details were off. And 2. The very first chapter we read from Hunters pov is him having unprotected sex with another chick. I hate nothing more then to read about the man with another females. Specially detailed and deceptive. Then later he stated it had "been awhile". Um what like 4 days buddy? He however was not a bad guy. I did like his and Sarah's character. And even his daughter was super cute and lightened things up. Happy ending.

A good quickie

I loved the premise of this one. A single dad needs a wife to regain custody of his little six year old daughter. So he sees his gorgeous new neighbor and decides to make a hot proposition. She needs some major repairs done at her new bakery and he needs a wife to make him look respectable in front of the judge. Hell, I would have have married him too. He was handy around the house, great with kids, knew his way around the kitchen, and the bedroom too. What female would reject a man with those qualities?

Hunter and Sarah's relationship didn't start out like normal but love can hit you when you least expect it. The chemistry between these two was undeniable. The scenes between these two were sexy as sin. Tani was a sweetheart and I fell in love with her instantly. The ending had me crying like a baby.

Bringing Nancy into the story to get custody of Tani, was unnecessary it didn't really bring a lot of drama b/c there was never real detail or backstory to why she wanted custody when she was never in Tani life after she was born it didn't add up. There was no blackmail or Nancy trying to get money out of Hunter or even a mention of just wanting Hunter back it was just random.

Rock Hard Fake Groom is a quick, steamy read fro Rye Hart. I love guys who appear to be bad boys but really have a heart of gold and that is totally Hunter. They story was fast paced but well developed. I really enjoyed watching Sarah and Hunter meet, marry, and fall in love!!

Loved this story. Sarah opens a bakery next door to a bike shop and sparks fly when she meets the owner, Hunter. They are both going through some things when Hunter thinks he has a solution for both of them. She marries him so he can keep his daughter and she gets the money she needs to keep her bakery afloat. What they don't realize is how hard they will fall for each other.

Baking Machine

Interesting story. Hunter needs a wife to keep his daughter and the new baker next door fits the bill nicely. Sarah is just trying to make her bakery work, but is drawn to Hunter and can't say no. Will it work out? Or will this fake wife stay fake? This is a short story, a quick read that has some grammatical and editing errors, but is a nice, fun read.

This is a toss up with Rock Hard Daddy for my favorite by this author. I started it and did not move until I finished it, I just couldn't put it down!! I only wish that their story could've gone on and on and on ;) Great read with awesome characters!This one definitely deserves more than just 5 stars!! A MUST READ!!!
