Beating the Biker #1

Making Her His

Rate this book
Can he convince the woman of his dreams to look past his family's dark connections and take a chance on a lowly motorcycle mechanic? And if he does, can he look past hers? From USA TODAY Bestselling author, Lexy Timms, comes a spin off from the Hades’ Spawn MC series – Beating the Biker. Saks’ Story Anthony Parks, AKA Saks, straddles two worlds and neither one is very reputable. By day, he’s a motorcycle mechanic and Road Captain of the Hades’ Spawn, a none-too-squeaky-clean motorcycle club. By night, he’s the scion of an organized crime family who wants him to join the family business full time. Recent events with the Spawn MC have soured his community reputation, and while certain women like bad boys that’s not the kind Saks is looking for. Add in pressure from his family to marry, and Saks is faced with an impossible situation. His wise-guy uncle proposes an arranged marriage between Saks and the daughter of a don from another crime family. When he meets a mysterious blonde who shows him love at first sight is possible, he knows he can never accept his uncle’s proposal. Now he has to figure out a way to tell Uncle Vits without getting excommunicated from the family or putting the Spawn in the crosshairs of a powerful crime organization. Now if only he could find the woman who stole his heart. Christina’s story Christina Marie Serafina decided a long time ago that her loving but paternalistic family wasn’t going to determine the course of her life. She has no desire to get mixed up in any of the illegal businesses her family owns. She’s earned a Masters in Business and Communications on her own dime, and just landed her dream job as Director of Marketing for an up and coming business. Marriage and a family aren’t in her game plan right now. When her grandfather announces that he’s arranged a marriage for her with a good Italian man, Christina goes ballistic. She’s marrying a man of her own choosing, not some member from another crime family. Urged by her sister to at least check the guy out, she goes to his family’s bar to confirm her suspicions. Except she meets a handsome biker that knows exactly how to send her body into overdrive. Realizing the hunky man is the one her grandfather wants her to marry sends her into flight mode, even though he haunts her dreams. Can Saks convince the woman of his dreams to look past his family connections and take a chance on a lowly motorcycle mechanic? And if he does, can he look past hers? 2 mafia families decide that they will have an arranged marriage to forge an alliance. Anthony ‘Saks’ and Christina ‘Chrissy’ don’t approve of their families lifestyles and have law abiding jobs. Both are opposed to the arranged marriage. Saks and Chrissy fell in love/lust at first sight but neither realise until the cliffhanger at the end that they are meant to be married. Both believe the other to be in on the plot.

Enticing enough for me to read the next in the series.

I enjoyed this storyline. The characters were likeable with lots of spirit. I’m looking forward to the rest of the series to see how the storyline pans out. A great performance.

Meh. This end on a cliffhanger and is part of a serial so I won't be continuing. It just didn't do anything for me. It dragged out the whole "finding out the real identity" thing for too long. There were too many wacky coincidences that felt kinda lame.

Deleted from my kindle.

Making Her His is a short fun sexy story but I hated the ending because it ends on a cliff hanger Overall its a good story, its light, sexy and the characters are interesting. I am hoping book 2 is released soon because I am dying to see what happens with Anthony "Saks" Parks and Chrissy Serafina. Happy Reading!!

Saks and Chrissy get 4 Stars.
It is a good book where the characters did not know that the other was the one there family wanted to set them up with. They are not really in love. They don’t know each other good enough and they fight like cat and dog but they can’t keeps there fingers from each other.
A great book with a nice story.
Can’t wait till the next one.

Red hat queen

I loved this book. I loved Saks and Chrissy and how they finally got together and didn't know that they were suppose to be getting married to each other and when they find out they are devastated. They Can't believe it. This was a very good book. I just love your writing.

Great book

A five star read, this book make me laugh at times, how do much confusion could happen between the two characters. Mafia families want to unite, but the people concerned meet before hand and don't know they are the ones being set up. Mafia, motorcycles, plenty of twists and turns, romance. This was a great short novella can't wait to read more in the series.

So poorly edited

This story was poorly edited AND ended with a cliffhanger. Ugh. In one scene the main character started out wearing jeans and two paragraphs (if that) later, she was wearing a skirt. And it was not possible for her to have changed her clothes. Silly mistakes like this detracted from enjoyment of book.

this book was awesome, great characters, really good story line, enough heat to melt your ereader / book, but it ends on a cliff-hanger, and that's why it's not a 5. I can't wait to read the next part of this book to find out what happens ......

Cliffhangers

I would have given this book four stars instead of three but the main book and the extra short novella are both cliff hangers. I normally give only one or two stars for cliff hangers but both stories are good.

Good

Book was good but to short. I was getting so into it and it ended, so now I have to buy the next one, that makes me mad. I don't mind buying other books in a series but not short ones.

Loved this book - what could go wrong did. But Saks & Crissy survived brilliantly..! They are an unexpected pair, so alike but that is part of their charm.
Great to read about other main characters - it fills out their story & this as well.

A great read, but sadly one that is not a stand alone need to read the next book to find out how things go for the pair which is highly frustrating so i tend to stay away from such books because i often forget to read the next instalment...
