This was a book written before its time 1986. It covers the dismantling of an analogue society and the assembly of a digital one in the UK and all its ramifications, including data sharing across databases, government surveillance, and the most of all the abuses that it opens the masses to. If the proof of the pudding is under the crust then looking at Britain today makes this an excellent read.
