The Taste of Her Words

Rate this book
Andrea was my first taste of love.

She was there throughout my childhood and into adulthood. Her words were a secret I wasn’t supposed to know. Truths and pain bled onto papers that shredded my innocence and carved a hole in my heart only she could fill.

Her words were my first kiss. They were the uneven breaths I took when I saw her, and my hands between her thighs inside the dreams she haunted. She was my best friend’s older sister and, even though she didn’t know it yet, she was the pen that would ink our destiny into the stars.

Dean tempted me to cross a line I never thought I would.

It had been so long since someone looked at me the way he did. Five years since his starry gaze caressed my words and I ran from a kiss I couldn’t shake. He was everything I should stay away from, but how could I resist the beautifully broken man whose touch stoked a fire within my soul?

Dean was the missing words to my fairy tale. The parchment I could safely put my most intimate thoughts to. But when secrets from the past catch up with us, how could our perfectly plotted ending survive?

Dean always had a “thing” for his best friend’s older sister, but the Guy Code and the fact that Andy was a few years older made any chance he had with her mission impossible, until that one kiss….

The years have passed and Andy’s life isn’t a Fairy Tale, except for her young son, it could be considered a horror story, but her words, her thoughts and her dreams became her strength when things got hard. Andy dreamed of using her words to create new worlds for people to enter and be swept away form reality, if only for a while. When her son’s father becomes the villain of every waking moment and Andy has been beaten down by a harsh mother and the brother from Hell, it is Dean, who comes back into her life that lights a spark in her heart next to the torch that her son owns. But she holds back for as long as she can as Dean, the full-grown man wise beyond his years stands before her, willing to be her support, her ally, her lover.

Time has no limits on love and two damaged souls dance around the words they long to say, the feelings they try to withhold until it is almost too late. Candace Knoebel’s THE TASTE OF HER WORDS is deeply moving, painful, heartwarming and at times, a nightmare from hell. Ms. Knoebel has poured more beauty into her words than I have read in a romance in so long, this went straight to my soul, like the poetry of life. Witness as Andy grows, endures and finally tries to stand up to the twisted machinations of a monster trying to control her very breath and beat down any sense of worth she has.

Feel the love that pours off the pages, the passions and the turmoil that roils within the pages of Ms. Knoebel’s tale, and find yourself looking for the light at the end of tunnel that marks a new beginning. Wonderful writing to be savored and felt.

I received this copy from Candace Knoebel in exchange for my honest review.

This is my first novel from Candace in a while and I forgot how her worlds truly speak to you as you read them. This book took that to an entire new level. She gave us two characters that were meant to be together and told us from the very start that they weren't. Then she gave us some of their words and I was a goner. The writing in this novel is unlike anything I have read in a long time. It looked into the souls of the characters and that isn't something you often get to do.

Dean and Andy's store is strife with true struggles and a whole lot of life getting in the way. Dean has so much he wants to say to Andy and as for Andy she wants to hear it all. The only problem is that she is trying got stay afloat as life really does eat her down. A trip back home foe both of them for the summer holidays brings all the fireworks we are expecting and far more trouble than I saw coming.

This is one of those books that you find yourself rooting for the characters from the get go. You know they deserve each other and you know that they are going to have to fight if they want to get that happily ever after.

The emotions and raw truths in this book were powerful. Throw in all the thoughts that are given raw from Andy's mind and you really do find yourself feeling what she feels. She is the type of characters i would love to sit and have coffee with. Just to be in the same room. She is a force and one to be proud of.

Candace shines with this book. She put it all on the table and in the end this book is going to make waves, I can feel it. A story about survival and forgiveness. 5 HUGE stars.

I generously received this ARC from Inkslinger PR in exchange for an honest review…

Oh my goodness... The Taste of Her Words was such a beautifully captivating story that I am so honored and blessed to have been given the privilege to have read in advanced. This story managed to capture my heart right from the very beginning and held on for dear life until the very end. Candance Knoebel has a magical way with words and this story was truly all about the words. I have never highlighted so many quotes in one book before like I have with this story. The writing was so brilliant and I was blown away by the emotions I experienced while devouring this one of a kind story.

Age...six years older to be exact...is but a number in this breathtakingly emotional read about second chances (although this is not a traditional second chance romance I do classify it as one since they did share the perfect kiss five long years ago). Hands down this story took me on a journey of emotions and gave me all the FEELS. Andy and Dean are the kind of couple that readers will root for until the end of time. These two are absolutely perfect for each other and are able to defy all odds to be together. In many ways I believe that these two could very well share the same soul and heartbeat because they are the perfect match.

Andy and Dean's story is absolutely special and one of my most impactful reads of 2017. I cannot wait to see what the author comes up with next!

My thanks go to the author for the advanced reader copy of this book.

I'm going to start this review off by saying that I have previously read this authors PNR series Night Watchmen. I loved that series so when I was given the opportunity to apply for the ARC of this book I was certain I was going to enjoy it. However, a small part of me was shocked by the change in genre and it being a contemporary romance but I went into it with an open mind and I'm pleased to say I really enjoyed it.

Okay, so Andy is a single mother taking care of her 10-year-old son. She also happens to be an aspiring writer but due to being a single mother and life getting in the way she is unable to fulfill that dream. She is also dealing with a bullying and controlling ex who just happens to be the father of her son who is hell bent on making her life as miserable as possible by going after full custody of their son just so he can have all the power over her. Andy is also secretly in love with her younger brothers’ best friend.

Dean has always had a thing for Andy and five years ago they ended up kissing, however because of Andy and her fears and her reluctance to rock the boat with her ex and protect her son, Andy walks away. Obviously, Dean is devastated.

Now it's the present day and they're thrown back into each other’s lives. The old feelings are still there, even more so. Those pent-up feelings are tenfold now and the attraction resurfaces. After spending a little time together, they begin the relationship they wanted to start 5 years ago. BUT things aren’t as easy and care free as they seem and starting a relationship whilst fending off all sorts of issues that are thrown their way isn’t going to be easy.

I really enjoyed the characters although if I have any criticism it’s that Dean wasn’t passionate enough for me, I would have liked to have seen a little more aggression in passionate terms. I thought Andy was the right kind of shy, she had that girl next door feel to her, the one you can’t help having some empathy and sympathy for. I’m probably going to sound like a loon for saying this but I really enjoyed Matt’s character, not the abusive part but the perhaps redeemable part. It doesn’t excuse any of the unspeakable things he had done but gave him that humanitarian edge.
All in all, though I really enjoyed it. It’s a testament to an author when they can make you go through several different emotions in one book and that is what happened whilst reading The Taste of Her Words.

This book! THIS. BOOK!!
All the words! All the feels!!

I have been a fan of Knoebel's from the very start of her career. She is a master at delivering stories that suck you in and keep you entertained, even for hours after you have finished reading them, but this book has to be my fave. For me, it is her break out story. This is the book that is going to really make people stand up and take notice (if they haven't already), and I want to share it with everyone I know because it is just that freaking brilliant.

Andrea and Dean's tale of romance is sweet and seductive, with a little bit of darkness and a whole lot of sensuality mixed in to make this a stellar read. There are not enough words to accurately express the emotions that consumed me as I read this book but let me just say that it gave me chills, it had my heart racing, and the butterflies whipped up a tornado in my belly with each flip of the page. When two characters steal your heart from the very first moment you meet them, you know you'll be rooting for them every step of the way. Dean may have had anger issues and his past seemed to follow him, but knowing his motivation behind it all and knowing he was really the good guy in all of it made me fall for him even more. Andrea is my girl crush. Her words alone had me swooning, but she was an amazing character, too; a strong woman who was just trying to make the best of her situation, she had her own demons to face, and my heart went out to her.

I did not want this book to end. I wanted to live in these character's world and be privy to their lives for the rest of my days. I wanted Andrea to voice her thoughts every second of the day, and for Dean to be the sweet, caring man that he was. This one is definitely going on my shelf of most loved books of all time!! Spectacular from start to finish.

The Taste of Her Words

"Cover the cracks until I'm a patchwork of your love."

There are some great quotes in this story. I enjoyed the characters and the story line. It is a contemporary romance that touches on several real life situations.

Andy and Dean always had a connection with their love of words.

Andy is a single mom trying to navigate life. She wants to be strong and independent but sometimes your strength is shown when you know it is time to ask for help.

Dean is her brothers best friend. She hasn't seen him years until her brother and his friends show up at the bar where she works.

And here starts the story of love, lies and secrets.

I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is my first taste of Candace Knoebel's work and it definitely won't be my last, I found her writing to be refreshing and unique, I just loved the poetry quotes throughout the story.

I was on the edge of my seat throughout most of the book, I swear I read parts through my fingers cause it was hard to read. But I found it even harder to put down and the story did leave me with a smile on my face.

I adored the characters, I felt the connection between Andrea and Dean right from their first meeting.
Such an emotionally heart-breakingly beautiful story. My emotions are still all over the place. It's definitely a story you'll be thinking about long after the last page is turned.

5 "Beautifully stunning and healing" Stars!

This book was emotional. It had me rubbing my chest where my heart is. I felt numerous emotions while reading this book. It takes you on such a ride that you don't even know what's next. With that said, this story also has its happy moments. And more than anything, it's a story of healing.

Andy, her life isn't the way she pictured it. She aspired to be a writer, but due to other circumstances that dream is put on hold. Though she's not pursuing it, she hasn't stopped writing. The object of her poems is the same person she ran away from all those years ago.

Dean, he's best friends with Andy's younger brother. He's always felt something for Andy other than attraction. He knows he's younger than Andy, but that doesn't matter to him. Though, how the "guy code" goes, he knows he should stay away from Andy. Five years ago something changed though. Dean and Andy shared a kiss which left them both with so many questions. But Andy ran away and Dean hasn't seen her in fiver years.

When Dean and Andy finally see each other again, that chemistry between them is still there. And Andy knows she should stay away. She has so many things to deal with and doesn't want to involve Dean. Though, how can one silence what the heart is feeling? Andy knows it's wrong to have feelings for Dean. Not only because of the age difference, but also because Dean is her brothers best friend. But she doesn't know how to stop the flutter in heart whenever Dean looks at her.

Dean and Andy are both broken. Both seeking some kind of approval, Andy from her mom and Dean from his dad. Both knowing what it's like to be an outsider. These two beautifully broken souls need the solace of the other to complete the other. I absolutely loved Dean and Andy! Loved how these two characters learned from one another. I loved how they fought their demons with the other by their side.

'The Taste of Her Words' left me breathless. The writing was exceptional. And I fell so hard for the words. Incredible, simply amazing.

I really loved reading The Taste of Her Words...I was hooked from the beginning! They connected through words...words that Andy wrote from the heart and that Dean found and secretly read! Andy is a single mom who is trying to make it on her own without any help from her family and she's dealing with her son's controlling dad - who's trying to get full custody of him! She puts aside her dream of becoming a writer to support her son. Dean, who is her younger brother's best friend and dealing with his own secrets and issues, has been in love with Andy since they were kids. After an extremely hot and passionate kiss, both are wanting more, unfortunately for Dean, Andy can not get over the fact that he's 6 years younger and her brother's bff, so she stops all contact with him! Now 5 years after that unforgettable kiss, they see each other again. Can Andy overcome her issues with their age difference? And can they both overcome their own issues with their families, their past secrets, and current issues with Andy's crazy ex to get their HEA? Definitely a must read for romance lovers! Kudos to the author - Candace Knoebel - I loved the way she used poems through out the book to express the characters feelings and relationship...awesome job!

I was really excited to read this book! I've read all this author's other books and loved them, so I couldn't wait to read more from her! I also read the first few chapters of this book when the author released them, and it left me desperate to read more! I was then very, very excited when I received an ARC that I made it my next read! I freaking loved this book! It actually took me a few hours to process it before I sat down to write this review! The plot intrigued me right from the beginning and it really drew me in! I also loved the poetry aspect of this book, and even though I don't normally understand poetry lol, it was very beautiful and it added something special! There were some seriously hot scenes in this book too, and I wasn't expecting them to be so steamy lol! The plot also didn't have a lot of action or suspense in it until the last maybe 15%, but there was a lot in the scenes that had action and suspense in them! This book also dealt with something that a lot of other women have dealt with or are currently dealing with and it was a very real situation! The characters were also amazing and made this book even better! Andrea 'Andy' was the main female character, and in this book Andy was dealing with a lot! I'm trying really hard to not post any spoilers or give too much away, but my heart went out to Andy because all she wanted was to give her family the best and provide for one little guy in particular! I loved Andy! She was very easy for me to connect with and everything she did was for her family! I also loved Andy with her love interest! She did become more confident when she was with him and he helped her let go and supported her! Dean was the main male character and love interest of Andy! I loved Dean a lot in this book! All he wanted was to be with Andy and help her to realise that they were made for each other! I also admired Dean a lot because he gave Andy space and he waited until she was ready to start something! Dean was also such a nice, everyday guy and I loved the way he encouraged Andy! He encouraged her love of words and he tried his best to be there for her! Dean was also very protective of Andy and it was easy to see the amount of love he had for her! I was hoping that this book was going to be written from both Andy and Dean's point of views, but I wasn't sure if it was going to be! I was really happy that it was because it helped me connect more with both characters and it also allowed me to understand how they really felt about each other! I can also completely understand why this book is a standalone! Everything was wrapped up and all the questions were answered! The ending was also left at the perfect place and was very beautiful! I really hope that this author releases more contemporary books! I'm not sure what her next release is going to be, but I've loved both her contemporary and paranormal books, so I'm definitely going to be reading it regardless of its genre! The cover for this book is stunning! I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it and it suits the book perfectly! Big thank you to Candace for an ARC of The Taste of Her Words and to Inkslinger PR for having me on the Blog Tour!

Books are full of words, but The Taste of Her Words made them take on a life of their own. Each chapter started with a poem, a promise of what the chapter would mean for the characters.

"Break me in half and mold me back together.
Slit me and watch me bleed love.
Aching.
I'm aching to feel."

The Taste of Her Words is a second chance romance about Andrea 'Andy' and Dean.
They grew up together; Dean is Andy's brother's best friend. A chance encounter one night leads them back onto the slippery slope of having to deal with their feelings for one another.

"The way he moved his hips sent shivers up my spine. I hadn't known he could dance. Didn't know I was walking myself into a trap I wasn't sure I wanted to escape."

"...Say you don't see me like that. Admit you don't want me to kiss you again. Tell me you aren't curious."

"I could love you, if I let me.
I could love you, if I don't forget me.
You're handing your heart,
While I hide in the dark.
I could love you, if you let me.
I could love you, if you can accept me."

Their love was a journey pot marked with secrets and bad choices. Their histories nipping at their heels like hell-hounds out for blood.

"...How could I have walked away from someone who knew me to my marrow? I thought I was doing what was best for both of us. In the end, I was only hurting us more."

Words in this book were used to their fullest potential. Two characters so in tune with their own sense of self. Secondary characters with more flaws than an old chipped tea cup but like the teacup, those flaws gave them substance and made them believable. Made them people I found myself wanting to hold a conversation with. People who were just doing the best they could, even if their best was the wrong way of doing things.

The Taste of Her Words was a thrilling and intoxicating read. My heart broke for Andy and Dean more than once. The author threw everything but the kitchen sink at them, and yet, they still found ways to be true to them and each other.

"I found you in between heart beats,
Inside a caught breath,
Hiding behind a cage of bone.
Dance with me, you said.
Find our rhythm home."

The Taste of Her Words isn't always an easy read, but nothing worth doing is ever easy. If you love angst and drama and a love truer than true, this book is for you, I couldn't recommend it enough.

The Taste of Her Words by Candance Knoebel
“Single mom falls for brothers best friend, 5 stars”

Oh, how I loved The Taste of Her Words. Knoebel had me falling into the story within the first couple of pages. Andy and Dean have history and odds stacked against them. To top things off Andy is at odds with the fact Dean is younger than her. Love isn’t always an easy journey, something Dean learned a long time ago, but if he gets Andy at the end its all worth it. Knoebel will make you fall in love with the boy next door with alpha tendencies and a sweet demeanor.
Andy lives in the world of words. It doesn’t matter what she’s doing words always come to her. At one time, she planned on making a living with her words, now she’s working a dead-end job trying to support herself and her son. Andy has a crazy ex and feelings for a man she shouldn’t, or should she? What will happen when Andy accepts the man she’s supposed to be with?
Dean has loved Andy for as long as he can remember. He fell in love with her as a person and her words. Words are what brought the two together to begin with. Dean has been standing on the side waiting for her long enough, it’s time to go after what he’s always wanted. As an added bonus, he falls for Andy’s son. Will he get the life he always dreamed of or will Andy’s ex take it all away?
I felt like I was sucked into Dean and Andy’s world, it played like a movie in my mind. My pink book highlighter got a killer work out. I fell in love with not only Andy’s words but Dean’s as well. They were each other’s missing puzzle piece. The secondary characters were on point and I feel like typical for families which made the story more real. Take a chance and one-click The Taste of Her Words, in the meantime here are a couple quotes from the story that I loved;
“She felt like home inside my hands.”
“We were an explosion of stars. Two comets set on a predestined path, finally colliding.”
“You’re a thousand beautifully broken pieces, welded together again. Made stronger. More resilient.”
Plot- 5/5
Characters- 5/5
Heat- 5/5

***I voluntarily reviewed this book for Katsindiebookblog, and I gained no monetary incentives nor was I specifically requested to review the book.*** Holy S**T! This is right up there with some of my best reads so far this year! I’m not sure what I expected after reading the synopsis, but I never expected this! The author’s words are magical and so life like. You are easily thrown into the world with each word.
Andy lives the world of single mothers. It’s a very hard world to live in, especially if you have personally done so. Having a controlling ex does not help matters at all. Dreams get put on hold, everything must be put aside so your priorities gets taken care of.
Dean has lived in the proverbial shadows for years. A passionate kiss was shared years ago, however age and friendships are blocking all paths. However, when you just can’t take it anymore, you are pushed to fight for what is rightfully yours. That is what Dean sets off to do.
Each character has their own issues to work with, would it be easier to work on them apart, or could it help with fighting them together? When love and a child are involved, it changes everything. How you think and how you act. Can these 2 fight their issues and demons and be what they both want? A loving relationship and family? Or will their demons and issues stand between them and they will go to live the life neither of them truly want?
This was a very well written book, great descriptions, and a feeling of being in the story yourself. You can definitely feel what the characters are feeling at each moment. I highly recommend this book. This is a unique story with much inside to tell. Don’t hesitate to One-Click this!

This book gripped me from the beginning and I loved that the author did dual point of view, so you got both sides of the story.

I loved the way that the characters were always putting each other's feelings before their own. I must say I did love Dean straight away; he was kind, gentle and very loving to Andy and her son, Charlie. At times I wanted to shake Andy though and say “look what's being offered to you”!

Deans best friend’s sister is five years his senior and with a ten year old son; but it doesn't stop him from sneaking a first kiss from her 5 years previous. As well as holding on to the fact she will be his one day.

The story picks up five years after the kiss, during a chance meeting when they both go home for the July 4th family get together. There's always been a spark between them but Andy now comes with baggage; a kid, a job in a bar, going nowhere in life and a physco ex. Dean has his dark past too but will he ever let Andy in to know of his pain? Will the age gap between them matter? Will they let what other people, including their families, say keep them from their HEA? You will have to read it for yourself to find out.

The need to know if they'll give in to their true feelings was immense and the way the story flowed so well made it a pleasure to read. This is the first book I have read from this author and I definitely liked what I read.

I enjoyed this novel - the storyline was great, the characters were relate-able and it was a good amount of love, drama & suspense.

I loved Dean & Andy's relationship, but I feel like they just kind of told the story of how they met, how they kissed, etc. There was no full background on it which bothered me. We were kid of thrown into it, so when they first see each other at the bar it seemed very awkward for both of them to be so awkward & uncomfortable. It would have been nice to have more background/connection to their history before we were thrown into their relationship.

I know the title is called 'Taste of her Words', but I didn't like the quotes just thrown in throughout the story, I didn't feel like those really helped move the story along, and it actually kind of broke up the story for me interrupting the flow. I understand it was supposed to refer back to their initial connection, but maybe because I didn't feel that connection from the beginning with the words it felt choppy when these came up in the story.

Also, what was the deal with the brother (Josh?)? He could have been left completely out of the story, I didn't feel like he did not contribute to anything (drama could have been found elsewhere). It seems like he was maybe introduced (especially his drama closer to the end) to set him up for a spin off in a next book so he had to be included in this one.

The book may have had a bit of a slow beginning for me, but it picked up speed about half way through and I really enjoyed the storyline. Just as I was about to go to bed, the book picked up even more speed and I read for 2 hours straight to finish the book because I needed to know what happened! A great ending!

This book was full of love, lust & suspense and I am excited to read the rest of the series.

4 Stars!

This is seriously emotion, deeply moving and beautiful! Tissues are necessary!

Andy has been beaten down by life. Her only shining light is her son, Charlie. She turns to words to keep her feelings at bay and her emotions under control, writing in her head, on paper and even sweeping her finger through the air. Dean is her younger sister's best friend and the only person Andy trusts. Dean has long had a thing for her, but she is off-limits, or at least she had been. Andy's words change everything between them.

This is at times difficult to read. I found myself tense and angry at times at the people in Andy's life. I smiled at Charlie, the sweetest boy. I yearned for Andy and Dean to come together and heal. Because, that is what this book is really about...healing and love. Candace Knoebel is so talented with her words, evoking feelings and actions from me as I read.

Whilst it is not unusual for romance novels to include stories with age gaps between the two main characters, often it is the other way round - the younger female swept off her feet by the mature gent.  Here, that dynamic is shifted on its head, but in such a delicate way that it will make your heart ache.

Actually, I think that the whole story has the potential to make your heart ache.  These two are clearly drawn to each other, and yet Andy's attempt to keep them apart just puts them both through pain.

The characters are wonderful, the feelings are delightfully woven through the narrative and the story will just have you glued to the pages.

Beautiful.

This book was good but around 60% it became great! I was sucked in and couldn't put it down!

I felt this book was very eloquent in it's writing and sharing the written word. The poems were good and help suck you in to the story that was being told.

Dean is pretty perfect. His love was unwavering. He knew and he never let it die. They way he saw Andy is how every man should look at a woman. Swoon!

Andy just needed a little push. She needed to remember who she was and the person she was meant to be. She was so strong and brave. Begins a single mom is not easy.

This book had it all. Love, a little suspense, some drama, heartbreak and fun.

I loved the Hale family. I could see Josh getting a book for sure. All the characters in this book helped make the story complete.

Such a lovely story.

I enjoyed the different approach of they way this story was written.

Each Chapter gives a bit of something I did not expect to read.

This is a great contemporary romance that will have your heart swooning the way it did mine.

I enjoyed how the main characters held their own as well as how the words that are expressed to one another as well as people around them are soo meaningful and powerful.

The storyline captured me in from the beginning and held my interest with a satisfying ending.

Great Book to pick up for your Summer Reads.

The Taste of Her Words

The Taste of Her Words lacked the words to keep this reader happy. I wanted to like this story but somewhere along the way the story fell flat. It's as if the author did not know what to do with the characters once Dean and Andy got together. And the Matt situation felt as if it were there to keep the story interesting, but to me, it seemed forced. I lost interest after what happened between Dean and Matt because I knew from that point onward some parts of the story would be predictable to the end.

I devoured this book, it is so good. I guess you could call it a second chance romance. Andy and Dean grew up together, Dean being Andy's younger brother's best friend. They shared a kiss then each ran away, not seeing each other for 5 years. The spark is reunited and they fall instantly. Andy's crazy ex is a problem, causing drama and angst. Seriously this is a page turner, I couldn't read it fast enough so I could find out how it ended. Loved it and highly recommend it.

This is the first book I've read by this author. I enjoyed that the story was written from the viewpoints of both of the two main characters. At first the family dynamics made me glad that I hadn't grown up in a family like either of theirs but there is more to it than meets the eye. The author did a good job of revealing the why behind many of the characters actions. This is an honest review in exchange for an arc copy of the story.

This story is very emotional and so unique...words are really the centre of Andy and Dean.
It's a very compelling story and touches on so many emotions..omce you start it's impossible to put it down, I just got lost into the story, with the characters and all their problems and heartaches.
It's certainly a ride and as I said I felt every emotions, good and bad.
This author is one I will follow closely..her words are so beautiful!

I really enjoyed reading The Taste of Her words….
Based around Andy, a 30 year old single mother who is dealing with a custody battle with her ex over their 10 year old son, Charlie… Dean, her little brothers best friend who’s six years younger than her.
You get to see the impact of words and other topics that may be triggering for some.

Age-gap (6 years)
Single mother
Older female - Younger Male
Little brothers best friend/ best friends older sister

Wow! A must read

I read this book in one day! Once you start you can't put it down. Ms. Knoebel's words suck you in from the beginning and take you on an emotional journey to the last word. This has got to be one of the bests books I've read in a while. Had my emotions from happy to sad to mad to sad to happy. I honestly don't give a lot of 5 stars but this book deserves more.

Poetic story

This book doesn’t just tell a story, a passionate romance is weaved throughout with sensual poetic thoughts. I loved this story not just because the struggles are relatable (co-parenting with a person that is not mentally stable) but because the author leads the reader through the characters life.
