While working with a matchmaker to find love, the last person Savannah St. James expects to fall for is the man behind the bar of her favorite restaurant. When someone from Gabriel’s past returns and he begins to shut her out, Savannah starts to doubt their connection. And when her life takes an unexpected turn, everything changes.

Will their relationship be over before it ever had a chance to begin?

*********Spoiler Alert********

This book has one of those hero's you just want to slap in the face with a dead fish & smile.

The heroine was none the better.I doubt she had a spine.

“How can I know that you mean that, Gabriel? I don’t want to lose you, but how can I know that you truly aren’t upset by the fact that I may not be able to carry our potential children? How can I know that you aren’t just letting your perceived culpability cloud your judgment?”

She lost her baby because her man was slutting with his ex Valerie. The sexual scene in his office between him & the whorish ex was off the charts priceless.

“I cannot fucking believe that you are in here with this…this…whore. How could you do this to Savannah? It fucking smells like sex in here. Did you bang her on your desk after you banged her at your house? Has this all been one fucking joke to you Gabriel?” Finley screamed.

Enough said

I was excited to get to read this book, but I wound up being disappointed in it. It was a bit of a short read, so I was able to read it in a little over 4 hours. I liked it, don't get me wrong, but I felt that it was a bit off. There was a lot of description, almost too much so for me, so it left little for me to imagine in my head, as I do when I read any other book.

Gabriel and Savannah were career driven characters, and I loved how they both had to make room and time for love. However, we're told a lot of their character quirks, not shown them. Likewise, we're told much of the hows and whys they have the relationships with others that they do, so we never get to see those in action. I was seeing very little interaction between the characters, as if they were just there for a scene with a little bit of dialogue before going on to the next description of what was happening. One thing I really enjoyed was that we knew just how much time was passing as they went through the phases of their relationship!

I admire the dedication and bravery it took to publish a book, but this just wasn't a great fit for me. I wanted the characters, all of them, to spend more time interacting with one another and not so much being left in their own worlds and the reader be given descriptive updates about them. Perhaps future books will be better!

Though I didn't like the storyline, I thought it was okay. Nothing stood out, but acceptable nonetheless. What bugged me the most about this book was the writing itself. I really, really had a very difficult time reading this book because the writing made everything so dull. Right from the first chapter, I knew it was going to be one of the books that took forever to read, not because this book was long, but because everything was so boring.

What a shame. I expected this book to be the one I would enjoy reading and it turned out to be the complete opposite of what I hoped.

A rocky romance story

The story felt rushed in some scenes and then dragged in others. I get that it's the beginning of a series and it was very obvious that each character will get a book but I felt like it was misplaced. A line or two on secondary characters would've been preferred to the way the story sometimes veered away from the MC's. Sorry, this wasn't the series for me.

This book definitely gives you all the feels! I had a hard time putting down this roller-coaster of a ride. I had to take away a star to account for the times I wanted to smack Gabriel but otherwise a totally enjoyable read. I'm looking forward to reading more books by Paris Hansen!

This is a debut novel that I won by commenting on a post on Goodreads! It was a quick read but choppy in places since I felt scenes/venues were skipped that were important to the story and actually turned back a few times to make sure I didn't miss a page or two.

I liked the characters but both Savannah and Gabriel were trying at times. They tended to think for the other and plan their life accordingly. Their lack of communication caused more than one problem between them. I hated Valerie on sight and it never got better and Gabriel was a fool where she was concerned. Brooklyn and Finley were nice additions as was Declan.

There were quite a few twists and turns as well as heartache, fear, tears, laughter, love, hate, businesses to run and lots of loving and heat up the sheet moments. There was closure but enough loose ends even with the epilogue. I'm happy to see there are many more books in the series and I do plan to add them all to my always growing TBR pile!

I'm glad the mother and sister were supportive. So many books where they are not- a refreshing change. I liked the initial meeting of Gabriel and Savannah- the hesitation- too cute! I liked the secondary characters as well. Hope I'll get to read something further about them. I wasn't a fan of the temptation Gabriel had, but it was written well and added more angst. Didn't quite buy what happened after the office scene and it went on a tad too long to reach the end. I think this author will come into her own very soon. She is off to a good start.

Hot, sexy and packed with with the unexpected...
I loved reading this book, it's good, hot, sexy and one very good read. I curled up with my hot tea, a warm blanket and couldn't put it down. It leaves me wanting to read more of what you wrote as I love a good book. Was a wonderful read throughout. The characters pull you in and make you want to read more. Keep it coming...

Liked Gabriel and Savannah's story. She mistakes him for a bartender but he actually owns the restaurant where he is bar tending because he likes to. He watches her for a year going on blind dates because her friend and sister are trying to help her get over a bad romance. Gabriel has an ex-fiance who tries to mess things up and he is almost dumb enough to let her. There is a deep past that he is trying to get over and she has some hangups too. Overall a good read.

This is a quick and easy read. The storyline is well-crafted, intriguing, suspenseful, has drama and steam. The characters are defined, and likable with sizzling chemistry. I liked it.

Finding Love is total summery of the book

I loved every moment. Very realistic storyline. The humour, real life situations, love, sadness, fun and romance makes it one of the best books I have read this year.

Gabriel is the bartender at Savannah's favorite restaurant. She appears to be on first name, gossiping relationship with the entire staff, expect for him, the owner.

Runs the gamut from sickly sweet to simply idiotic

And seriously, was this written using speech recognition? Bizarre word choices (homonymns are not that hard!) and a dearth of commas (except where they're NOT needed) makes for confusing paragraphs. If you're too lazy to type for yourself, you at least owe it to readers to fucking proofread! Was there no editor? What were you thinking?

I got to about the halfway point and realized something awful must be coming because Gabriel was too perfect--like waaaaay too perfect--and the story might as well be done... yet clearly wasn't. The entire rest of the book was just people fucking things up, totally out of character. It made no sense.

I also saw no reason for either one of them to expand businesses when there were already too few hours in the day. Seriously, how many stupid cupcake shops does one town need, anyway? I'm sorry but in the end I just couldn't care about any o f this.

Savannah went from being a strong heroine who knew that she shouldn’t be treated badly in a relationship to completely losing her spine and actually blaming only herself for whatever went down between her and Gabriel.
And Gabriel... even though he was a playboy he sure was a big idiot. After that office scene even without him cheating on Savannnah there was really no scope for his redemption. I mean how could there have been!! You have a girl almost naked in your office who is getting herself off right in front of you and you are sitting there thinking that maybe this is the rebound you need after you assumed that your girlfriend broke up with you because of your own stupidity! How dense can a guy be?! How do you expect anyone to trust you after that?”

I had expected so much more from this book..
