Batman Arkham: Joker's Daughter is a compilation of some of the best representative of Joker's Daughter stories over the years centering one of the more unknown foes in the Batman Rouges. This collection features the Joker's Daughter in all her many incarnations throughout the years.
This trade paperback collects Batman Family #6, #8–9, #16, #19, Batman: Joker's Daughter #1, Batman: The Dark Knight #23, Detective Comics #482–483, Titans: Secret Files and Origins #2, and Teen Titans/Outsiders: Secret Files and Origins #1.
Duela Dent as the Joker's Daughter is a fictional (super)-villain created by Bob Rozakis, she first appeared in Batman Family #5 (August 1976). The character claims to be the child of many of Gotham City's most infamous super-villains, including Catwoman, Scarecrow, the Riddler, the Penguin, Two-Face, Doomsday, Dr. Light, Punch and Jewelee, and of course the Joker. With each unproven claims go with another alter ego, but the Joker's Daughter is the most prominent and often used.
As a whole, Batman Arkham: Joker's Daughter is a rather well collected anthology of the Joker's Daughter stories. In truth, before going into this anthology, I did not know much about the Joker's Daughter and frankly, when I think about Batman's Rogue Gallery – she is not on it. Furthermore, I do not think that she is used very often or popular enough to have her very own anthology. Regardless, it is a nice collection of stories and gives the reader a nice overview of the Joker's Daughter.
All in all, I think Batman Arkham: Joker's Daughter is a somewhat well selection of stories that gives a nice glimpse into the psyche of one of the most enigmatic villain in Batman's Rouge Gallery – Joker's Daughter. It is a good anthology for both the avid and subdued fan alike. However, for the newly initiated I would recommend a collection that is more substantial and cohesive.
