R.D.Sharma is a wonderful book without a doubt. But, to prepare for JEE, R.D Sharma Mathematics Book for Class 11 is not enough. Even though R.D.Sharma has great questions, the questions in JEE examination follow a different pattern. You can use this book for thorough knowledge of the concepts. But, to prepare for JEE, it is better to go for books that prepare you for JEE particularly. After all, there is a reason why there are books that focus on JEE specifically.

See, some of the books like R.D.Sharma are hyped in school life and some idiots boast about it that they solve n number of problems from R.D. Sharma etc. These books are useful till class 10 only, i.e. just CBSE rote mugging. One should not think of solving more questions, but quality questions -- which are not present in this book. Remember the formula of quality vs quantity.
