I'm an Enforcer, It's what I do.

I was brought to the Boneyard Brotherhood to do one thing, keep everyone in line. Break our code, run afoul of our laws? It's my boot that will be bringing you back in check. If there was a problem, I'm the one who took care of it; by whatever means necessary. My own safety was never a concern. I enjoyed the thrill, the Adrenalin and the rush that I had lost since leaving the Marines. But, all of that changed when I met her.

Dylan, the nurse who patched me up after a mission went a bit afoul, she managed to setup shop in my head. It was something no other woman had done before; make me care about not only her but myself. Suddenly, I minded if I was going to be in danger, shot at or stabbed. I had to change, for her. But, would the Brotherhood let me?

This is a HOT HOT HOT stand alone MC Romance Novel.

After Jeremiah Cole leaves the Marines, he's left adrift with nowhere to channel his energy. That all changes when he's recruited by The Boneyard Brotherhood, a biker gang made up of veterans from all branches of the military. Cole becomes their Enforcer, the member who enforces the rules by any means necessary. When one of his missions goes sideways, he ends up in the ER where he meets Dylan. Cole wants her, but can he keep her after she finds out what he is?

I read Overhaul and loved it and Enforcer was another great read. Cole's a complicated man, one who doesn't care about his life until he finds something worth living for. He needs a woman as strong as he is, and he's met his match with Dylan. Their relationship is fairly low angst, and this book is more about Cole's personal struggle and growth than the development of their relationship. The plot kept me hooked. I was surprised at the ending, and can't wait for the next one!

Gideon Welles is a great choice to narrate this one, his gravelly growl of a voice fits Cole perfectly. His female voices were light and consistent. I requested a copy of the audiobook, and I'm voluntarily leaving a review.

This is a Oh my god great book! It follow's Adrenalin an ex military, ex con who is now in a biker gang and is now an Enforcer for the gang. Adrenalin is a tough hot guy who does what is needed for the gang with no regard to himself. Than he finally meets Dylan and his entire world changes. He finally finds a someone to care for, something to live for. It is so cute that he is the one who goes after her and not the other way around.

I really like this biker gang too. The guys are ex military guys who are not really back into our normal society. So they have grouped up together. They have their own code and it's partly to keep the really bad gang's out of their area the gang has claimed. It really is in part the best part of the story line. I liked that Adrenalin story was not just about being saved by Dylan's love but he maintains a real life for his character.

The author makes Adrenalin's character believable and real for the listener. I think all of us women want to find a hot guy we can save like him.

I recommend listening to this book. I will by listening to it again!

The narrator: Gideon Welles has this sexy voice that I could listen to all day again and again. I hope to find more of his audio books!

I received this book free in exchange for a honest review.

First person from his perspective. It's mostly about the club, a group of all ex-military. He meets the h, a nurse, after being stabbed. Most of their scenes together are them having sex, it's hot and he likes her and decides he can't get her out of his head.

She's nice enough but there is zero background on either of them (family, past relationships, etc...) she seems to like him to and there isn't really any back and forth. There's just no time in the story devoted to their relationship growing and as a result the romance is lacking. I have no idea how she feels about him. There are no "I love you's" either.

Ends totally abruptly 1/2 way through. Another story is included but I didn't read it.

4 ACTION-PACKED STARS!

I thoroughly enjoyed ENFORCER, Amber Burns' second installment of Boneyard Brotherhood MC, narrated to SHEER PERFECTION by Gideon Welles!

After leaving the military ex-Marine Jeremiah Cole was adrift, trying to acclimate to civilian life. But he found new purpose when he was recruited to the Boneyard Brotherhood, a biker club comprised of war veterans. Now, as the resident enforcer he maintains order within the club, often with his fists!

When one of his runs goes awry and he winds up in the ER with a stab wounds—an on the job work hazard—sparks fly between him and pretty nurse Dylan Yates. After she stitches him up, she goes above and beyond and pays him a house call to check up on her ornery patient. Although at first he is a bit on the cranky side by her fussing, deep down her tender ministrations makes his heart beat faster and he ends up thanking her with a steamy liplock!!

The next thing they know, they are burning up the sheets but rather than satiating their desire it leaves them both aching for more! Cole is not looking for commitment but for some reason he can’t get enough of this kind, compassionate, sexy woman and finds himself pursuing her relentlessly! Although Dylan is equally enamored with the roughhewn war veteran, at first she tries to rebuff his advances--getting involved with a MC man who is looking for a strings-free attachment is not exactly without emotional and physical peril-- but his gruff, infectious charm and smoldering masculinity prove irresistible. Before long their romance, which started off purely physical, evolves to a full blown love affair. But when unforeseen drama unfolds can these two make it for the long haul?

Once again Gideon Welles OWNED MY HEART with his latest narration! His gruff, growly baritone was beautiful suited for the role of badass ex-marine Jeremiah Cole. He breathed flesh and blood life into this macho Alpha biker and did a nice job transitioning between characters and using the appropriate inflections to give each character a unique and distinct personality. He has become one of my TOP FAVE male narrators. In addition to his raspy, masculine voice and lazy drawl, which always induces shivers, he emotes fabulously, bringing out the subtle nuances in his characters. Bottom line? Mr. Welles ALWAYS DELIVERS ON THE SWOON and I could do literally listen to him narrate all day!

As for the story itself, although it's part of series, ENFORCER can certainly be read/listened to as a standalone. This incarnation is very much an insta-lust tale and I was beguiled by the red-hot chemistry and delightful push pull between Cole and Dylan. I rooted for this couple from the onset and loved Dylan's sweet caring nature and how she kept our taciturn ex-soldier on his toes! From start to finish this hot, sexy, tender hearted romance set my heart aflutter!!

Their story was intertwined well with the action-packed mc drama though I did feel that the Romance took a backseat to the club business and would have liked a stronger focus on the emotional development of the relationship between Cole and Dylan. That said, I enjoyed the entertaining interaction between Cole and the Boneyard Brotherhood, and thought the author delved nicely into Cole’s emotional tug of war between his loyalty to the MC club and his newfound feelings for Dylan.

Final Thoughts: ENFORCER was an enjoyable listen. The plot was filled with passion, heart-tugging emotion, edge of your seat excitement and danger, and the romance ends on a high note! Gideon Welles continues to WOW, and I highly recommend this audio for listeners who enjoy this genre and are looking for the perfect escape!

If you're after a hero with a gravelly voice, then narrator Gideon Welles is your man! Gideon is great as Jeremiah Cole. His deep voice carries across a spectrum of feelings from caring to scary. You would think that such a deep voice would come with a female sounding quite 'manly' but the voice of Dylan is also well done. I would definitely listen to other books read by Gideon.

This is my first Amber Burns book (audio or print) so I had no set expectations at the start. Overall, I enjoyed the story and did not feel I was missing anything by not having read the first book in the Boneyard Brothers series.

Even as a member of an MC that espouses brotherhood, Cole is very much a loner. It's not until he meets Dylan and recognises her importance to him personally, that he begins to open himself up to his other MC brothers. For me, this story is more about Cole's journey as person and his role within the club than it is about his relationship with Dylan. He's a club enforcer and the book does not shy away from the detail. It's not as gory as say, Susan Fanetti's Signal Bend series, but we do get to read about the messy bits.

Dylan and Cole are hot together and the sexy times are well written. It is a case of instant attraction and while I do believe they are suited as a couple, I wish the story was longer so we could spend more time with them.

The litmus test is whether I enjoyed this book enough to want to read more by this author, and the answer is yes.

** audio book review **
Holy MC bad boy! Get ready to meet Cole. Book one of this series showed the good side of the MC. This book shows the muscle of the Boneyard Brotherhood MC and it's smoking hot. Cole is a veteran and didn't really have a purpose until he was recruited while a bouncer at a strip club by the MC and he becomes their enforcer. He is the guy that you don't want paying you a visit. I love that this story picked up where book one left off and handled a problem that I wanted to see dealt with. Even though Cole is in the Brotherhood he still keeps his distance. He doesn't let anyone too near him or his heart. That is until he finds himself in the ER and a beautiful nurse takes his breath away and slowly his heart. Dylan is the perfect woman for him. She doesn't push love and she can handle his lifestyle. As she starts to steal his heart or him steal hers, Cole looks at his life and realizes that he is pushing away the group of men who have had his back. He isn't just in the MC to do a job. Then stuff gets real and all that Cole now cares for is in jeopardy. This was such a great MC ride. It has everything MC fans love: bikers, action, steamy romance, drama, edge of your seat moments and so much more. Highly recommend this series and this book. It can be read as a standalone but much better after book one.

So, once again I can not claim this to be an MC series. I can honestly say it’s more like veterans who are not acclimating well to being home and have grouped together with motorcycles, doing some things that are not so legal (which not all of them are clearly stated) and acting as an MC. There is not brotherhood or camaraderie, despite the club name. It’s even stated that they are now free from the military and are getting “shot and stabbed more” than when they were on tour. They don’t go on rides together for bonding and don’t have parties. However, there is a situation that does seem MC like where it calls for some of them to ride out. Using a few of the MC verbiage does not make an MC. I can say that I did like the heroine a little bit better in this book however we know NOTHING about her or her backstory. She’s just kind of there. There’s not character buildup in this series as far as the women go. The author has made the women very quiet, skittish and at times a little prudish and I hate that. And once again… the narrator. I can’t. There was a part where the heroine asks the hero to say something in a sexy way and all he did was deepen his monotone voice but it sounded more like he had phlegm caught in his throat…in no way was that sexy.

I read/listened to this story immediately after finishing Overhaul. I felt that this story was a nice continuation, but it didn't necessarily require that I read Overhaul to really understand this one. I was grateful for that even though I had already read/listened to it first. I found that I really liked Cole. Maybe even a bit more than Syd. They were both really interesting characters though and I liked getting to listen to their life in the brotherhood as well as experiencing them falling in love through Amber Burns' words. It really worked as a male only POV story. This was a good MC book. I loved the club house, the camaraderie between the members, the love of their bikes, and just the overall story-line.

I still didn't necessarily love this narrator for this story. But I will admit that after speeding up the audio a bit, it was more enjoyable then the first book I listened to with him. I don't think he's a bad narrator, he just seems a bit older sounding then these characters are supposed to be. It won't stop me from checking out the next book though as I want to hear what happens next with the Boneyard Brotherhood MC.

I love veteran stories, and Amber Burns continues her Boneyard Brotherhood series with the next war hero, Jeremiah Cole. Cole is brought into the Club as the Enforcer, making sure all of the members abide by the rules of the club. One night he is injured, landing him in the ER, where he meets Dylan Yates, his nurse. There is instant chemistry, and she later checks in on him at his home. These two have some real fire between them, and their scenes are hot. I do wish they had gotten to know each other a little more, I think their story would be more enticing. With that being said, the story continues and their love grows. Burns also has a really good balance in the story with the business of the club, where we get to see Cole(as well as Dylan) in action. She does leave us with a slight cliffhanger, and it makes you just want book 3 to see where things are going to go next.

Gideon Welles is perfect for this alpha male type of book. His gravelly voice gives the perfect masculine, edgy sound while he seamlessly switches to the female voices. He makes listening easy.

Absolutely Loved this Book
I was pulled into this book right from the beginning, staying there until I had read every single word that was written. I even had my mini movie playing along in my head.
Twists, turns and surprises await you within the pages of this story, some of the surprises are large, while others aren't. Some you may see coming where as others you won't. Some may pull on your heart strings and others may hit you square in the face, regardless of how the surprises are found, each and every single one of them holds equal importance. None of them will disappoint you.
The emotions that the characters go through in the story can be felt. I actually went through the emotions along with the characters. I did find that a time or two I really wanted to smack a couple of the characters, but they redeemed themselves in the end.
This is the first book of Amber Burns I have read, I highly recommend both amber burns as a author and this book. So worth reading and I don't think you will regret it.
This book is also available on audible and it is fantastic.

I had trouble deciding how many stars to give this. I really liked the story and characters. But I hate that it just ended. There wasn’t really an ending. I wanted to know more about the couple and how they talked things out as far as feelings. I’m hoping the ending is setting up for the next book. The plans that the gang were making. Mainly about Miller. I see his book is next I think. Yay! Some reviewers were saying this isn’t how a gang would act. But I liked the gang. They seemed to be on the good side. This is how all the cops I know that ride motorcycles are, not that they are in a gang but I’m sure it would be about keeping people safe. I also listened to the audiobook. If you like those, you will love this narrator! Gideon Welles. He has the most amazing deep voice. It sounds dangerous and magical at the same time. I could listen to him read nursery rhymes.

AUDIOBOOK edition

I picked the story because of Gideon Welles. I really enjoyed listening to his other stories and this one is no different. His voice is perfect for Cole, gravelly with a sexy dangerous feel to it and he does quite well with women's voices too. 5 stars

A chance meeting between Cole and Dylan, the hot chemistry between them turns into love. Their story is short but has some very hot scenes, add suspense and danger to the mix makes an entertaining story. Cole is lovable even if he is gruff at times and Dylan is the woman that can tame the lonely beast and give him a new purpose. The ending is surprising and it hints at HEA which is good in my book. 4 stars
Will have to check the other stories in the series.

Cole is a member of Boneyard Brotherhood MC, which is a group of ex-military bikers. Cole is the Enforcer for the BBMC and meets Dylan at the ER after being injured on a 'run'. The pair have a connection and after her shift ends, Dylan stops by to 'check in' on Cole. A relationship quickly ensues. There is some MC drama and Cole tries to convince Dylan that he's not so bad and even goes as far as to tell his MC that he will quit. The ending was a bit abrupt so hoping that the story will pick up in the next book.

Overall this was an enjoyable listen. Jeremiah and Dylan had scorching chemistry, even though she initially tried to resist him. No MC romance would be complete without the element of danger and suspense and Enforcer delivered on that front. The story was well written and the ending managed to surprise me a bit. Gideon Welles gave a great performance and I just love his deep, sexy voice. Yum! Enforcer was a terrific listening experience and I would recommend it.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This review is my honest opinion.

Enforcer (Boneyard Brotherhood MC #2) was a good read by Amber Burns. Jeremiah Cole left the Marines and hasn't been able to get the same adrenaline rush since. He was brought to the Boneyard Brotherhood to be the enforcer and keep everyone in line. Everything that he loved about being the enforcer, changed when he met Dylan. She was the nurse who patched him up after a mission went wrong. He suddenly cared about what happened to him and it was all because of Dylan. I really enjoyed reading Cole's story and can't wait to read more by the author.

This book was harder hitting that the first book but tells a different survivors story and how he copes with his story. The characters were more dynamic and harder hitting but you see how different stories and histories can effect their lives. This storyline is far more involved with the MC than the last book, more of what you expect but not over done, that it takes away from the main storyline. It does seem to set up for the next book though.

This story moves a bit quicker than what I’m used to, but not too fast. I loved getting into Coles mind and hearing how he thinks. Typical guy... falling without even knowing. Lucky for us he figures it out quick enough. The ending is great, but leaves you wanting more. I can’t wait to dive into the next book.

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. It took a while for me to finish this book because it had trouble keeping my attention. Once I finally got into it, I found that I enjoyed it. The bad guy was actually a good guy. The narrator did a great job with both the male and female characters. He brought the characters to life. Didn't love it but it was entertaining.

Not sure what to point out first...

Too much talk about “the club”. Bor-ing! Not enough interaction between the love interests. I mean, is this a MC “romance” or a Sons of Anarchy novella? I enjoyed the tv series but expect much more in my reads. I need to be entertained and invested. Sadly, neither of those were available with this book.

3.5 stars

I enjoyed the story of Cole and Dylan. We really didn't meet the main characters in book one "Overhaul", however we got the meet and invite between Wilson and Cole in the prologue.
The reason for the lower star score is the numerous grammar errors. Spelling wasn't really a problem, however words were flipped or left out a lot.

Likable but short story with cliffhanger

I like the story but it was short and it left you hanging. Again I gave 3 stars because of editing. The writer has potential but needs a good editor.

Just ok for me

This book just alright. At times I was a little bored. Nobody would listen to anybody at times in the club. It's like no one knew what they were doing. More of a wanna be club.

The only reason I gave this 4 star instead of 5 was because of the way it ended. The entire book was smooth and then bam it's over, done, and no epilogue. Hopefully book 3 gives more info into the lives of Cole and Sid.

Cole the grump

Cole is the enforcer and a major grump. He gets sent on a job and it doesn't end well. A trip to the ER and chatting up a hot nurse things for him take a change. He realises that he is a loner and a grump and Dylan makes him question his self

Interesting read!

I liked this book, it was interesting from the start. Two engaging characters, depth, progression, and likability. It was the beginning of meeting the rest of MC. There is two characters I am not quite sure about though.

The Enforcer and the Nurse

He wasn’t expecting her when he arrived in the ER, but now he wasn’t letting her go. She knew he was trouble and she was still willing to take the leap. Definitely recommend this book and series.

Great story, I love to see the soft side of a tough guy, Jeremiah and Dylan are so made for each. He is a hardened former military man and she is a very sassy nurse who takes no crap. A match made in heaven.
